The last…read morenegative review was 2021, so it looks like Jeff improved has definitely improved his service level. Personally, I was surprised, but I get it that he probably didn't have a big enough pool crew at the time. His current service is excellent. In fact, I came here to write this positive review because I had a problem with my spa. When I text Jeff, he replies. We arranged a time for us to look at the spa. He personally diagnosed and fixed the problem right then and there. Back to his service level, I would give that four stars. We once did have a problem where algae started to appear. So we called/texted (I can't remember which, but when I leave him a voicemail he does respond). Jeff had his crew clean it, and it's fixed. My point is I'm giving Jeff as a business owner five stars. So for less money than other pool cleaners were asking, I know my pool will be clean.

Now our pool and Jacuzzi both have black marks all over and we been told by the other company that we had to pay to come out that we need to or acid wash the pool which will take only 80% of stains or re-plaster the pool which will cost us thousands of dollars. ARE YOU KIDDING ME? WHAT WERE WE PAYING YOU FOR???? This guy/JEFF SEMLER is a CROOK!!! I have his address if anyone needs it as if he doesn't pay us for damages we are going to sew him and so should you.

He took the time to carefully inspect everything- from the pool itself and all of the equipment to the surrounding concrete and explained everything in a way that was easy to understand. His inspection report was incredibly detailed and well organized. What we appreciated most was that he helped us prioritize the repairs, letting us know what should be addressed right away and what could reasonably wait until after we move in. That gave us so much peace of mind and made the whole process feel a lot less overwhelming. Ted was knowledgeable, patient and honest. He also provided pricing for the recommended repairs. Thanks to his expertise, we feel much more confident moving forward with our new home. We highly recommend Beck's Pools and Ted to anyone looking for a trustworthy and thorough pool inspection!

UPDATE to Jainie Y. review…read more Beck's response confirms two things for us. First, their crew removed and reinstalled both light fixtures during the remodel. Two working lights went into their hands. Two damaged lights came back. That is the first time they have acknowledged handling the lights, and it is exactly the window in which both lost the same color. Second, they confirm the pool was redone twice and the spa three times, then list the redos and reimbursements as generosity. Those redos corrected their own installation errors. A pool contractor would know that redoing defective work and repaying costs your own errors created is not a favor. It is the contractor's obligation. But knowing that would require actually doing the construction, which, as Beck confirms, someone else did. And none of it compensated us for the weeks of lost pool use, the broken lights, or the stress of a summer spent as a work site. The reimbursements covered their errors' costs. Nothing covered ours. As for our comment that the pool 'looked great': that was politeness and relief during a stressful process, said while we were still trying to get outstanding issues addressed. It was not an endorsement of flawless work. We are still noticing minor finishing issues, alongside the major defect we have since discovered. Being polite during a difficult project does not mean we were satisfied or that we waived our right to proper workmanship. And the core issue their response avoids remains: 100% of the project was outsourced to an undisclosed, lower-rated subcontractor we never agreed to. Nothing in their response offers any explanation for how two working lights failed identically while in their care.
