We stopped here on the way back from Helen, GA. The food was fine but the service took almost 30 minutes with the drive through. Biggest soda I've ever seen in my life! While we were waiting, I went in to use the restroom around 1:30pm on a Sunday and they were slammed busy! Might've been short staffed but I had to wait a few minutes at the front to let the staff know there was no toilet paper in the restroom. Clean (it's brand new) good menu. Breakfast served 11:00PM to 11:00 AM Great for late nights! Took a good while to get food inside. (No line) The best "fast food" burger I've had. Just got a junior cheeseburger and fries. The hamburger patty is very thin. But ai have found that to be the case everywhere. The meat taste 100% ground beef . No fillers or fat. The cook had a slight "charcoal" flavor but not a strong as Burger King. I like this much better. The fries were hot and skinny and very similar to McDonalds. I'm originally from Texas. So Whataburger is a must at least once when I see one. I now live in Tennessee. We don't have Whataburger This restaurant was very busy. The line was pretty long. The bathroom was ok. Little bit overflowing of the paper towel trash can. But not a big deal. I ordered what I always order. Number 1 with cheese no pickles with extra mayo. I rarely leave a negative review (my first negative review on yelp) but this was one of the worst fast food experiences we've ever had. The food was absolutely terrible. The fries were nearly inedible. I ended up throwing them away. My burger was completely smashed with the veggies off of it. The oil the fries are cooked in should have been changed quite a while ago. The service was no better. Tried to change something on an item on the order before we were done with the order and told they couldn't do that. "I have never seen so many people be so excited to eat a burger." -my grandfather upon seeing the drive-thru line that required actual Lavonia police to direct traffic into it Getting into the drive-thru line was a bit of a challenge that required driving toward Burger King and then making a U-turn, but we made it. The line moved VERY slowly at first, but the worker who took our order at the beginning was really friendly and helpful. Also, being in the drive thru for a long time is just part of the Whataburger experience, I think. Once our order got taken, it felt like the line moved faster. Our three meals were given to us in separate bags, which made keeping each person's order together easier. We all loved our burgers (I will always get the sweet and spicy bacon burger, it's the perfect flavor combination), which were so hot and fresh. The fries were all crispy, and my grandpa loved his chocolate milkshake. They clearly have the food and friendliness part down, so if they can just work on the speed aspect, this will be an excellent Whataburger. read more

The staff are all teens for the most part and have never been shown the value of good work ethics, discipline, or customer service. The kitchen is extremely slow on fulfilling orders and most of the time will get your order wrong. Not good if you have any type of food allergy.
