My first experience here was good for the most part. I came back for a fill on 11/15 and had probably the worst experience getting a fill ever. The gentleman who did my fill was very rough on my hands , so much to the point he broke 4 of the acrylic nails. The salon was not busy, but he was rushing to get me out of his chair immediately. He did not take the time to ensure my nails were the same length and shape, and also left my nails unevenly thick. I chose a brown gel coat, and it started to chip after only 2 days. I went back Monday 11/17 to get it fixed, the tech who fixed it was quiet but kind. To my surprise, today 11/19 another one of my nails has chipped. Update: I went back the following weekend and Ruby did a good job charging my polish, and fixing the uneven thickness and shape. She was kind and attentive. read more

I rarely have to wait very long for my service either Ruby my nail tech always does such amazing work! So creative and detail oriented, while also working fairly quickly. My time at Sunflower nails used to last such a long time. And I'm always crunched for time and have so much to do. I often left somewhat disappointed but stuck with my sweet nail lady for much longer than I should have. But my pedicurist at sky nails also does amazing, quality work that is long-lasting as well! She fixed an ingrown toe nail that I got from sunflower nails almost a year earlier that had cost me a painful trip to the ER. 5 trips to wound care. A break then another trip to ER and two trips to wound care before they were referring me to podiatry to pull my nail... I have not had one issue since moving to sky nails. She gave my 5 year old a first time manicure treat as well. But the staff did not wait until the top layer dried out before applying a second layer. I went in for a simple color change. Had gotten my acrylics done the day before at my usual salon that's 40 minutes away from my house but ended up hating the color I chose when I got home. I didn't want to drive 40 mins back so I decided i'd just find a nearby salon for a quick color change. I spent $28 just to change the color, which seems a bit much for me but maybe that's just the going price these days. I didn't care for his attitude while he did it. He seemed annoyed the entire time and rushed through it. And I have little black specks on half of my nails. I'm just thankful he didn't mess up my nail shape. Definitely won't be going back. The quality is exceptionally high! He's very friendly. He also takes the time to talk to you while he's doing it. he does it in a very timely manner also but yet it's not rushed! I went with my daughter to get my nails done and her toes done and they took the appointment and then ignored her for a straight HOUR. I have made appointments twice since then and they don't respect their customers time at all. I went in to get a set of acrylics removed. They sat down me right away which was the only upside of the whole experience. After being seated the nail tech started working on me. She clipped my nails where my natural nails met the acrylic. She then proceeded to take a cuticle cutter to separate my nails and the acrylic. Then she PRYED the acrylic off, and half way through removing she told me to tell her if it hurt. It was all a very terrible experience and they damaged my nails really badly. Uneven as far as surface and length. Even spoken about it multiple times and asking for the lady to please fix the error. She didn't listen or understand. My nails are now thick, fat looking, and ugly. Never coming. They all blamed it in the glitter when it wasn't that aspect at all. The surface is very even, not bumpy. She took her sweet time as if we all don't have somewhere to be on a Saturday afternoon. Wasted two hours. Once my pedicure began they didn't ask me which one I wanted nor did she check in with me to see how I was doing. Her massage felt like she was using a feather, I don't mean like it was ticklish more like that's how much pressure she was using. She also didn't ask if I wanted any color or clearcoat. Once I got home I looked at the bottom of my feet and the rest there is still dry skin that she failed to remove. Definitely wouldn't recommend anybody to this salon. read more

I really wanted to like this place. Close to home, looked clean and seemed like a nice place. I did worry when I saw some of the Yelp reviews, but their rating was similar to where I had been going so I thought it would be fine. The pedicure started fine, they got me right in. She started cutting my toenails and she got to my other foot. She used the regular nail clippers. As she was cutting my big toenail, she cut my toe too. It hurt so bad and started bleeding. The technician said she would take care of it and put something on it to make the bleeding stop. When she did that she touched the tip to my skin. Who knows how many other people had been touched with the same applicator? She also squirted rubbing alcohol on the cut and another tech had to tell her to stop. Very painful experience. The tech told me it was my toenail that cut the skin when she was cutting my nail. I told her, "no, you cut my nail." Then she had the audacity to say must have bumped something with my toe and that was why it was bleeding. I got up to leave and went to the front. No apology from the tech or the front counter. They didn't care, nor did they offer a bandage to me for my still bleeding toe. Don't go here. Save yourself from the agony. read more

Place gets very busy and they have a lot of people there to help you so my best advice is make an appointment. They do nails really great and are good to detail! Not to mention price is fair. I got just shellac on my hands no manicure just shellac and they did a phenomenal job. The lady filed my nails before even started painting my nails which I loved! Shellac French Tip only $20! However in the past 4-5 months I've noticed every-time I go, I'm seen by someone different, and each time my pricing has been different. I've gotten the same thing every-time I've gone for the past year. I understood price changes due to covid. However my last 4 visits, same thing, fill, NO DEISGN, and just a simple color change with Gel nail polish typically comes out to $36, because I pay with card, but my last couple of visits it's been a different price every-time. Came here earlier today. Had a full set with shellac and a design i paid 50 which is super reasonable. I always inform my technician that i am one as well and im very picky. She was super lax about it and busted out my set in an hour and some change. The work was impeccable. There all exactly the same size and shape i didnt even need to correct her and painted flawlessy. She capped all my nails and was thorough. Im used to my techs not chatting to much as i typically go to family owned asian salons but tammy chatted politely with me and was actually very charming. 10/10 will be going again.
