I needed service as my pool pump was on/off for over 3 weeks and my "regular" repair guy just was unable to figure it all out. Initial assessment was that in the worst-case scenario - I'll need to get a new pump, but he needed to talk with the manufacturer to get to the bottom of it. Unfortunately, because of the end of the year and holiday it took longer than I expected get anywhere - but the response from my guy this week was "I know someone that you should call" and that's how I met Steve and Steve from Steve's Pool and Spa. They were kind enough to fit us in today because they had an opening, and it took about 15 minutes to diagnose the electrical problem and another 15 to fix it. All in all, really a great experience. Big COVID, touchless, High Five to Steve and Steve from Steve's Pool & Spa. Had issues with my Pentair Superflo VS. Error code. Problem between the drive and motor. When I finally got through to Pentair, they dispatched Steve's P&S. Two Steves came out sporting their stylish COVID PPP and jumped all over servicing the prob. One Steve helped me "re-locate" my pool pump circuit breaker (some reason was unmarked in panel!) while the other Steve had the power unit already changed by the time we got back out to the pool pump area. Also, figured out the cause of the power problem and promised to get a prompt quote to fix it. OVER AND BEYOND the service the guys were dispatched for by Pentair, they took time out of their super busy day to check out my filter, do a backwash and give me some advice on what to do asap to garuntee NOT exacerbate green algae problem and also insure the filter is doing its job. Pentair actually informed me that it was corrosion and that they were aware that my model unit was prone to that defect. Really pleased I reached out to Steve's Pool and Spa. Without a doubt the most pleasant experience I've had with pool service companies. Steve and Steve showed up on time for an estimate for refinishing work on my spa but they went WAY above and out of their way to help me. They fixed my pool pump that had stopped working the day prior and replaced the blown capacitor on the spot FREE of charge! He identified the issue and had the pump up and running again in under 5 minutes. Seriously there is not another company out there that would have done that for me as most of them charge a service just to come out and assess a problem. I was really impressed by how experienced these guys are. I mean really intelligent guys, they identify the problem quickly and know the possible fixes and the best part... they don't BS you.
