Great food and service. I had blackened catfish with candied yams, rice and gravy and creamed corn. My daughter had fried chicken salad. All were superb. I was a little surprised when we walked in. I thought the sign saying to wait outside was a pandemic relic, but they really mean it. The inside is cozy without much room to wait for a table. If it's chilly or wet, come prepared. All in all, a good local place. We'll be back.

    Menus!

Delicious comfort food. We came here for lunch and were not disappointed. I had the roast beef with mashed potatoes, green beans and cabbage, hubby had liver and onions, black eyes peas. Everything tasted fresh and like your southern grandma would have prepared it. Wait staff were friendly and refilled our glasses often. This is a small place and you don't just walk in. Get your name on the list and wait for them to come out and invite you in.

Ask for the honey for that cornbread!

Best food in town! She has daily specials that are like home cooked meals. Very reasonably priced. She also has the best hamburger in town!

Love visiting this place when we are on vacation. Everyone is nice and the service is quick. Don't pass up this hole in the wall restaurant.

Taste like food from your Grandmother's table. Farm fresh vegetables and the steak was great. They do accept credit cards.

The food itself is the quiet star. Each dish arrives as a small masterpiece of balance--flavors layered with intention, textures that surprise without gimmickry. In short, this is one of the very best restaurants I've ever visited--anywhere. It doesn't chase trends or demand attention; it earns it through quiet excellence. If you value food that respects both ingredient and diner, make the reservation. You'll likely find yourself, as I did, already planning the return visit. Highly recommended--worth every moment and mile, and we come from SWFL.

Caffe Rel SALTY! Second experience at this quaint establishment. Our first visit was spectacular!…read moreFood, service, ambiance. However, something was off the second time around. I chose the opal basil dish with scallops. I have celiac, so rice was the base for a gluten free option. My husband had the crawfish with cognac and pasta dish. The descriptions on the menu were very different, however the dishes seemed to have the same base sauce. And boy was it salty!!! My husband adds salt to everything and both dishes were too salty even for his taste. Hoping this was a one off and quality hasn't declined. On a better note, the gingerbread cake was top notch!!

While it is easy enough to find, let GPS take you there as you need to work around a one-way street…read moreto a smaller side street. There is a sign on the front of the building. The restaurant shares space in the building with a package shipping store and they have signs allocating parking for each business. The restaurant does have parking adjacent to the building in front as well as additional parking around the side. There was no specific handicapped space but there is a ramp in the front to the entrance door. Be aware the front door is for entering and the side door for exit only. If you park on the side you will need to walk around to the front to enter. The cashier is on the side near the exit door so the flow through the restaurant is pretty controlled. Also, there is a step down as you exit from the side door so be aware. There is a small waiting area as you walk in. We were greeted as soon as we entered and only waited a couple minutes for a table. All seating is tables and they are spaced well so you do not feel crowded. While the menu is typical for a diner, they also have daily specials written on chalkboards in a couple places around the walls. One interesting thing to note is the menu included not only the "regular" price, but also the discounted cash price. We placed out drink order and then a few minutes later placed the food order. The food did take about 25 minutes to arrive but the coffee never stopped flowing while we were waiting, and the background noise was low so conversation was easy. Even though the dining area was full our servers were very attentive. The eggs, sausage, and biscuits and gravy were exceptional. The eggs were cooked as ordered, the hand-patted sausage was fresh and had a nice crispy outside without being dry inside. The biscuits are homemade and the sausage gravy had noticeable sausage chunks. I did add pepper, but that is a personal preference. The western omelet had all the ingredients folded into the cooked eggs. The ingredients all had a slight char from the grill which really elevated the flavor. The hash browns were typical, nothing special but cooked perfectly. The biscuit holds up to butter and jelly very well. This was an outstanding breakfast. The servers are efficient, the food is wonderful, and the overall experience was refreshing. This is a must stop whenever you are in the area.

I had the BBQ Pork sandwich with FF. The sandwich was big, lots of meat and it was really good. I was going to ask if it was cooked in house but I forgot , but it was good. My partner had breakfast which enjoyed a lot. Over easy eggs looked good, bacon was crispy the hash browns were crispy also. The wait staff were very sweet. Service was fast, refills on tea were offered and they checked on us several times. We liked it and will go back for breakfast. He said the biscuits were very good!! Only breakfast and lunch.
