I stopped going here a long time ago but never wrote a review as to why and I think it's important for ppl to know. First off I don't like the points system. They charge more so as to validate their points system and to keep you coming back. My second reason is that I seen Dr kumar for some lip filler and he stabbed up my lips again and again which gave me so much anxiety that I couldn't breath and wanted to pass out. I visited the Park Royal location for the first time, because I recently won a $100 gift but very disappointed with the pricing and service. I had to pay $151 (minus the gift card) for a peel facial that lasted less than 15 minutes! Grace was nice but who charges this much for 15 minutes, while I was promised something else over the phone. So ridiculous and such a rip off. I would NOT recommend their services for anyone, the lady at reception was very very annoying and racist. Can you believe they want your credit card number even before you try their services? Just shocking, who trusts them before a client relationship is established? I was told a regular Med facial costs $250 plus tax, Is this a joke? Surprisingly such companies and services exist! I'm a little late writing this review, the first time I ever had anything done, I was 38, and I started noticing my under eyes looked tired, people started asking me if I was getting any sleep. Uh, no, I'm just getting older. Thanks. So , in I march to Dr. Kumar. I am the biggest chicken! Terrified of needles, and suffer from terrible anxiety, this man was a gentle, beautiful soul, he explained everything he was doing, he gave me squeeze balls, numbed me with cream, had a metal ice block, people!!!! It was a pleasure! He did not bruise,hurt, or scare me! And the results!!!! I have been back over and over! I got Botox between my eyes, brow lift, migraine relief and fillers in my tear troughs, cheeks, and finally lips! I am so happy! Response to doctor's comment: I never asked for sausage or duck lips and my current doctor don't approve of it neither. Somehow even my reviews gets misinterpreted. Lol. That's not what I meant when I say reshaping. I'm sure your results are natural but I needed someone to understand the right technique to give me what I was looking for. . . . . Went there for fillers for the first time ever. I explained to Dr Kumar what I was trying to achieve and showed him pictures of before/afters, but he was pretty dismissive of them. He kept emphasizing that he cannot give me the lips in the pictures cause all our lips are different. I'm very aware that it's not possible to duplicated someone else's lips onto mine but that's not what I was looking for. Tried to explain several times that those were just examples of the effect I wanted, not to replicate those exact lips onto my face. He just kept saying it wasn't possible?? By that point I didn't have much confidence in him so I settled for just half a syringe. Not much difference. A year later I thought I'd give it another chance considering all the good reviews on Yelp. Pretty much the same experience no matter how hard I tried to explain.. I couldn't understand why it wasn't possible. There are so many before/after pictures online of different lips getting the same result I was after. Went to another doctor in Yaletown and he knew exactly what I wanted right away. Explained the different techniques and got it done 2 months later (he was pretty booked). It was super natural and just what I was looking for. All this kinda lead me to think Dr Kumar's skills and techniques seem a bit limited. I went into Dr Kumar's office wanting to discuss two types of botox treatment: 1. In my left lower eyelid, directly below by eye to open it up 2. Between my eyebrows to prevent frown lines As I had not received botox in my forehead before, I had lots of questions and was keen to get the least amount of product possible. When trying to decide on dosage, I repeatedly asked which injections effected which muscles, but Dr Kumar was unable to give me a straight answer. Instead, he kept showing me results from other patients and kept telling me how he had done "thousands of procedures." This is a huge red flag which I wish I had listened to -- why can't a supposed professional give detail on basic human anatomy and muscles when directly asked? After much deliberation, I stupidly opted for the treatment as I was going for the least amount of product possible. Dr Kumar started with my lower eyelid without much warning; I was shocked at how fast and rough the injection was compared to my previous treatments. He was only meant to do one injection, but he did two. After the first, he looked visibly shocked and asked if I was OK. I thought I had put him off by blinking and apologised. He laughed about me having thick skin and injected again. He then proceeded to stab my forehead roughly in quick succession. I was honestly so shocked at how aggressive and rushed the procedures were. For the next few hours at home, my whole face felt extremely uncomfortable from the excessive numbing cream. When it started to wear off, I had pain in the eye he injected under and it was completely bloodshot. After examining in the mirror, it was clear that Dr Kumar had used such careless force, he had pierced straight through my eyelid and into my eyeball. In the morning, I emailed Dr Kumar and he admitted pretty quickly what he had done. He called me to tell me this was a "one off" and proceeded to tell me again he had down this procedure "thousands of times". I did appreciate the call and the offer of painkillers, but just because you have done this procedure before, doesn't mean you can be careless and rush through it. Obviously there is risk with any procedure, but I find it shady that he knew at the time he stabbed a needle into my eye, but failed to mention it. He even let me apologise for blinking! I would have preferred he admitted his fault immediately and saved me the sleepless night worrying about my vision. The results were bad also: my eye looks the same (so I went through the ordeal for nothing), and I have a wonky eyebrow when I frown. Dr Kumar offers touch-ups, but the trust has gone. Please do not get seduced by someone who appears to be nice and offers loyalty discounts. Him offering his contact details is not a selling point. Please remember injectables are complicated procedures and should be performed by strict professionals. Always listen to your gut feeling! read more

Still a fan of the CüR team. So much that I even brought my mother to Dr. Kumar to treat her to her first Botox experience while she was visiting from Oregon. She was a bit nervous so I sat in the treatment room with her (along with my infant in his stroller). She was grateful for Dr. Kumar's thorough explanation of her options and that he wasn't pushy with any products or services. She was even more pleased when she saw results within the first week when she returned for a follow up before heading back to the states. Heard about Cur Laser on social media as well as through great Yelp reviews and called to make my appointment easily. The clinic was super clean and smelled amazing...definitely something I look for before having procedures done. I was greeted with a smile from the front desk and instantly felt comfortable, which is always good :) I didn't have to wait long, and went in to meet Dr. Kumar. He took the time to listen to my concerns and gave me recommendations on what he thought would work best for me. He didn't try to up-sell me and instead gave me the minimum botox and juvederm (1/2ml in my top lip) based on what I was comfortable with. I did get a little anxious at one point (because I'm a bleeder and a sweller lol) but he just kept re-assuring me, which put me at ease. I would say pain was 2/10 as I think the numbing cream didn't get on some parts of my lips. I did get some bruising and swelling but I am on day 3 now and my lips look freakin' FANTASTIC. I am very disappointed with CüR: 1. After 6 sessions the hair on my legs is very dense, although I've been told that it takes 6-8 sessions for the hair to be fully (90%) removed. I am at at most 40%. 2. My technician was changed 3 times, so basically it was very hard for them to observe the evolution or to be accountable. It is also uncomfortable, because as soon as I got used to one, it changed. 3. The service at reception was poor. Almost every single time there was a mix-up with my appointments. I don't usually complain, but I am really very unsatisfied with the service. So here I am, after 6 sessions, months later, after paying so much money, I need to return to waxing, when the whole purpose was to not need to go anymore. read more

Dr.Kumar and Alina were amazing! I did Miradry for underarm sweating and Botox injections for jaws. Miradry took kinda while to fully recover but I'm so happy with the result! I was having excess underarm sweat and couldn't wear gray t-shirt, but I have not problem to wear it today! The worst downtime was only first 3-4 days for me so I went back to work a week after the treatment. I was supposed to go back to the clinic to check if I should do 2nd Miradry but because of Covid-19, I needed to go to my home country to stay with my family so I haven't been able to go back there Also, Dr.Kumar did Botox injections for my jaw. The procedure took only 1min and the pain was not that bad. I got 50units of Botox but the result was not big change so I will get little bit more for next time! I usually go see the Brauns but being that the new location is closer I thought I'd try them out. The Dr is very kept me, considerate and accommodating. He went over various options with me and what I really appreciated was that he didn't try to upswell me. In fact, he said he'd like to put less and see how things go then add more if needed. I've had my fair share of laser and beauty treatments, from high end med spas to super sketchy Groupon deals to very clinical, non-personal medical centres. I've gone to places in Vancouver, London, Toronto, Hong Kong, and out of all of them, Dr. Kumar is by far the most compassionate and generous doctor I've met! In my view, here are the PROs of going to Cur Laser: 1. Dr. Kumar is a medical doctor. He administers all the injections - not a nurse or an assistant. This means that he has proper medical training and knows what to do in case of an emergency. This is a big plus for me. 2. Excellent free consultations: Dr Kumar is extremely patient, friendly and thorough. During my consult, I never felt rushed even though I tend to be a bit long-winded and paranoid about side effects. Dr Kumar answered all my questions and concerns. He really listened to what I was after and broke down the cost of how much everything would cost. I found this really refreshing since most clinics won't talk about pricing unless you ask, and then you feel awkward and cheap for asking. At the end of the consult Dr Kumar even asked, "Do you have any more questions?" What a nice guy! 3. Extremely generous: I had fillers injected into my tear troughs and cheeks. I was really satisfied with the results. When I came in for my follow-up appointment, Dr Kumar suggested that I add more filler to my tear trough since there was still some hollowness under my eyes. I figured, why not. I'm getting old, I might as well invest in my face! So, I said, okay. Well, imagine my surprise when he told me that there would be no charge for the tear troughs! What?!! He injected two syringes at my follow-up appointment. That's a couple hundred dollars right there. All comped! Well that's not all. Dr Kumar asked me to come in again for a follow-up to my follow-up appointment. At that third appointment, Dr Kumar injected a little bit more into my tear troughs. No charge again. Who does that? I mean, seriously. Who does that?! That's incredibly generous. I can't imagine that happening at any clinic I've ever gone to. In fact, I can imagine the opposite happening - being pressured to have more added so that I can be charged more. That's some serious generosity going on! 4. Dr Kumar genuinely seems to care: After my first injections, Dr Kumar texted me side-by-side before and after photos. He told me that now I have his cell phone number, so I can text him any questions about after care. Again, who does that? I have never met a doctor who would freely give out their phone number to patients. This is really impressive patient care! Additionally, after my first filler treatment, I had some minor bruising on my cheek. Dr Kumar gave me a complimentary laser treatment to help with the bruising. He didn't need to do this. He could have told me that bruising is a normal side effect and to ice it, but he was genuinely concerned and wanted to make it better. 5. Reasonable prices: after your first treatment, you're signed up for Cur's rewards program. This makes future treatments much cheaper. After doing a lot of research and emailing back and forth with various clinics in Vancouver, I've found that Cur's prices are very reasonable. Add in the loyalty discount, and the treatments are a pretty good deal! In summary, this is a great clinic! It's cozy and clean. For my 30th Birthday I treated myself to botox. I have an over expressive face and EVERYONE knows what I'm thinking by my eyebrows. That being said I was VERY nervous and didn't want to look frozen. He wasn't pushy and he earned my trust immediately. He told me that he wouldn't let me do more than the minimum amount even if I begged him because my face is his business card. I have had a fair share of experience with injectables and I can proudly say that Dr. Kumar is the best ever for lips. Came here for Botox but the results wasn't what I expected. Dr. Kumar is very warm and friendly and even handed out his phone number to follow up on the result of the treatment. He is very knowledgeable and I like that this clinic offers different solutions to my problem areas. He asked me what I wanted to change and I said that I wanted Botox to get rid of the lines on my forehead. He suggested 25 units of Botox on my forehead and my 11's. I'm 28 and my forehead is a lot smoother on the left side of my face than my right. I thought the Botox would be focused mostly on the right side of my face where there is a deep wrinkle. I trusted him completely when he did the injections and I waited a full two weeks for the results to show up. Ultimately the line remains. They did reach out and suggest that I make another appointment. However, at this point, I'm too disappointed from the results.
