Once upon a time in a land called GeorgeTown, there was an adventure that left me both embarrassed…read moreand starstruck! Before stepping foot into this store, my friend and I devoured a delicious early lunch filled with oysters, shrimp, and all the local favorites. Little did I know, my stomach had its own little plan brewing after lunch. As it really didn't sit well with me and my poor tummy started rumbling like a volcano about to erupt! Thankfully, my friend Nihar needed to buy a winter parka, and lucky for me, Patagonia has a bathroom. It was like the universe was conspiring in my favo, as I quickly rushed up stairs. The bathroom was surprisingly clean and well-stocked with soap and toilet paper. But here's the catch - the acoustics in there were something else! It felt like my stomach's symphony was echoing through the entire store. ! Desperate to drown out the embarrassing sounds, I turned on some tunes and let the water run from the faucet m. But let's face it, you can't hide the truth forever and you've just got to go....After enduring my own personal "bubble guts" concert, I realized there was no air freshener in sight (sorry, staff!) and felt terrible for the next person who would have to endure this bathroom.... I took a deep breath and decided it was time to make a quick exit. As I hurriedly opened the bathroom door, I almost collided with none other than Adam Sandler himself! Yes, you read that right, THE Adam Sandler! My jaw dropped to the floor, and in a panic, I slammed myself back against the bathroom door. As there was no way I was going to let Adam witness the aftermath of my bathroom symphony and I was convinced he'd make a joke about me on his next show! But you know what? I gathered all my courage and casually greeted him with an "oh hey, Adam." and to my surprise, he responded kindly and moved along, saving me from any potential embarrassment. Phew! After escaping the bathroom fiasco, I made my way downstairs to join my friend Jesse, who was stuck on a conference call. Meanwhile, my other friend bombarded the staff with a million questions about their precious parka. I must say, the staff handled it like pros, remaining super friendly and helpful throughout the entire time. They even managed to maintain their professionalism while Adam and his bodyguard roamed around the store and with the growing crowd trying to entire the store to see Adam. All in all, it was a fun and eventful experience, despite my bathroom mishap. But hey, here's a friendly suggestion to the store: maybe invest in some air fresheners? I promise I'll return on my next visit, hoping for a less "aromatic" adventure and good times!.

The edit is solid -- everything from Hermes (yes, I spotted a pair of immaculate riding boots, sadly not my size) to The Row, Prada, Chanel... even some more accessible gems from brands like Mansur Gavriel. I lucked out and found a pair of Prada Monolith loafers that are still available in-store at full price -- except mine were half the cost and looked like they'd maybe been worn once. Maybe. Such a good score, plus I got to support a small business, which always feels better than buying direct from some corporate mega-retailer. And shout out to Julia, who works there -- she was fantastic. Super helpful, super knowledgeable, and when the right shoe went missing (yes, really), she helped me tear the place apart to find it. I had almost given up, but then I spotted a Prada box... and there it was. Victory. All in all: great range, well-curated, and the kind of place where you just might walk out with a designer piece you didn't even know you needed. Definitely one to add to your DC shopping circuit.

Not only was the staff lovely and welcoming - the glass of wine offered was such a nice touch - they were incredibly helpful as well in finding me a gorgeous red Armani dress at a fantastic price. It only gets better! One of the employees (Krista) noticed that there was a small fix that needed to be done on the shoulder. Before I could even blink she had a seamstress in from a local shop, who came and got the dress to repair on their dime. I honestly didn't notice the issue until Krista pointed it out, she's got an eagle eye. Krista was amazing at coordinating the dress pickup a few days later. I couldn't get out of calls from work so she got the dress delivered to me! I cannot get over how amazing they are, and will ALWAYS recommend Ella Rue. Consider me a customer for life!

The store person first said she could only give me a store credit as it exceeded a few days of return policy (due to my travel I was not able to return it within the return policy frame) then I was like okay sure. Then all Of a sudden the girl was being pushed away by this so called "'manager" Amber with a very mean attitude without any apology telling me she can't take it back and that's it. She just hold my receipt and without even listening to me keep stating in a mean way that I can't do anything with that as it exceeded the rerun policy. She doesn't give me a chance to explain that the reason why I want a refund is I'm fully dissatisfied with the quality of item ( align short and cut out shirt ) that has a quality of very cheap clothe. I'm sorry $74 or something for that ugly short that has a quality of $3 clothe made in china you can order from cheap website. Why on earth to put such a price tag if you don't meet the quality ? This problem aside but behavior of Amber was unacceptable towards me and I felt like I would never want to go back to that store again. That also made me dislike lululemon. So many good sport brands! Why to bother ? They have horrible attitude! Poorly trained people who speak differently in each store. One said it's okay to rerun another said it's not. Lululemon has to better educate the managers and store people so that they don't show disrespect to customers. Amber had an attitude that she is a boss of the Lululemon. She forgets that she has to work hard to promote the Lululemon not chasing away the customers. Very disappointing.

I found a hat I wanted locked in a cabinet because it was a pricier item. I saw numerous employees walking around with frowns on their faces and you could tell they did not want to help anyone. I finally found someone that looked halfway happy to be there at work and I asked him if he could open the case for me. He said he was busy, but he would be back. He never returned to help me, but I did see him avoid avoiding me numerous times when he walked back-and-forth to whatever it was, he was supposedly doing. He was definitely avoiding me though. I tried pressing the button on the cabinet and it did not work. I went to a nearby cabinet and pressed that button numerous times and it did seem to be working, but nobody showed up. Somebody walked by that did not seem to be an employee. They were buzzing around the area and I assumed they were a shopper because they made no effort to interact with me even though I was looking for help and I had been standing by that cabinet for at least 10 minutes. I finally saw another employee walking by and I asked them for help and I believe they were a manager because they went over to that person I did not think it was an employee and asked if they could help me. As soon as that manager left the area that employee scolded me for not asking her for help and using the button on the case. Her name was Toya H, according to her name tag and she had a very unfriendly attitude. I was being scolded by an employee for asking a manager for help. I tried to explain to her that I repeatedly pressed that button on the case, and it seemed to be broken, and I even went so far as to press the button on a nearby case and nobody showed up. She basically ignored what I told her. After getting that hat situation taken care of my girlfriend and I eventually made it to the registers with our items we wanted to purchase. There was a fairly long line for that time of day. There were only a few people on register, but there was an employee sitting there at a register using her phone for quite a while and not attempting to help anyone. Not really sure why they were at a register with their light off and playing on their phone, but that's what was happening. The nearby manager didn't seem to care. We got that employee once we got through the line and now she was actually helping people. All she would talk about while helping us was the fact that her 15 minute break was coming up and she couldn't wait to get away. Very unprofessional. We like to hit up these TJ Maxx stores whenever we travel to see what they have in the area that we wouldn't find at home and this is honestly the most unprofessional group of employees have run across any of these stores.
