Our server did a great job. She made recommendations and even allowed me to try a sample of the cider I was considering. The place was super busy so the food took a bit. No problem because the music was great. I ordered the steak burrito bowl. The steak was kind of skimpy and was cooked to the point of being crunchy. The flavor was decent. My son had a bison burger and enjoyed it. My bestie ordered the green beans as her side and did not care for those. She said they tasted like they came out of a can with no flavoring added. I would come back again. The atmosphere was hopping and it was nice to see so many people out enjoying downtown Hartwell.

Very chill Football is on (6 TVs). Wings are good -Crispy -good size (not jumbo) - average buffalo sauce -ranch sub-par (for all my ranchies out there) Junk yard fries are your average bar food - half portion is more than enough for 2 - beer cheese is a great touch - aside from this pretty lacking in flavor but easy to snack on

We visit the area a couple of times a year and we are looking for somewhere new (for us) to eat. I…read morehad really hoped that I would leave giving rave reviews of this restaurant, but I just can't do it. The property overlooks the Hartwell Marina, and the front porch is adorable with its rocking chairs and windows to the bar. Inside, it's a deliciously divvy atmosphere with mismatched tables and chairs, high and low ones, and barside seating. They offer live music most (all?) nights that they are open. Always a bonus! I started with a craft cocktail of cucumber something but traded it in for a gin and tonic. My husband ordered his ushe of fried shrimp with onion rings and home fried potato chips. He said the shrimp was good and the onion rings and fried chips were as well. He would not eat the hushpuppies. We both found the outer shell to be tasty, but inside a bit tacky and without much flavor. I ordered grilled grouper which I felt came off the heat just a tad early for my taste. It was fresh enough, though. The green beans I ordered were right out of the can, but the mac & cheese was good. It is not grandmas's homemade fare, but if you like pasta and you like gooey cheese, you'll like this. In general, everything just needed some seasoning and a tweak. My husband ordered a chocolate chip cake which was their dessert offering for the day. It was delicious. Our service was pretty good, and I would give them another try.

After googling restaurants we decided to give Knotheads a try. On entering, the live music was pretty loud, but tolerable. We were led to a booth by an older guy and seated somewhat promptly. It didn't look very busy. Our waitress, got our drink order and returned with the waters quickly. We needed a few minutes to look over the menu. We waited 10 minutes before Our waitress came back. I ordered Shrimp and Grits and my husband ordered a hamburger steak. The hamburger steak was a real patted out patty of burger, but dry. No flavor. What the hamburger steak lacked in flavor the shrimp and grits got all the flavor. Not in a good tasting way. My husband tried one bite of my shrimp and grits and said it tasted like he had licked the inside of an old bay seasoning can. Super salty and so much spice. The shrimp was the shrimp you get a ingles in the bags in the frozen section and over cooked. I ate very little and didn't request a go box. Our waitress never came back to check on us after we got our food. Another waitress noticed we might need attention and checked us out at the front. We paid and left. No need to go back. One and done.

My son had the Country Fried Steak and he really liked it as well. We also got the fried pickles which were really good too. Our waitress Ariail was super nice, friendly, and attentive and kept checking on us throughout our meal to see how we were doing. I would highly recommended giving this place a try if you are in the area.

We ordered the queso, it was good, plain white cheese, no spices. The chips were mostly crumbs on both baskets we got. Hubs ordered the 3 a la carte enchiladas (cheese), he states they were good, no complaints. I ordered a combination plate (beef taco, chili relleno & chicken burrito). The taco was very good, beef seasoned well. The chicken burrito was bland/unseasoned and very underwhelming. The 'chili relleno' was not like any relleno I've ever had. There was one tiny strip of poblano in a patty of beef with a slice of American cheese (think Kraft single). It actually tasted good, but was basically a well seasoned burger patty with a teeny strip of ploblano. No breading, no stuffed poblano, no Oaxaca. We are Texans from San Antonio, so we know good Tex-Mex and good authentic Mexican cuisine, this is neither. The strange thing is, it's good, just 'different'.
