Everything was wonderful. The food was delicious. Service was impeccable and the atmosphere was excellent. The salad and all the homemade dressings were great. The salad was unlimited with an entree and I could have just sat and eaten it all night. But glad we didn't miss their delicious spaghetti and meatballs. Great food and service. I had blackened catfish with candied yams, rice and gravy and creamed corn. My daughter had fried chicken salad. All were superb. I was a little surprised when we walked in. I thought the sign saying to wait outside was a pandemic relic, but they really mean it. The inside is cozy without much room to wait for a table. If it's chilly or wet, come prepared. Located in a small strip mall on Highlands Rd, it's difficult to miss with their red umbrellas and a few customers waiting outside to be called. The wait is worth it once you are seated inside. Serving the basic food fare, their burgers are considered top notch compared to the typical nationwide chains in town. They are a small restaurant with limited seating but the wait time isn't too long. We were in town for the gem show and Ms Lois is our go to for breakfast and lunch. The staff is absolutely incredible and so is the food. We had lunch every day we were in town at Ms. Lois'. Everything we had was delicious. I highly recommend the fried chicken sandwich. Their sides are all awesome. The coleslaw is one of my favorites. The lemon pie was a special and it was beyond words. Same issue as Gregory. Rude. They announce to the whole restaurant that they can't seat us unless we are all here- and we were all there. When we asked if our girls could order something safely cooked due to nut allergies, they thought we were from outer space. Everybody can't accommodate we realize, but you don't have to respond with mean looks and impatience. However, after tasting the bbq platter for me there could only be one winner. The bbq platter was delish. As was the bbq beans. I would skip the corn bread and get the biscuit. Other than you simply cannot go wrong with the food in this establishment. Plenty of parking. It's small so plan your dining accordingly. Just save yourself and get another breakfast . Whatever you do don't t tefuse anything from the kitchen , they take it so personal the cook come out to your table and chastises you. We arrived in town late, not knowing what restaurants were available or even open. We did not want fast food drive thru either. Checked Yelp and Ms Lois' diner did not disappoint! We had the country cooking comfort food of Meatloaf and 3 vegetables, along with the choice of cornbread or a biscuit. My husband and I had different sides, and both of our meals were delicious. Ever single bite. In fact, we couldn't finish it all. The price was great, too. And our server was extra courteous and had a lovely disposition. I'll be sure to stop by again when in the area. Clean! This little restaurant has always been one of our favorite places when we're visiting my parents. Sadly today's service was less then stellar. Granted we arrived 9:50am to a large breakfast crowd. My wife asked three times for Cream and sweet & low. We were getting ready to leave when she finally came around to take our order. After waiting 45 minutes, the order was wrong. This normally wouldn't be a big issue but I hate mayonnaise, so when ordering I always repeat myself so there are no misunderstandings. We deducted one star for today's service. read more
