We were referred to Cory and True Blue Pools by Jeff Terranova from Terranova Leak Detection - we had met Jeff before when our pool had a leak at the junction where the skimmer joined the pool shell. We were selling the house and Jeff's inspection had confirmed what the buyers' pool inspection had noted - - that there were small queen palm tree roots approaching and intruding into the skimmer. His recommendation was for the flagstones on the deck to be removed, the concrete underneath broken up and the whole skimmer to be exposed and then dug out and replaced. Because we were selling the house, we were concerned about the appearance of the repair for the new buyers - about it being effective into the future - about the cost of it and about the timeframe in which it could be completed because understandably, the buyers wanted the repair to be finished before the sale could close. We didn't want to leave the buyers with any issues with trying to get it repaired on their own either - getting the pool situation sorted out and repaired properly and nicely was huge to us. Cory came out and talked with Tim - Tim explained the situation and Cory was confident that his repair recommendation would solve the issue - and the quote for the work seemed very fair to us considering the extent of the job and everything it entailed. The timeframe to start work was delayed a bit because of extreme rain but ended up being totally workable - and the whole repair was completed in just two days and well ahead of when we had hoped it would be finished. The repair was actually done by Joshua and Rogelio - two guys who knew exactly what to do, who were relentless in making sure it was done right and not just halfway, who cleaned up so nicely when they were finished and who were friendly and easy to talk to when they were explaining issues that they encountered during the repair. They worked nonstop and they absolutely cared about making it solid and good. These guys are pros. Cory was also onsite periodically looking things over on both days they were working. Everything was explained clearly - from when we could start refilling the pool to how long we needed to protect (stay off of) the new grout and concrete between the flagstones - even the assurance that the water would clear up in a day once we started filtering it again . . . and it did - it was crystal clear and looked amazing. There were pictures of the whole process at each step throughout so we could demonstrate to the buyers that it was brand-new skimmer assembly completely surrounded by rebar and concrete. I am sure the buyers were concerned about the quality of the repair and also the way it would look afterward considering that the whole skimmer had to be dug out of the ground. We were concerned too - and it turned out way nicer than we ever could have dreamed. Not only is it a very solid repair - but it's also just a work of art the way Joshua laid the flagstones back in - the pool deck and area surrounding the repair seriously look better afterward than before they started the skimmer replacement. These three guys handled everything so quickly and in such an excellent way - it's really such a relief to us to not only have the repairs done properly and ahead of schedule but also for them to have made it so nice for the new owners before they moved in. A bonus was the great communication, how nice they were to us while they were working and how super clean they left everything afterward. read more

Very happy with True Blue Pools. They clean my pool and check chemicals weekly and are very reliable. The pool is always clean when they leave. They have never missed a week. My husband and I have been loyal clients of True Blue Pools for over 5 years. Cory and his team are really great! Super responsive, always helpful with recommendations and advice, and the weekly pool service maintenance is consistent and reliable - like I could practically set my watch to it. We're about to do a major pool resurfacing job - new mini pebble finish, new tile, new coping, new lighting, etc, and while True Blue doesn't do that kind of work, Cory was incredibly helpful in offering advice on colors, reasonable costs, what to ask for and expect, etc., and True Blue will be handling the startup once we fill it. True Blue was recommended to me by another pool company. Glad I called. I promised my wife I would have the pool heater fixed for Mothers day. Cory came by to see what I needed. I would give zero stars if I could. I just fired Cory. He was great at first then down hill over charging. I have complained before about the guys who work for him not spending more then four minutes in my yard. The never empty my filter skimmer and half the time not the pool skimmer. All they do is net a few leaves. Well we had this conversation a couple of months ago and Cory reassured me that it would not happen again. Well it happened yesterday. And I had to go in for surgery yesterday at noon and today my filter was whining yep they didn't empty the skimmer baskets so I'm out there all stitched up doing it. And when I complain to Cory through text and explain his answer is take another pain pill and calm down. And he makes fun if my belly which he obviously does not know my overly bloated belly has to do with the meds I'm On fighting my disease. How dare he. He should never speak to a customer that especially one that just got out of the hospital. I would have been apologetic and offered to come check on the four skimmers and make sure the kid who has been screwing up didn't screw anything else up!! read more
