Ok, so are some of my five stars tied up in childhood memories? Sure. Sue me. The only time I get skins now is when someone in my SC family does which is getting fewer and fewer. Is this hot dog and chili earthshaking? Probably not but it's my absolute favorite. Order those suckers by the gross. Steamed buns. Boiled dogs. Chili. Mustard. Onions. If you aren't from the upstate, you probably won't understand. My yankee husband doesn't. If you are, you get it. (If you don't, we'll bless your heart.)

If you're in town and looking for a taste of the south you owe to yourself to try a true southern hot dog. Skins dogs are best served up all the way on fresh steamed rolls. My favorite combination is to top the dogs with a side of slaw for a true Carolina Chili Slaw dog.

It's a regular boiled hot dog with regular toppings... that's it. I'm not sure what all the hype is about. You could probably make a better dog at home. The staff was nice and talked with the customers but the food meh. Oh and you can pick a bag of chips and a bottle of soda if you want to. I'm not trying to be mean but you could get the same thing at a gas station. Sorry I'm not a fan.

This really is the only place in the county to get a decent hotdog. Whether you like southern dog,…read moreslaw, dog, or sauerkraut they got it. People are friendly orders come out fast great place to sit outside and enjoy a nice day.

Being able to pay only $4.50 for a kids dog (with bun and condiments if they want), fruit snacks, juice pack/ or water bottle, and a bag of chips of their choice, is pretty great. And really awesome when you need a quick fix on the go. They also have plain hot dogs w no bun, or a corn dog option. I like to get the Covered Hopper w sauerkraut and spicy mustard, and I add ketchup and jalapeños- mm mmm! For only $2.50!! Can't beat it. And the guy gets the Depot Dog for $3.75 covered in chili, cheeses, onions, slaw, mustard and sliced pickle. Amanda, the owner, makes the chili herself! It's a cute, casual spot, with a walk up window, picnic benches w umbrellas, and a grassy area hill that kids can play by the train tracks. They also like to use the cardboard by the recycling to slide down the hill haha fun! There can be a line at lunch time- many on their quick lunch break, but it moves fast, and they make 'em fast. They also have the Special meal which includes 2 dogs w your way, two sides- which can include potato salad or slaw, baked beans, whole pickle, chips, etc. And includes a drink. For $10 something- not bad. We often share this meal and get a water bottle.

It's a simple gas station and convenience store on the outside, selling sodas and beers and apparently, quite a few lottery tickets. There is a kitchen area with posted menus of fried foods and hot dogs. And here I am ordering two bacon fried hot dogs with onions, mustard and chili. Oh, Mylanta. They're not very large but two was plenty. Prepared to order and brought to me at the table, I enjoyed them quite a lot. Delicious and full of flavor, I am expecting some heartburn later. Friendly service in this out of the way spot. But you need to put it "in" your way and get some Dawgs. [Review 19355 overall - 929 in South Carolina - 325 of 2023.]

The place is a lil rough on the outside but it's a gas station/convenience store, so to be a lil expected. You just need to go suck it up n go inside... you'll be glad you did. There are a couple 2-person tables inside to eat and a rough but nice enough his/her restroom (better than some fast-food restaurants I've been in). Overall, I'm glad we went while we were visiting Greenwood, SC. Not sure I'll be back that way again but if I am, I'll stop again. Definitely recommend for any hot dog lovers!!

If I could give this a higher score than 5 stars I would!…read moreOut of every place I've ever reviewed, this has definitely earned the #1 highest rating I could give. Everything about this place was absolutely exceptional. Starting with service! The woman that greeted us when we came in and took our order, is one of the sweetest ladies ever. I just kept telling my husband after each small interaction with her "oh my gosh I just love her". It's an incredibly warm and inviting space, and I wish we lived closer just to be able to experience that alone more often. But lord have mercy, the food? They knocked it out of the park!!! They have a huge menu with all sorts of stuff that you don't see super often. We got the Chicago dog, the BBQ burger, the sweet potato fries, onion rings, and a blackberry shake. Those sweet potato fries will have me dreaming about them until I can make my way back here. There's no amount of praise to do this place justice! All I can say is, if you haven't tried stopping by here for a meal, you absolutely need to!

My mom and I are passing through town and decided we needed some BBQ. I checked my go-to Yelp…read morereviews and found this place just down the road. The inside is super cute and we instantly knew this was going to be a fun place. The young girl at the counter taking our order was super nice and helpful answering our questions. I orders the bbq plate which is 1/2 rack of ribs with pulled pork and cole slaw. Mom got a 1/2 rack of ribs. We really loved the ribs and cole slaw! The pulled pork was not my type as I smoke bbq at home all of the time. I'd try the chicken with ribs the next time. That being said, this place was awesome! If we are ever in the Brevard area, I will definitely be back. Oh! And we both got milkshakes that were top notch! Key Lime and Chocolate Covered Banana! So good!
