Terrible, terrible! I went in there because I was going to the frozen yogurt place next door and desperately needed a manicure. They were able to fit me in right away, which I took as a good sign. I had three major problems with this place: cleanliness, quality of work and price. I had to ask my technician to clean her instruments. The cuticle cutter still had OTHER PEOPLE'S NAILS in there yet. Still, since I was sitting and I'd asked her to clean them (after which, she squirted some fluid in a bottle which was unlabelled onto them and away we went), I stayed. We got nearly to the end when I realized that most of my nails were uneven. I asked her to cut them down properly and she did a crummy job. I'm a nail biter and continue to get manicures to keep me from biting. I have family pictures being taken next week and I will need to get these redone somewhere else. Oh, and lastly, the manicure was $14 when most of the places I've gone to for a basic manicure are $10. I will never again return. read more

This is the 3rd and final time we will be coming to this place. 1st time the person kept hitting my skin and it hurt. I've been to a number of nail salons and it's not happened this much. Gave it a second try. This time the guy did a really bad job painting. I used shellac and some toes were different shade. So final third chance. Was getting my pedicure redone, the lady cut my nail on the side and I started bleeding so I said ok stop I'm done..... just I've given more than enough chance. But if you do go only the guy named Tin is the best. read more

Very very very disappointed. Walked in and asked how long the wait was and was told that I could be seen now and to pick a color. Obviously this "pick a color" was a lead way for the nail tech--(I'm being very kind by even awarding her that title) to buy some time. Having my mind made up, I chose my color pretty quick. Once seated and instructed to dip my broken nail into some fingernail polish remover, I was told that she would be right back, after about 10 minutes later another lady comes up to me and says "Maam, you thinka you can uh coma back"? I reply, um excuse me ? Come back? My nail polish has been removed, my nail is soaking...come back for what? She replies "She didnt know she had to do uh little girl finganail"...She didnt know? so either she is very unprofessional for not knowing what services her customers are requesting or she had a brain fart and didnt remember telling me she could take care of me NOW.... After about an hour later, I returned and got my services down. Major let down. Should have never returned. Nail tech kept talking and laughing so hard she was shaking my hand and couldnt polish smoothly. Some of my nails were shorter than the others...she was very unprofessional. Just when I thought my nightmare was over, the guy kept swiping my card, at least 7 times! I had to ask, umm is there a problem? why are you swiping my card so many times? Another nail tech then came over to assist.... At this point I just wanted it to be over already. Very disatisfied and honestly will not be back until they get more professional employess and etiquette set in place. NEVER going back to this salon. -Rude workers -Customer Service is horrible -Service on nails is horrible, they rush through the work -They used regular acrylic for my SOLAR nails!!!!!! -Prices are extremely high/ not worth the price -They hop from customer to customer, they will stop doing your nails to wax other customers eyebrows then go back to you and apologies after they have you waiting, then start back on your nails, then do it over again..UNACCEPTABLE!! My Experience: I went in on 4/7/16 to get a pedi and a mani, i requested for PINK/WHITE SOLAR, instead of them putting the pink and white powder on my nails to make them solar, they put white tips on my nails and filled them in with REGULAR ACRYLIC, then put a top coat of clear GEL POLISH on my nails & still charged me $35.00 for it, after i clearly asked for PINK and WHITE SOLAR nails. I explained to them that it was not solar and then they started arguing with me, then advised me that if anything was to go wrong with my nails to come back and they will fix it with free of charge, i paid then left. Went back a few days later to let them see my so called SOLAR NAILS, the clear GEL POLISH was peeling on all my nails and all my nails were lifting, then my pinky nail cracked. As soon as i walked in the man that is stationed at the first seat told me that he was going to be right with me to fix it and had me soak my nails in acetone for an whole HOUR, i started to peel the residue off my nails from the "ACRYLIC", once he finished the other customers nails, he came over to me and told me he was going to "FIX" my nails but will have to charge me $35 again to fix them???????????? (HOW CAN YOU FIX THEM, MY NAILS ARE COMPLETEly OFF!!!!) I was so upset i even spoke with the so called BOSS at this company and he also advised me that he was going to have to charge me for my nails to be done again since they were completely off after THEY made me sit in the acetone. You just lost a loyal customer. I have been going to sky nails since I've lived in Austin. I even planned sky nails into my cousins bachelorette party and brought a party there to give you business. Last time I was there they took my money before I could show them my free $10 off services I had earned with my 10 paid services. I told them not to worry about it and I'd use it next time. So, I go in there and as always they try to get me to do gel or SNS. It always peels off my nails. I'm sorry but I'm not paying $35-50 for something that peels the next day. It's pretty I agree but regular polish works better for me. So to start, they treat me different bc I want regular polish. They try telling me glitter polish is a design and would be extra? So, then I go to pay. He says $12 and I take out my $10 off and hand him $2 Plus tip. The owner laughs and holds the money up and tells the lady who did my nails. I am a religious nail shop customer. I just moved to Austin from California and immediately noticed the increase in price for nail services. I just left church and decided to try this place. I broke a nail yesterday and wanted a broken nail fixed and a change in polish. I walked in and they were pretty busy but the guy said they could take me right away, a plus in my book. That is where it all went down!!!! The guy helping me insisted that I needed a fill despite my continued attempts to convince him I only wanted my nail fixed and color changed. He then proceeded to tell me that I had fungus on my nails (which is not true). He the. Asked me what happened, well sir I broke a nail what the heck do you think happened? So he fixed my nail and insisted I pay him before the polish, I didn't mind but as the customer I should be given the option. He pained my nails and made fun of the color I choose (I selected another color to get him to stop laughing). He painted them and walked away and left me to dry on the small desk fan, it was 20 min (and I am not exaggerating) before I got frustrated and left. I'm now in my car writing this review and my nails are still not dry! I have never been treated with so much disrespect as a customer and I'm not even satisfied with the way my nails look. I'm now going to Walmart to buy polish remover and will paint my own dang nails. What a waste of time and money read more

If I could give this salon a zero I would. First it took the man two hours to do what should have been an hour maximum. Then he ruined the nails at the last step. He said come back tomorrow and I will fix it. I already spent 2 hours wasted at your salon for terrible service-no way I'll ever come back. I don't even know how you mess something up so badly. I'm new to the area and I noticed this salon near me that advertised on their window that they do the Shellac nail polish and so stopped in for a deluxe mani/pedi the other day. The ladies were very sweet but the whole process took nearly two hours. The inside is pretty nice and very clean. The massage chairs worked well however the paint job and massage they did on me was not worth the expenditure. I asked for the Shellac and they ended up using some off brand of gel-polish. I was impressed they said they could do a french manicure with the Shellac as usual manicures start to chip after 2 or 3 days but after the job was complete the white painted tips looked like crap. I could have done a better job with my left hand. The white tips were not even and I could see spots where they didn't put enough polish. I was embarrassed by my nails and that I paid more than $50 for that. The pedicure turned out ok but all in all, I'll just look for another place next time. read more

A coworker recommended this place because I was looking for a local salon. The first time I went I was very impressed and felt I had a new spot. The last two times were less than stellar. My recent visit was the last straw and I will not visit again. I was cut three times during my pedicure and that's way too many times. Currently my big toe is sore from what was done. I tipped her because I thought my polished looked fine, but when I looked closer it was streaky. I was doing an impromptu spa day and after a Walmart run, I drove by and stopped. They had three pedicure options at $22, $38, and $50. I chose the $38 delux pedicure since I was splurging. I will NEVER get a cheap pedicure now after today! I was seated quickly, offered a beverage and was constantly asked how I felt, if my chair was fine, etc. I had a scrub, a LONG massage with a clay mask, hot towels, and essential oils. The lady was extremely thorough with my nasty EMT boot wearing feet. They have a nice waiting space and was very clean and professional. She didn't try to up sell me but explained all the options they offered. My feet are baby soft. They have a lot of nice and current (Texas and Cali) OPI polishes. Not clumpy or nasty. They did a wonderful job with my eyebrow wax too. Quick not to painless and only $8. The only thing I would say wasent 100% was that they speak back and forth a lot amongst themselves but what salon doesn't. :-) read more

I recently started going to Sky Nails after starting work nearby. I was really impressed by the service. It is a family-run business and the people there are very friendly. Also, on my last visit they were able to seat three of us in my group together for pedicures which was nice that we didn't have to wait around for someone to finish before another began, They have lots of chairs and are ready and staffed for the business. Walk-ins seem very welcome. The prices were reasonable, too. I'm sure I'll be back in the future when I'm in the mood to treat myself. read more

I've never ever left a bad review anywhere before but thought I should warn anyone who is looking for good customer service to be careful of who you get to do your nails at this salon. I've had several good experiences here, especially with the male employee who sits by the desk, but after today, they've lost my business. Went in for a mani/pedi, decided, very politely, BEFORE they started anything on my manicure that I wanted regular polish instead of shellac and apparently customers aren't allowed to do that as I sat in my chair and heard one of the employees get extremely upset and make me and one of my girlfriends extremely uncomfortable for at least 10 minutes while they talked amongst themselves about it, or should I say yell, and pick up a polish they suggested (that I politely declined and asked for one more brown and less purple) and shake it and get very upset about that too. I'm a hardworking nurse and it's a rare occasion that I get to treat myself to the salon, so I can't help but be extremely upset about the awful customer service I received here today. I believe this employees name was Mimi, I'm hopeful the manager will see this review and prevent this from happening to anyone else. read more
