Our pool is green 11+ months out of the year. I have to request a clear pool at least a month in advance if I want to use it, and it only stays clean for a day or two before returning to swamp status. Celso takes my pool equipment to "fix" it and then never returns it. I have repeatedly paid him to upgrade the equipment specifically to make the pool easier for him to maintain and the issues just get worse and worse. read more

Beware and avoid hiring Celso Samson for any work. He does not deliver and cannot be trusted. I hired him to do work on my pool and after taking a deposit he has disappeared and fails to return phone calls or emails. Horrible experience. read more

Tets is amazing! For one, he accommodated and worked around my schedule! For two, the price was more than reasonable. And, of course, the main part - he did an excellent job! The pool was sparkling with clean water that was simply inviting to jump in immediately! He was referred by one of my friends and I have to admit I was not disappointed. Excellent job! Highly recommended. Great customer service and high quality job. read more

Skinees Pools - Before pic (top); after pic (bottom) - Pool Cleaners Near Me

First off, do yourself some digging and look at "skinees pools" reviews. They all kinda say the same thing and most are from accounts with less then 10 reviews. hmmm if you ask me they are not from real customers and just paid for. When you don't see any review less then a 5 star, it should make you wonder. Here is my experience with this company..... Called for a quote. Celso, not sure if this was his name (hefty 36 year old Asian American man who wears compression wear clothing) came out fairly quickly. He told me he used to work in finance and that he had a Porsche and a 6 figure salary. Then decided to leave all that and do an unpaid apprentice to become a pool cleaner . Now I'm all cool with that but it just seems odd that you'd need to take on an unpaid apprenticeship for a year to become a pool cleaner (though what do I know, I'm not a pool cleaner). Celso told me he was the ONLY ONE who will be coming to clean my pool and the only time someone else would come is if he was sick. He priced my pool at $80 a month on the phone but after seeing the pool it would be $100 (was ok with that). While he was there I had asked if he could do a leak test. He took a photo of the water line and told me "don't fill the pool until I come back, I'll let you know my findings after I do the 1st service." So I turned off the auto filter so my pump wouldn't fail due to low water in the lines. We parted ways with me hiring him on the spot and him coming back in a few days to do the 1st service. So first day of cleaning rolls around and I was not home when he was there. I get home and notice the pool was cleaner but definitely not clean. I also notice the filter was turned back on (with very little water in the skimmer) I texted Celso and informed him that the skimmers were not emptied. He replied back with "I have a kid with me i was training. Probably forgot to take it out. I'll make sure it's empty next week " (I don't think Celso was even at my property that day and just had some kid do the work for him). I also asked if he checked to see if he felt there was a leak. He ignored that questions and I just filled up my pool because I was fearful of messing up my system. After checking the chemical levels were off and seeing that Celso did not scrub or vacuum the pool, I politely told him I did not want to move forward with him servicing my pool (if you can't even get close the 1st visit, I could only image moving forward). Cut to later that day when my pump went out. Had my neighbors pool guy check the issue and low and behold it was because the pump was turned back on with very low water in the skimmer and burned it out. Reached out to Celso and we went back and forth. Celso had excuse after excuse and basically had no interest in resolving the issue. He did say he would send someone out to see what the issue was. Like I expected, no one showed up. He also turned my pool green. Check out the photos and make your own decision if you want to hire him. read more

He is absolutely the best. Any issue I have he is on top of it before I am. He always finds me the best price possible. He takes better care is me than I do. We have converted to saltwater for new pump with rebates for both. He Did everything top to bottom. I trust him completely. I have been working with him for years. He is always available anytime I need him. He is a vet and I salute him. I have hired him personally and professionally and I couldn't happier. read more

After the Creek Fire, our pool was filled with at least two inches of ash and soot... Celso worked his magic and brought our pool back to clarity within days. Needless to say, we've been happy with his service ever since. He is courteous, budget friendly and even remembers to lock our gate! Thanks Celso & team for your 5 star treatment!!! read more

Skinees Pools - Crystal clear!!! - Pool Cleaners Near Me

Man, Skinees Pools is such an improvement for me. The guys are great, always on time, and have make sure our pool is set and ready to go. I've had two or three bad experiences with pool guys so about 6 months ago I started dealing with the pool myself until I needed to start traveling for work. The filter also got full, and I paid a guy to come out and fix it but apparently he didn't, because the pool kept getting more and more green. Finally, I stumbled upon Skinees Pools, and he told me exactly what was happening a few minutes after showing up, fixed it for a reasonable price, and I hired him to take care of my pool. Everything has worked out great since then (a few months ago). The guys slip in and out unknown to me, the pool always looks great, and he lets me know if anything is up. read more

In January, our last pool man went MIA, leaving us high and dry with a filthy pool after an extremely windy period. We interviewed pool guys who would come, look at the pool, and just leave. They thought we had a swamp and couldn't believe that our pool was so dirty after just a week of wind. Enter Celso and his team. These guys came through on a Saturday and got straight to work. Our pool has never been better. Thanks guys! read more

I hired Celso after considering and interviewing 6 other candidates and have been using for 4 months now. From day one they demonstrated top commitment and provided highest quality of service (compared to other 5 pool service teams I used over the last 25 years). Celso is very responsive, polite and professional - he is always there when you need him. A couple of times they could not access the property (it was my fault) and they came back the same day! After cleaning the pool they would text photos, as a proof. Overall I am happy (but will keep my vigil after reading S.M.W. review). read more

We don't know what happened to these people on the previous reviews but Celso has been great always responding to our texts and emergency calls. If you're gonna ask us we're more than satisfied with his service! We hired Celso based on recommendations by our neighbors, after the fires and ashes were all over the pool and our old pool guy just didn't show up anymore. He immediately responded and showed up on a saturday morning because we had a birthday party  planned for the next day. That was 2 years ago and Celso and his team are reliable ever since! After every service he sends us a picture of the cleaned pool. Communication is honest and clear. He advised and helped us through the entire process with the DWP refund. We noticed he even gives water to the dogs on hot days. We highly reccomend! Thank you so much Celso and team! read more

As an area apartment manager, we have very specific criteria for the certifications of our vendors, the quality of our pool, and a very restrictive cost restraint. Skinees has all the required certs and was able to provide evidence of them shortly after our first phone call with them. They were able to meet our quality requirement by fine tuning their pool service in response to the suggestions we had, based on more frequent use of the pool by tenants. They were also able to implement changes in there own processes to meet the needs of our business process, such as the use of our chemical logs. Skinees was able to meet our cost restraint by providing a very reasonable service based on what we needed, without up-charging like some other companies by proposing unnecessary upgrades. Probably most important, Skinees stands by their work and is responsive to any questions or concerns we have with a same day response time. This makes it possible to address any challenges with the confidence that you have an expert partner on your side. -MH read more

I was in a jam and I needed to get a quote on a pool heater replacement and booster pump replacement. Based on the reviews I read on Yelp I reached out to Celso and man was that the best decision I ever made. He came out to the property the same morning I had called and was able to assess the situation and emailed me an estimate that day. Fast forward to the job. Celso not only did what he had promised but went well above and beyond. Needless to say, he is THE guy to call for any of your pool needs. Being a realtor it is crucial for me to have a good network of people to work with and Celso is the one and only pool specialist that I will be referring my clients to. read more

Skinees Pools saved my pool!!! The last pool guy let algae SEVERELY over grow and stain the pool. So I hired Skinees Pools and Celso was able to get rid of ALL the algae. I asked him to do an acid wash of the pool walls to remove all of the staining and it turned out great! He also told me about a LA county rebate regarding my filtration system. I received a check for $1,0000!! I couldn't beleive it! Then when my pool light went out, he was able to find the right replacement considering this pool was built in the 1940's and the light is placed in a very tricky location in the pool! I can't say enough great things! Celso also keeps my jacuzzi in tip top shape, I can always reach him, and he keeps me updated on whatever is going on with the pool and jacuzzi. THANK YOU CELSO!! read more

Our pool guy stopped coming and after a few days, our pool started turning green. I contacted Celso and he was at our house within a few hours. He rebalanced the chemicals, gave me feedback on which trees to trim, etc...he will be back tomorrow to service the pool. We will be working with him moving forward and look forward to a clean & sparkling pool. Highly recommend! read more

Beware, paid for service and he just stopped showing up without any notice. Some months he would skip a week and not show up. When I would ask him why he didn't show up, he would blame it on his employee. Then when I call him to see why he isn't showing up, he says I don't communicate. What a joke! He still owes me a month of service. read more

So very helpful, explains how to maintain a pool in great detail! Excited to keep my pool in good maintenance.

Celso took over our pool service after I had an unsatisfactory experience with our previous service and made the decision I could do it myself. After determining how much money I would have to spend for the correct pool cleaning equipment and a couple of months on my own with a net, I found out it wasn't as easy as it looked. Celso and his team have been excellent. I always get a text with a picture of the pool after it is cleaned, he keeps the water sparkling clean and his all inclusive price is very reasonable. read more

Tets and Skinees Pools is amazing. Amazing. My pool guy never showed up when I went on vacation. My pool was in HORRIBLE condition and I was panicking. I called 5 places and none could see me for days. I called Skinees and Tets called me back in 10 minutes and was at my house in an hour. My pool looked normal by the end of the day. He cares SO much, he's on time, REASONABLE prices beyond, HONEST. This guy is the best, trust me. I am beyond happy to finally have a fabulous pool service. Again, trustworthy, caring, and exceptional service with reasonable prices. read more

Do yourself a favor and avoid Skinees Pools and Celso at all costs. When Celso was contracted to install a new pump and filter, he subcontracted it without letting us know, and hired a stranger to him to do the work. After the install, when asked and confronted about the LADWP paperwork required to get the refund, the subcontractor disappeared, and Celso kept shifting the blame to him, even though we never hired that person to begin with (and paid everything through Celso). We found what information we could on our own, turned it in with Celso's blessing, and were denied the rebate of close to $1,000 (a large reason for doing it so quickly and with Celso in the first place was that refund). The bad situation turned worse when confronting Celso about it, with him refusing to provide basic information that the LADWP required, things as simple as the filter/pump receipts. I am not sure why this was so difficult, but every time Celso was asked about it, the communication would either stop, or he said he would do it, and NEVER followed through. We were so frustrated with this communication that we asked point blank if we missed the deadline, was he going to cover the $1,000? Realizing that he was never going to provide us the basic information to cover us, he said that he would terminate us as pool cleaning clients, and would send us the 1k check. Well... that was also a lie, and we have never received that check. In the end, decent pool cleaning doesn't make up for terrible communication chalk full of lies. After looking around, we are not the only ones to have dealt with him and feel this way, so you would be doing yourself a favor to look elsewhere. DO NOT HIRE. read more

My old pool guy just stopped showing up and left our pool green and disgusting. I was recommended to Celso and as soon as he learned that it was green he came over right away and treated the water. He came back again 2 days later to check on it and by the end of the weekend we were swimming. He also mentioned about the DWP rebate programs for pumps and we decided to switch it and I only paid $150 for installation and I just got my rebate of $1000. He never skips service. He always sends pictures every week whenever he comes. Price is very reasonable and he responds right away if i have questions. We are thinking of replastering soon and there's nobody else i could think of but Celso" if you need a honest pool service provider, look no further read more

We were looking to replace the previous company that was servicing my moms pool and found Celso thorough a recommendation. The previous company never paid any attention to detail, always tried to up-charge my mom for every little thing. He is always responsive to any of my moms requests. He is very honest and always on time. When certain things need to be done, he is always up front and totally honest about what needs to be done. The Best pool service out. Reliable, knowledgeable, great energy, keeps in touch and lets you know how the pool is doing every service.

I've been a pool owner for many years and maintained the pool myself. After I had the pool pump & filter replaced the pool water just wasn't clear. I took samples of the water to the store that replaced my equipment and they told me the water was good, nothing to do. I mentioned my pool problem to a friend and they recommended Tets at Skinees Pools. He showed up on time and fixed the problem. The pool water is now crystal clear! I very rarely write reviews but i just had a remarkably positive experience with Skinees. We contacted Celso at skinees after getting a recommendation and he was better than we could have even hoped. After going thru a home renovation and a noshow pool cleaner Celso went to see our horribly neglected pool the day we contacted him and went to work saving the water and turning a health hazard into a beautiful sparkling pool. Celso is effective but also communicative. He txts us updates and follow thru. Ive used various pool services in la and skinees is by far the best ive used and the best i have even heard of.
