Woke up early for a day at the beach. Invited a friend for an early dinner, so while on the beach, I looked for a 5 star restaurant . Sky Bar was perfect a 3 min walk from the beach. We had the most delicious Wagyu burger and the best service ever. Our waitress was a gem, attentive and making sure we were comfortable and relaxed the entire time. Definitely returning soon.

This is a gorgeous rooftop bar and I would highly recommend it, especially towards the late afternoon! First we accidentally went to the top floor, which is where the pool is. That is the view in the first and fourth picture, where you can see the beach on one side, and on the other side is Collins Ave. Absolutely stunning. To get to the bar, you need to go down one level of stairs. My parents and I went around 4pm, and then we watched the sunset. My strawberry mojito was pricey and tasted watered down, however the drinks aren't the star of the show! If you come here, it's really for the view during golden hour. It was so relaxing. Also, if you're not a guest at the hotel, I would suggest bringing a credit card because they didn't have cash handy when we tried to pay with cash.

What an oasis in Surfside!!! We went into the Grand Beach Hotel looking to kill a half hour before dinner. The hotel is apparently being updated for the super bowl so there's some construction, but it's still in full working order. We were guided by a local to a casual bar on the rooftop with a great view. (I'm pretty much a tourist in Surfside, so asking for help really steered us right!). Casual, I don't know. It's gorgeous! White stone, blue and pink pillows on lounge couches, vines over a white pergola. A view to kill for. But you can wear a bathing suit and go barefoot if you like, so I suppose fancy casual works. We took the elevator to the rooftop, where the pool and jacuzzi is, then a staircase down to the 12th floor Sky Bar. We had the place to ourselves. Jevon was at the bar and made expertly crafted cocktails. The Bay Breeze was vodka, pineapple and cranberry. Good and light. The Cranberry Thyme Spritz that i had ordered, with vodka, elderflower, lime, honey and ginger beer, had no cranberry or thyme from what I tasted but it was tasty enough to have two, so I forgive the mismatched name. Must be a typo. As the sunset, rain clouds passed over us, wetting the couches in the center of the lounge, but the bar seats stayed dry, and it was pretty to watch. This was an amazing space, great bar, with great service. I'm Already planing a happy hour outing on a Saturday (Mon-Sat 430-630pm) in the very near future.

Great views for afternoon drinks. Decent service and not ridiculously pricy. Can enjoy a Cigar, kick back and enjoy views.

Great views, and a great happy hour pricing. Would go back again. That's really all there is to it.

We, of course, shared the spinach artichoke dip to start and our server anticipated our request and brought out additional chips and salsa for the table. I then enjoyed the kale salad with the yellowtail which was incredible. The fries with the special fry seasoning were fresh and crispy and paired well with the spicy aioli. My boyfriend loved his crispy chicken sandwich, which he orders every time we go to a Hillstone restaurant. The only not positive thing I have to share is that somehow there was a hair buried in our salt shaker, like mixed in with the salt. When i showed our server, he apologized, but did not do anything to correct the situation. We still had an excellent experience.

In all those years, I have never experienced anything remotely close to what happened here. My friend and I were seated in a booth. We ordered drinks and were preparing to order dinner. At one point, I handed my friend my phone to show him an Instagram video. Not a phone call. Not FaceTime. Not a conversation on speaker. An Instagram video. Before I could even hear the audio myself from across the table, a server who was not even assigned to us appeared and sharply informed us: "No speaker or FaceTime here". The tone was what made it memorable. Not polite. Not professional. Not friendly. The tone you use when somebody has already done something wrong. My friend and I just looked at each other in complete disbelief. We genuinely did not know what had just happened. What made it even stranger was the environment itself. This was not a quiet dining room where a pin could drop. The restaurant was buzzing with conversations, energy, and noise from every direction. In fact, I could barely hear the audio from the video myself. Yet somehow, in less than a second, we found ourselves being corrected by a server who was not even taking care of our table. At that moment, the meal was over before it started. To be clear, our actual server was kind and professional. When I told her we were leaving, she offered to get a manager. I declined. Some experiences are so bizarre that you decide to leave. I paid roughly eleven dollars for a Coke and a sparkling water and walked out. What makes this whole situation such a shame is that the restaurant itself is beautiful. The atmosphere is attractive. I have also heard good things about the food. We were fully prepared to stay, order dinner, and enjoy the evening. Instead, one unnecessary interaction completely changed the experience. A restaurant can have whatever policies it wants. That is not the issue. The issue is how those policies are enforced and how guests are made to feel in the process. Unfortunately, what should have been a pleasant dinner became one of the strangest and most off-putting restaurant experiences I have ever had. And yes, when friends, followers, or anyone asks about Hillstone, this will be the story I remember telling.

This is nothing like Motek or Abbale, not even close. From the very first bite, my taste buds (and my expectations) were blown away. We came as a girls' night out, sharing plates and ordering "just one more dish"... and then another. The Truffle Wild Mushrooms Polenta was incredibly rich and silky, deeply earthy without feeling heavy. The Pappardelle Tomato was perfectly cooked, vibrant, and comforting in the best way. And the Cabbage "cacio e peppe"? Unexpected, bold, and absolutely addictive. The raw fish dishes were also a highlight, beautifully sliced, ultra-fresh, and paired with bright citrus, herbs, and crunch that elevated the fish without overpowering it. The grilled fish was crisp on the outside, tender inside, and plated with a smooth, flavorful puree that tied everything together effortlessly. Beyond the food, the atmosphere is a whole vibe. As the night goes on, the lights dim, the music comes on, and it transforms into the perfect setting for a stylish dinner that slowly turns into a fun night out with friends. Chic, warm, and energetic without feeling forced. I left wishing I had more room to try the entire menu, but happily signed up for their VIP rewards program (available to everyone), which basically guarantees my return. Next time, it's another girls' night at Neya, and we're coming hungry. If you love Mediterranean inspired cuisine done with precision, creativity, and soul, Neya is a must.
