The worst experience I've ever had at a salon. I specifically asked in the beginning of my pedicure service for the nail tech to NOT cut cuticles. I had an inflamed spot I did not want her to bother. I confirmed with her she understood and made sure there was no language barrier miscommunication before going back to the chair. I also confirmed with another employee she understood as well next to us. She then physically pushed me from the color area to hurry me back to the chair. She immediately got out her clippers and cuticle trimmer and I again confirmed I did NOT want my cuticles cut. She said yes, but then proceeded to do it anyway. I said please don't! Then more attention was brought on and other employees spoke to her in their language and I again said, " I have asked you not to do that. Please stop. Is she understanding me?" Two other employees confirmed she did understand and they told her again. Then she proceeds to cut cuticles again like she literally could not resist for a third time. I could not have been more humiliated feeling like my request was understood and she was directly going against my desire. I am not one to ever make a scene about something but this situation was ridiculous. At this point I wanted so badly to just get out of there. The male at the counter came around and I assume told her to put the tools away (in their language). I had her paint only from that point on but I should have walked out. Worst experience. The male at the counter apologized and I expected him to offer some sort of discount for such disrespect but then proceeded to charge me full price. I was supposed to get a manicure done, but told him I would not be coming back and felt incredibly disrespected. I called in advance for mani/pedi for 2 adults, 2 children and 1 adult pedi only. It was super late getting started; the children were attended to last, after sitting for over 45 minutes waiting for a technician. They did pedicures first and then walked away. Had to remind them 3 times adults were scheduled for manicures too. Sky advertises kids services and yet had zero accommodations for kids. The kids left after 1 1/2 hours with only one service. I finally got seated for a natural manicure and the technician cut my nails so short it actually hurt. We were there for a wedding and my nails were wrecked before I walked out the door. This was hands down the worst nail experience I have ever had. It took two hours, and I was disappointed with the outcome. This should be a hard pass. read more

She used a drill on my nails which burned and hurt. It was not a great experience and then to pay $65 for regular polish on my toes with a half as* job and a mani with shellac and burning my nails ridiculous! read more

This place is was great. Clean location (next to a great taco spot/mexican market). I got a great and quick acrylic ombré set. They started coming off around the 1 week mark which is unusual however they were placed on a nail bed that had some previous etching from an acrylic set I had removed myself so it might have not been their issue. read more

This place is HORRIBLE!!! Took my girlfriend here and paid $80!!!! For a simple TikTok design which they gave an additional $25 charge for!! The design had significant errors 2 lines weren't straight and the lady should've added darker shades to the design, the quality was poor and not worth $80 I feel I could've done a better job myself. The vibe was definitely a place where I could feel myself getting ripped off every second I was in there! Don't come here and have your little sister do them instead! Save your money!!! read more

This place is a rip off I had a Sky Nails gift card that did not have an expiration date on it. Salon did not want to honor it because the design on it was different than what they are currently using. I have always loved this nail shop up to recently, the techs seem like they don't know what they are doing! Last two times my nails have looked horrible. They have colors out and tell me I can't have those colors. This last time I went they rushed me to pick a color and the lady got annoyed with me and took a bunch of colors and threw them in the chair and told me to sit down and look while she can start my Nails. I didn't know it was that big of a deal for me to choose my color, she was so rude! Last time I went I paid 50 for my nails this time I paid 40 for a fill. Doesn't make sense. Paid just over 80 for my nails... they were too long, they don't talk or ask questions if you want to change anything. I had showed a picture and they took a picture so they could copy the design (no problem with that) but two days after everything started falling off. They don't do refunds or any money back. In the picture there was a butterfly not even two hours after the butterfly had broken in half from me moving my hair behind my ear. I talked to them and they had said "at the appointment we had talked about the butterfly being flimsy". That was a lie they never had a conversation about that. If they knew it was so flimsy they should have told me then we could've talked about different options. But no that didn't happen. Overall I wouldn't recommend unless you are getting very simple nails. The glue they use for gemstones and other stuff isn't the best. I also had my pointer fingers end up with two different designs as on the photo I provided had the same. read more

I was visiting Holland and had a few hours to kill so decided to get my nails done. There were a few nail salons around the area and Sky Nails had the most positive reviews via Google. The only positive i could give this place was the color selection for all nail products. I have never seen so many colors and shades of colors. Thumbs up! As for everything else.... Gross. There was dust everywhere, the work stations were filthy, they used the same files and bowls for each client, they all spoke to one another and laughed as people walked in. I can honestly say i have never walked into a nail salon and wanted to walk back out. My technician was decent with his work but the hand massage was lame and so was the conversation. What a great first experience at Sky Nails! From their covid precautions like wearing masks and taking temps to the service, everything was wonderful! Ivon did a great job on my gel pedicure and acrylics with gel polish. She was very friendly (everyone was!) and took her time which I appreciated. What made the experience the best was that the next day, I decided I wanted my nails shorter than I had asked for. I was overzealous deciding how long I wanted them. Whoops! I called and they told me to come on in and they would do it for me. Lin (sp?) shortened them up and to my surprise, didn't charge anything! I just moved from Florida and have had a hard time finding a nail tech. Steve did a perfect job with my nails. Hundreds of dip and gel colors to choose from. Extremely organized. Steve asked me what I wanted and gave me EXACTLY that. I liked that he really listened to what I wanted instead of telling me what I wanted... which other nail salons have done with me in the past. My nails are PERFECT. My mom had her nails done by Ann... who felt very rushed, at first tried to pull off her previous nails instead of soaking them off, didn't finish the edges of the nails so they were jagged and only dipped twice into the color so the nails are kinda sheer. It seems that Steve asks every single customer if they like their nails before they leave. We said yes. I was thrilled. After leaving my mom finally spoke up and I called the nail salon to go back. I felt comfortable to do this after seeing Steve ask everyone the entire time I was in there if they liked their nails. Steve's wife immediately fixed the nails and now she likes them. Appreciate Steve's wife (I'm sorry, I wish I knew her name) taking the time to fix things. Will be going back to Steve and his wife. Now that I'm looking at my nails I wish she had gone with 3 coats instead of 2 and a lot of my nails has little spots on them, almost like air bubbles. I was able to get right in, and everyone was extremely friendly. A few ladies did not speak English but there were people there to translate. I had a picture of what I wanted and they were able to give me exactly what I wanted. My manicure was done very gently and my cuticles were not cut too short. Worst nail salon experience I've had, I'll stick with GR nail salon its worth the drive. Made an appointment but still waited over 30 min, people coming in after us got right in. Worst pedicure didnt ask what kind we wanted/ upgrade, no scrubbing when asked if the could scrub more on the heel they refused to 1 min massage and done.
