Alex was amazing! I was referred to ANC Pool and Spa solutions by my warranty company. He was fast, reliable and did a great job. Highly recommend. 10 out of 10. read more

Alejandro is the best. A consummate professional with unusual engineering knowledge and the practical skill to apply it. He's my go-to guy for all things pool. He has adjusted our water flow, fixed valves, and tuned our panels, and I hate to say it, but he does it all at an incredibly fair price, if not too fair. read more

Alex of ANC Pool and Spa Solutions arrived right on time, diagnosed the problem immediately, and had our pool pump running again within minutes. Don't waste time calling around -- if you want the job done right the first time, ANC Pool and Spa Solutions is the only choice. Thank again Alex!! read more

Alejandro is our go to guy whenever our pool pump is acting up or making any weird noises that are out of the ordinary. He responds right away, shows up when he says he is, and like a good doctor, he is able to diagnose the problem on the spot and always gives us fair estimates, and trustworthy timelines of how long the issue will take to be fixed. He's already fixed our pool pump issues more than a couple of times, and even when shopping around for estimates, his prices are always fair. read more

Skeptical of all contractors sent out from First American Home Warranty. These guys came out, inspected our pool motor and diagnosed the issue. They were able to put in the claim to get approved and I saved me from paying $800 out-of-pocket. When they installed the replacement equipment, he took a look at the rest of the pool and gave us pointers regarding placement of our chlorinator and a few other items. Thank you. read more

Just had Alex come by to fix a leak from our pool equipment. Super nice guy! Very informative and answered all questions I had. I would highly recommend him to anyone that is having issues with their pool equipment. Fortunately our home insurance company sent him and I'm glad they did. Keeping his info for any future issues. read more

We had a real mess with the layout of our pool equipment. The last company elevated two of the pumps onto a metal table which, of course, had nearly rusted through. We reached out to ANC. They reworked our equipment, put it all on ground level and made sure we could move around it safely. They also installed an extra cut off valve that we didn't even know was missing. Both of the workmen were very pleasant, cleaned up everything and were done in a few hours. The cost was sooooooo reasonable, AND, they billed us! How cool is that! We will use them the next time we need pool help. Super great company! read more

I had requested a quote through Yelp. The response time was very quick. He came by the next day to assess the work to be done. Gave me a fair and upfront quote. Came back the next day and completed the work in very little time with very little disruption to my day. He was fair, honest, and easy to work with and the job costs exactly what he quoted so there was nothing but good with this experience read more

Service provided by Alex is really good especially when he is available. He fixed my pool water heater last November '23 and replaced my pool lights as well into LED. Price of service is very competitive. The only reason I gave him 4-Star is last month, I texted him to fix my pool H2O heater again and seems he is very busy. He just visited me to troubleshoot and remove the heater blower since it is rusted (i.e., not operational anymore and possibly obsolete) and no updates, text or call for 2-weeks after that. So, I told him not to work on this project since he doesn't have time and he can't find a heater blower to replace it. Well, I can find it myself online on the same day, so I contact another pool repair guy and he did it in a week. Overall experience working with Alex is just fine. I think if he is not quite busy - he can work with the project, otherwise, you need to follow-up and keep on following up to make sure he will not forget you. Peace :) read more

Alex is a rude and nasty person, I contracted him through AHS set up and appointment between 11:00 -1, he did not message me to say he was on his way so some could be there he arrived, around 11:35 he text me he was there I texted back "my wife will be there in 10 min" and he replied "That is rude. We have an appointment windows and you agreed to it." My wife arrived 5min later from picking our girl's up. He goes in our backyard dose his thing then leave without telling my wife his findings, I attempted to texted and called him several times but he did not pick up or reply, So I called AHS today 6-2-25 only to be told that my services was disapproved be because he stated that : my leak was due to calcium buildup prior to my service contract with AHS. That's not his call, he was pissed because he had to wait an extra 5 min to his incompetence job but yet he still received his $ 125 service charge for nothing. This is shady pool dude practices I would never use or even give them references to anyone. If I could give them less then 1 star I would !!! As for Alex .... well being mean and nasty to you customers will bite you in you ass one day read more

This company and Alex are the best pool technicians my home warranty company has ever assigned me. I wasn't even home when Alex showed up but he was courteous enough to find his way to the pool equipment and fix the problem in no time. I highly value their timeliness, prompt response and resolution and honesty. read more

Alex has responded multiple times to my home for pool repairs. Each time, he has done a great job. He's quick and communicates when parts are needed. Highly recommend them. read more

We had ANC sent to us by our home warranty. At the beginning things went well then the tech was on "vacation" so we had to wait a couple weeks before repairs were completed. We paid out of pocket to replace a leaking light, it was replaced we paid later that day we realized it was not functioning. We called and were told there was no light bulb installed!! We tried reaching out so we could get a new bulb 6 months later no call no replies and our light is still not functioning and they still got paid! read more

I wish all service people were like them. Alex came early, diagnosed problem in 2 min, fixed major leak and helped us identify other issues. Weve had 2 other companies that didnt fix or diagnose properly. They were referred thru home warranty service & once thats cleared well def have them do other work we need. 30 min after repair we got our insurance notification ANC sent them- now that efficiency!Amazing how many pool contractors are just chemical dumpers, pipe butchers & have zero working knowledge of pool/spa systems. Do yourself a favor and have ANC evaluate and repair it will save you big time! Highest recommendation. read more

After my home warranty sent 2 different companies out and replaced parts on my filter and it still didn't work, I found Alex at ANC and he diagnosed and fixed it immediately. I have had him out on 2 different occasions with filter or pump issues and he is professional, courteous, knowledgeable and willing to explain what the issues are. He returns calls and when he was booked, he even asked for pictures to try and help over the phone to get us through the weekend. Don't call anyone else! Alex should be your first and only call. read more

Love you. No leaks, no air gaps, very quiet and I can control with my phone that you set up. Thanks again you're the best. And were cheaper than Leslie's and Macs. I'm a customer for life. read more

Update: Old pool heater was fixed, but since it took 2-3 hours to heat up the spa figured it was time for a new one. Alex helped me choose a new and efficient heater that heats up the spa to desired temperature in less than an hour. New unit is small and crisp, and came with a small rebate. As always Alex is helpful and answered all my questions with great recommendations. HIGHLY recommend. read more

Our pipes warped due to leaving our heater on without pump running. Alex came over quickly to diagnose the problem and then we planned for another day to do all the work. It took him about 1 hour. He definitely knew what he was doing! All the pip cuts were clean and he didn't leave any mess behind. He called to check in the following day to make sure everything was working properly and was extremely professional and kind. Definitely our go to pool repair man. read more

We received feedback about our broken water heater that didn't make much sense to us. We were told there was a problem with the connection to the gas line and so we scheduled the gas company to come out and take a look. The rep said there was nothing wrong with the connection and to have someone else take a look. Meanwhile their feedback led our homeowners insurance to a as reject our claim so we got screwed. It's also really hard to get through to anyone - you have to leave a message and the tech may or may not call you back. I tried to follow up a few times and haven't heard back. read more

Alex is awesome. We have been experiencing cavitation errors on our pool pump for about 8 weeks and our ex-pool maintainer never bothered trying to figure out the root cause. I called Alex up and he was able to pay us a visit and determined that the root cause was a dirty filter within minutes. If you want quick service and a dependable yet knowledgeable experience, call Alex with ANC. His professionalism exceeded our expectations. read more

ANC pool services was dispatched by our home warranty company back in January, they made a minor repair that ended up failing 2 weeks later. I called the warranty company and they had ANC come back recently, and the technician said the heater has failed due to wear and tear, and that he would put in a request for replacement. Then behind my back he submits a report saying the pool heater is not working because the pH was over corrected 1 day prior. He says there's "no chlorine" in the pool but then says the pH is too low. Those are contradictory statements. regardless, if your home warranty is sending out ANC pool and spa then make sure to call the warranty and request another vendor. read more

Alex from ANC got back to me very quickly when I called because our pool pump died. We had a single speed pump and Alex suggested we go to a variable speed pump He told us that LADWP offers a $1000 rebate if you install a variable speed pump. Not only do you save money in operation costs but it's much quieter. They showed up at the time they had scheduled and completed the new installation in about an hour. Alex explained how the pump is programmed. I have to admit the programming for a variable speed pump is far more complex than a single speed but Alex did the programming and hopefully we won't need to change it. Highly recommend ANC. read more

Alex at ANC is awesome. He took care of the issue and fixed our pool pump. This was thru our home warranty and we normally get the run around with the home warranty but Alex gave us a 2 hour window, showed up on time and fixed the issue all in the same visit. In this day and age, it's hard to find a good company with great customer service. I highly recommend. read more

I called ANC Pool and Spa Solutions and spoke with Phil. I explained to him the issue I was having with our pool equipment. I said that I thought it was the pump that was not working/running and that the water in the pool was beginning to change color. He immediately said that he would have one of his workers come over and give us a price. Within two-hours Phil called me back and said that Alex was on his way. Alex arrived within ten minutes. Looked at the pool equipment and determined that it was just the timer that needed to be replaced. Alex replaced it very fast! Phil and Alex were very professional and friendly! Their price was very reasonable! highly recommend ANC Pool and Spa Solutions for all your pool needs! Thank you Phil and Alex!! read more

Alex is the man! Came referred from our homes previous owner. He is the definition of professionalism. Very responsive and knows everything about pool systems. I'd strongly recommend him for pool system maintenance, repair, or installations. He's been here three times. Once to set up our Aqualink system, then to change our filter grids, and again to clean our filter. Definitely recommend him if you need anything pool/ spa related. Thanks! read more

My pool pump was on its way out. I called my home warranty program and ANC was the company that responded. The Tech new immediately what was wrong with the pump. He removed the pump and installed a way better pump with a built in timer. I was told it would take 3-5 days to get my pump back. After hearing the new pump function so quietly I asked how much does that unit cost. He explained how much home warranty would cover and subtracted the difference from the cost of the newer pump and gave me a figure that was a steal. The Tech even gave me time to decide after using the pump for some days. Needless to say it was a no brainer and ANC took care of two issues I had for the price of one. The Tech was extremely professional and courteous. The better quality I liked was his no bullshitting approach with the problem or the solution. read more

Alex came over 2 weeks ago and gave me a quote to re-do my ancient pool equipment. Today he installed everything, and I couldn't be happier. Recently my salt pool chlorinator cell and its cable completely fried and melted on account of an electrical short. I called at least 4-5 pool/spa businesses in SCV and none of them really knew much about the Jandy system or tried to convince me to just bypass it and go old school with liquid and tabs. I finally called Alex at ANC and he actually does a lot of Jandy system installs and repairs. Came the same day, diagnosed the problem, fixed the electrical system, and showed me his price for the replacement part - I did my follow up research and couldn't find it any lower - so you know he's not trying to upsell you or get a huge margin. Alex replaced the old cell with the newer generation, ensured all systems were in working order and got my pool working again. Not only he is extremely responsive, but very courteous, thorough, detail oriented and doesn't try to BS you with upsells or nonsense. I highly recommend Alex for all your pool needs. read more

After having issues with old leaking equipment I had a conundrum, who do I choose to fix my equipment? Do I do it myself or do I hire someone? After doing hours of research on pool equipment online, regarding the cost, I considered the latter. After getting a quote from a neighbor's pool guy I decided to check Yelp to see who would be comparable, and who I would consider hiring. After requesting for quotes I received numerous messages from different companies. A majority of those companies did not want to give me a quote without seeing my setup. I was pleasantly surprised that Alex responded quickly and gave me an up front price of everything installed without even seeing my current equipment in person. He even recommended certain equipment which happened to be the same equipment what I was considering during my research. Alex was very knowledgeable and responded quickly to messages. After I decided to hire him he ordered the equipment and subsequently suggested an install date and time. Alex showed up on time and installed everything and got it working. He even came back the next day and painted all the pipes to make them look nice. The new pool equipment is a night and day difference from my old equipment. Very quiet and efficient. The extra bonus is that Alex completed the paperwork for the warranty and the rebate, and even accepted credit card payment. I highly recommend him for your pool equipment needs. Alex replaced one of my two pumps, the heater, and the filter. See the before and after pictures. read more
