So Wednesday morning when I show up for my appointment they let me sit for 90 minutes before they figure out what had happened. They do not seem to be knowledgeable in how insurance works and how medications get covered. You can tell that by reading some of the comments here that this has gone on for some time. I have had 2-3 instances now in which I leave a voicemail, no return call, and the office claims they were never received. That cannot and should not happen over and over. It is difficult to actually speak to someone at the office and patients are left no choice but to leave a voicemail. It is frustrating and time consuming to for the patient to constantly leave messages without any follow up from the office. The response is typically "our office is really busy." Not the patients problem and our lives are busy too. Most of us don't just sit around waiting to call the dermatologist. We have jobs and lives too, I personally find that to be a poor response to a problem. If the office is "too busy" to respond then either more staff is needed or a different system to address that part of your practice.

I spoke w Jenna-Manager in 2025 and explained my situation and understood my situation and agreed that No credit card would be needed on file. I was seen in 2026 and was not an issue until another visit. I saw the provider and said someone would call me. I spoke to Alyssa-Office Manager and explained situation. She stated she already spoke with Jenna-Practice Manager and I would need to leave credit card on file. They said they are being following the rules now for 2026. Explained I was already seen in early 2026 and nothing was said. She was rude and condescending. I asked to speak with Jenna and she will tell you the same thing. I still requested a call. I then sat in the waiting room for almost 40 minutes before going up to the front desk again to ask when I would be seen - it was then that they let me know they were running way behind schedule. Given that I had to pick my kids up by a certain time, they finally brought me back once I asked about the timing and I was only able to see a provider for a quick visit. My experience with the staff once I was see was great but I will have to reschedule my original appointment for a full body scan another day. Overall a decent medical experience but terrible timing and customer service experience.

The fact he was an hour late didn't start things off well. When he blamed the scheduling team I was a bit confused. No apology. I was lectured on the evils of the sun. During my lecture he looked around the room, rarely looking at me. Was in for a full body skin check...he looked at my arms, chest and legs. I never was asked to stand or get off the table I was sitting on for an exam. He bragged about his own sun protection and various athletic achievements. Since moving to Arizona 7 years ago I have routinely been seeing a dermatologist to guard against skin cancer and other conditions. This was the last time I will go to this office.
