I've been here twice for their IPL treatment. Both times, the staff has been kind and professional, even when I ended up 15 minutes late for an appointment. The first time, they treated me on an IPL machine that targeted brown spots. I noticed the effects right away, with my freckles appearing darker before they eventually came off a week later. During my second appointment, they booked me with a dual IPL machine calibrated towards both reds and browns. This also worked well with my skin. Since I am of asian decent, I am of higher risk of side effects when IPL is not administered properly, so the staff was very careful and considerate. Pain wise, I would rate this treatment a 6/10. Not pleasant, but not traumatic either. Forewarning for those considering IPL to target redness and spider veins: while you might notice a decrease in redness, my aesthetician informed me that this effect is temporary! Eventually the veins will resurface :( Both appointments were quick and easy, and I am very satisfied with the results. side note-- this is definitely a side effect, but I also noticed that the hair on my upper lip was zapped away and never really grew back post-treatment. I had purchased IPL Groupon package $143 for 3 ipl. Everyone there was extremely helpful and on it. I'm horrible with names but my Esthetician explained every step of the way and made sure I was okay during the treatment. She provided post care instructions and what to be aware about. After only 24 hours... The sun spots are still there but it's said to flake off over the next few days. My veins on my face nearly gone. Skin tone and eveneness improved dramatically. I look forward to the next 2 treatments. The process of IPL isn't painful. Keep in mind I'm a HSP and I just found it to be uncomfortable and literally shocking.. that took me a few times to get used to it. (Please Google what IPL is) PROCESS: 1. Put hair cap and goggles on.. 2. Esthetician applies a clear thictk substance, same stuff used during ultrasounds, on to your face. This ensures..there's some extra padding between the laser light 3. She then explained what it'll feel like and what she'll be targeting first. She got all my sunspots and veins. Then forehead area. Though it zaps at one area it hits surrounding areas as well. IPL feels like a bunch of thick rubber bands hitting you. Despite goggles/ eyes closed... Is extremely bright. In the blackness of my eye..all I saw was literally the boom emoji. You guys might chuckle but I'm serious! That emoji and the yellow and orange is what I witnessed. My Esthetician was extremely detailed and also knowledgeable on various skin types/sensitivities. She applied Aloe on my face after it was done. 4. She explains my post care needs and what to avoid. 5. She took me to the front to book my next appointment with additional notes for appointment. Actually I'm writing this in the lobby as we speak while I wait to get a chemical peel. Like many other reviewers, I bought a Groupon for laser hair removal. I started out with a package for a small area (my underarms) and then eventually I bumped up to a large, then a half body laser area. I love Skinsations. I love the team, the atmosphere, the professionalism, and the affordability of the product. Jeronia is the owner and I did my research before buying the Groupon and saw that past clients loved her (before she started her own business). She is super sweet and knowledgeable. When I come in my tech is always Malayka (sp?. She makes me feel comfortable and gets me in and out without me feeling rushed. If information about actual laser hair removal is what you want...well...yes it hurts lol. But it's very temporary. No lasting pain. I TOTALLY think it's worth it. I prob shave my arms 2-3x a year... I am finishing my last session of an 8 session full body laser hair removal. I am so extremely happy. I worked with Dana and Jeronia throughout my sessions and they both gave me such great and friendly service. It can feel awkward being that exposed to a person but they were so sweet and professional, it didn't even bother me. Of course, we all know laser hair removal has pains associated with it... the rubberband-snapping/ice-cube on your skin feeling and the warm, itchy skin you can have afterward, but that was it. I researched a BUNCH of places before deciding on Skinsations; most medspas will have mixed reviews, some that loved their results, some with absolute horror stories... but not Skinsations. It's basically all great experiences and so was mine. I have light skin and dark hair and the results are unbelievable. My skin is also extremely sensitive and reacts poorly to shaving and waxing, always resulting in red bumps and ingrown hairs. I've had almost no issue with those during these treatments and now that the hair doesn't keep growing back and causing skin problems, my skin is actually healing from years of scars. They price matched the groupon price, which got me I believe 8 sessions of laser hair removal. But I'm so unimpressed with how poor my results have been, I have decided to stop after 6. I've seen absolutely no difference in the frequency at which I've had to shave the area I bought the package for and the hair is just as thick as it was when I started. I expressed my concerns at the lack of progress, and they upped the intensity of my treatment, to be fair, they did say it would be more painful and I'd experience more redness, which it was and I did. But still, no change. The only other thing that was kind of annoying was that at my 2nd to last appt, I was treated by a woman who introduced herself as the owner. She was really patient and took her time. So while checking out, I asked to have her again for my next appt, and told no problem. I came in for my last appt and reconfirmed who would be treating me, the owner, who was even at the desk when I came in. I was told yes I would have the same woman as before. But then I was taken back and treated by a woman who NEVER treated me in all of my 6 visits. Once my treatment was done, the front desk was so backed up and I was on my lunch break, so I asked the receptionist if she could just call me to check me out and book my next appt. I never got a call and then covid happened. I've gotten laser at a different business where I got incredible results, which have lasted well over a year. So, compared to here, the difference in the experience and the results have been night and day so I don't plan to come back. Love this place! Always professional and great service. Started with the large area laser package of 8 and realized it was not bad at all and added the small area package of 8 laser treatment. After those treatments, I did another 4. LOL. It is honestly a bit addictive. Planning on doing laser on other areas of the body. They offer way more at this location but I can only give my reviews on the laser treatment. I was seeing the owner of the location for my appointments before Covid but at this current moment I have gone to a couple of the other ladies. Everyone has been excellent. The location is in compliance with Covid stipulations...masks must be worn, you sign a waiver, hand sanitizing, etc. It is very clean and the waiting area is social distanced. They do have specials at times so if you decide to go, inquire. So far, which has been about close to 2 years, never had a bad experience with the location or services. This office offers and range of Great services ! I received a chemical peel before my Prp Microneeding session. Dana my technician was absolutely amazing !! She went over everything before the session and was very honest with telling me the pros and cons of the service I would be receiving before applying two layers of the peel to my skin. She was very educated about the chemical peel that I received. It did burn a little but Dana supplied a tiny fan for me to hold over my face during the process. I can't recommend Jeronia and the entire staff at Skinsations highly enough. I first had laser hair removal with her about three years ago when she was at a different medspa. When she left to open her own studio, I finished out my package with different techs but it was never as effective for some reason. I lost touch with her and went to another spa for laser hair removal on a different area and, sure enough, the hair was only slightly reduced after a full package. They also burned me, but that's another story. When I found out that she had opened a new location minutes from my work, I knew it was on! The spa is beautiful, the staff is sweet and, sure enough, within three sessions, I have less hair than I did after eight at the last place. I don't know if it's the laser or the technique she uses but it's never been as effective anywhere else. I won't make the mistake of going anywhere else for my laser hair removal again. I had an okay experience with the overall technician and treatment , the hair does not grow back and I am satisfied with the comfort of the laser . HOWEVER they are alwayssssssss busy . I was running late and had been trying to call the line for 30 minutes and KEPT getting the busy schedule . When they decided to call me back they informed me it was too late and I needed to reschedule. Unfortunately the times they had did not work for me. I would not book with them off the unprofessionalism and incompetent management alone . It does not cost millions to perhaps open up another telephone line or a chat service if you're "call volume" is high. Too busy trying to handle new intake your existing customers are suffering. I've never had to deal with this type of piss poor business practice so I will warn anyone to seriously consider them. Don't say I didn't warn you. Unpleasant results from my microneedling session face broke out so bad. Unsanitary conditions i had microneedling on a linty comforter with paper covering over it . My needles were not sterile and the session transferred bacteria all over my face. Also the air was not purified very dusty .. I had a session prior to with great results and this session ruined all my progress now I'm back at ground zero. I called in to inform of itchy breakout on Tuesday and was told they could not see me until Friday. I am loving my laser hair removal results from Skinsations! I purchased a package for a small area (underarms) on Groupon for a little over $100 dollars and it came with 8 treatment sessions and 2 touch ups for after the treatments. For years, I have been so insecure about my underarms as my hair is coarse and thick. I'm also an athlete, so the amount of times that I have to wear short sleeves and tanks tops made me shave everyday. I then tried epilating my underarms and the hair growth will just pause for 2 days max. Nothing was working the way I wanted it to, until I came to laser. Jeronia is so sweet and welcoming. Her staff was also the same way. She made me feel 100% comfortable with the whole process. The laser process took less than 5 minutes and the pain is not bad at all. The first session made my hairs so fine and brittle. The second made seemed like all the hairs grew back. I'm down to my 6th session and I feel as if the hairs are becoming non existent and brittle. Don't let the roller coaster ride of the treatment discourage you! Keep going to your sessions. It's about 6 weeks between each session! I have made appointments on behalf of my girlfriend and they know both of us by name and have been super cooperative. They also reply to emails within 24-48 hours, and I expected no response at all. Okay so I used to go to their old location when it was super small but welcoming and very friendly, oh my god how they've upgraded. I moved to California for a couple years and had to switch to a different company for a while and that posh place in Beverly Hills has nothing on Skinsations. The new location is amazing! It's massive and now they offer botox and fillers as well as lashes and waxing. It's super clean and upscale. The best part (besides the results) about Skinsations is probably the customer service.
