Food is delicious and hot. Service is always friendly. For it being a d rice they not much of an ambiance. Definitely great for a quick meal and even better for the late night munchies after a few drinks.

This is probably the worst burger ever bought. I didn't even eat as the burger was crunchy. What a shame. Looked forward to a new place in town.

This place is always on point. Plenty of food for the money and you can get burgers pretty much however you like them. Fries kick ass!

My burger was okay. Extra charge for a tomato that I never received. I think going to Burger King might be a better option.

Best Food for the price anywhere. The Milkshakes are extra thick and you have tons of flavors to choose from.

Having said that, I didn't order a steak after the banana nut chicken caught my eye. This fried chicken breast in a banana nut glaze was delicious and unique. This dish is worth a visit in itself. There was also a good deal in the special menu for two with a selection of entrees for $15 each. Portions were large and everyone enjoyed their selection. Service was fast and friendly, and the ambiance inside the old, Main Street building screams elegance.

My husband and I decided to give this place another try for brunch today. We had been another time…read morefor lunch and the food was ok but service was extremely slow. We were the first people to be seated as the doors opened at 11. We waited once again for awhile before our server approached our table. We each ordered the All American breakfast. I ordered my eggs fried hard and the waitress seemed confused by that. I explained so they were just not runny. I also asked for an english muffin instead of biscuit. She had to go back to check and see if that was ok? She came back and said it would be a $1 upcharge and I said fine. My husband ordered his with eggs over medium, ham and biscuit was fine. We did not see our waitress again for refills or anything. 30 minutes later and after seeing other people's food come out(we were first ones in the restaurant) this meal came out. Eggs were burnt on other side, hashbrowns cold, bacon was premade and cold and my husband got bacon not ham. There was no chance I was eating what came out. 30 minutes and food cold and missing items. My husband asked for manager and explained we were not eating this food and that we really tried to give them a second chance. Will not be returning.

This was not what I was expecting -- in the best way possible. I came here with a friend who had…read morevisited the previous location before they moved, and I can confidently say this experience delivered exactly what I needed. First, let's address the only downside: my burger was slightly overcooked. The server was very kind and attentive, but by the time she came back around to check on us, it felt a little late to send it back. I decided to remove the meat and enjoy the rest of the burger -- and surprisingly, it was still very good. My only hope for next time is that everything comes out cooked exactly as intended. Now for the positives -- because there are plenty. The wait time was excellent. We didn't have to wait for a table, and the food came out in a timely manner. That level of efficiency definitely adds to the overall experience. This restaurant is clearly operating at a high level. The location is great, the atmosphere is welcoming, and everything feels well-managed. You can tell there's pride behind what they're doing. We ordered The Goat Burger with Crispy Buttered Taters and started with the Fried Deviled Eggs. The fried deviled eggs were a standout. They had a salty base with a slight kick of heat, and the pickled onions brought in a sweet, tangy balance that elevated the dish. The salty-sweet combination worked beautifully together. A strong appetizer choice. As for The Goat Burger -- aside from being slightly overcooked -- the flavor was impressive. The patty was well seasoned, and the fried goat cheese paired with bacon created a rich, savory profile that complemented the crispy buttered taters perfectly. Everything worked cohesively on the plate. Even after removing the meat, the toppings and structure still delivered strong flavor. The food was absolutely worth the money. I left feeling full and satisfied without feeling overly heavy, which is always a plus. This is a place I will go back to again and again. I would confidently recommend it to others -- great location, good food, good people, and solid service. They also offer wine and beer for those who want to enjoy a drink with their meal. Overall, a very strong experience. I'm looking forward to coming back -- and next time, I'm hoping everything comes out cooked perfectly.

Came to town for my older daughter's college tour at WCU and looked up foragers on a previous visit…read moreand looked up the reviews so decided to bring the whole family +1 and give it a try. The layout of the restaurant is very homey with the Green velvet love seat by the door in the waiting area. It seems very casual with mostly family's and a few couples at the bar. When we arrived there was a short wait so we walked out to admire the Jackson County Courthouse on the hill across the street. After our brief walk our table was ready. We had my wife, son 2 daughters and the oldest one's boyfriend who goes to WCU. We started with the fried deviled egg and cheesy prosciutto croquettes for an appetizer. Big fan of the tomato jam and croquettes so much that I saved the remaining portion for my Gouda grits. They have a wide variety on the menu so everyone found a meal they would enjoy. My wife got the motherclucker chicken sammich with a salad, my youngest daughter got pasta Alfredo, my son got the Rueben, I ordered the fish tacos with Gouda grits and Karlea and Tristan got a basic burger and fries. Other than being messy, my fish tacos were tasty with the slaw and blueberry composite. My wife liked her chicken sammich even though it was at the edge of her threshold for spicy. Brody enjoyed his Rueben but the seasoned veggies were a bit bland. Forager seems like a Sylva staple that will stay on my shortlist. Cheers!

Otherwise park further behind or across street & short walk over. It's an old converted gas station on the corner. Majority of seating is outside. There's some inside seating & a bar inside. Old gas station style bathrooms outside & around the corner. There's a stage for events. Appears to be pet friendly. Nice view of Main Street with shops, desserts & boutiques. You can watch both people & vehicle traffic. Service is quick, quiet & friendly. Lots of specialty drinks to choose from. Food is really good. The Smokehouse Burger is prepared to order with bacon, fried onion rings, melted cheese, tender, juicy, delicious. The establish was not busy. The tables were sticky and had visible signs of glass rings. For not being busy, it took a considerable amount of time for the food to come out. While my food was very good, the wife had fries that were cold. We were served food without any utensils or napkins. It took 8 minutes for utensils to arrive and one napkin each. We asked for more napkins, which never came. My wife mentioned the cold fries and she was brought another serving of equally cold fries. When we were finished, I asked the server for a couple to go boxes. We received one and had to ask for more; eventually getting one more box. It took an additional 10 minutes to get the check, and another 10 to have it retrieved with the credit card. The neighboring table was also dealing with cold fries.
