If you want to know where the locals go, this is it. Booty's has been an institution for as long as…read moreI can remember. The food is served buffet-style and the offerings are Southern home cooking. The star of the show is the fried catfish, which on my recent visit felt like it melted in my mouth. Chicken, country ham tilapia, and Brunswick stew are among other offerings. There are also desserts. My only complaint on our recent visit was that the Brunswick stew was only lukewarm. On the night we visited, there was a bluegrass band for entertainment, but ambiance is sparse. This is a place that you come to eat, not to stare at the walls. Service is friendly, but being a buffet place, there isn't a lot of interaction aside from drinks and refills.

It's a buffet, of mostly fried food, seafood. They had some really great green beans, fried okra, fried shrimp, fried fish, Brunswick stew, and biscuits. There were some other things to try, including a couple of cobblers for dessert. there were some nice young ladies, cleaning off the tables and being active in the dining room, which was nice. They were watching to make sure our drinks were filled. The food was hot and good. I'm not sure if they redid the decorations inside, but they have some old Timey things on the walls, kinda like a country place! You do have to wait in line and go through the buffet, but everybody was courteous. It's definitely worth the money.

We ate here with friends simply because it is accessible by boat from lake Hartwell. The decor in…read morethe place is a bit dated. The view is great. Service was fine too. I have had numerous meals here... blackened salmon, was just fine, the hangar steak on my last visit was some of the best food I ever put in my mouth! I suggest that you come here for the fun of visiting by boat. Don't come expecting a great meal, but be ready to be surprised with something delicious. This place was next door to Nami where you could eat a really good Japanese meal. I used to suggest that Nami was the better choice by far. HOWEVER, Nami has now moved its chef and menu over to the Galley. If you enjoy Sushi , Sashimi and Nigiri I highly recommend it. If your boat lift was built by Earnest Rodgers, who is an excellent human being, (he is retired now). Earnest used to frequent Nami and had a dish named after him, "The Earnest Turbo Bowl". It's not on the menu, but it is worth inquiring about.

Our waitress was amazing. The restaurant is an open floor plan, so it was slightly noisy.. But great ambiance overall!
