I LOVED this shop. Actually, not only did I like the lingerie and fetish wear, but I found it decently priced, considering the location. Staff is very supportive and helpful as well. read more

Stopped back in here this past weekend, to nosy around some more and see what else may have been new. Greeted again, immediately by staff who were so wonderful and helpful as last time too! I tried on some items and they provided me with similar items that I may have liked based on the fit. Still many beautiful things in this place. Unfortunately not what I could shove in a carry on for everything that is so pretty. I did end up getting a few items and some new stickers that I converted to magnets. I did ask about shipping and they ship out of state which was perfect. They also have new inventory on hand as of this week (I had left this past Saturday to go back home). The experience and quality is well worth it. read more

This is the only sex shop I ever go to! The staff are very good at making me feel normal, which goes a long way. On my most recent visit a staff member noticed me stretching a KT taped leg and asked if I wanted a chair. The way the shop is takes different body types and needs in stride puts me at ease in a way few places can. read more

Very welcoming and the staff were incredibly knowledgeable! I had a variety of corsets in my sizes and was able to try them out and chose so many gorgeous ones for a great price! 10/10! read more

Love this high-end adult boutique. Lotus blooms offers the best selection of toys, outfits, and other fun items to explore. Big thanks to Bria and Jay for the excellent customer service!! read more

The workers were super kind and professional when helping us select our goods! It was a relaxing environment and I felt incredibly comfortable in the location. I hope to come back here in the future! I feel like the prices were reasonable for the items we purchased. And they had a lot of variety in the products they offer. read more

Finally a store that is more queer inclusive! I feel like I've never been to a store that felt extra dedicated to women/AFAB/femme folks! You could probably find options cheaper online, but if you want to see/feel and get advice, this shop is your spot! The staff members have their pronoun pins and they are amazing and so helpful and offer shame/judgement-free recommendations! Also, they have an extensive sticker selection including work from one of my favs, transpainter (forgot to take pics of those!!!!). Highly recommend! read more

Ok...yes I am giving a review for a shop that specializes in intimate wear. But its worth the drive and the selection is top notch. I love how the staff are gender affirming and are very knowledgeable. They have such a nice selection of lingerie, books, toys, and other items, and I love that they are starting the classes back up! I love that the location is in Old Town, since there are lots of places to walk to. If they do not have a specific item, they will try their best to find it for you or a similar item. I have been an avid customer for over 8 years, worth the money and time. So stop by and take a look! read more

My wife and I dropped in on a lovely winter afternoon, the store was busy and the staff were very attentive and helpful without being too "in your business". The selection was fantastic and we found several skimpy clothing items to add to our closets. They also have the best array of adult toys that I have seen in any store, all quality items. Will definitely return. read more

the best neighbor a christian bookstore could ask for. visions akin to those of agnes blannbekin came upon me as i perused the wares. attentive + excellent customer service read more

Bottomline - go here. It's classy. It's thoughtfully curated. It won't disappoint. I cannot recommend this shop enough. The staff are so professional, informed, and helpful! Products are pricy, but when it comes to the sort of items they specialize in, you will want quality you can trust! The shop also hosts classes - for couples and individuals - that are really great. They aren't pornigraphic, but rather educational. The world could use more thoughtful sex education. In addition to sex education, there's also classes for communication skills (how to talk with a partner about sex or getting out of sexual connection ruts), and practical non-only-sex skills like massage. We took a class on key Swedish massage skills and it's been the best, most relaxing $40 investment we've made as a couple! read more

They have always been one of the best sex shops around and I paid them another visit last week. Everyone is incredibly helpful and they have always made great recommendations for new toys and lubes. This time I was looking for a new cock ring and they nailed it again because this think is awesome! read more

Absolutely adored the service. Very educational--does not feel like a sex shop. Feels like a charming boutique with amazing staff. Very helpful in selecting my corset and teaching my partner how to lace it up properly. We also purchased lovely Lotus Blooms lingerie which my partner loved and a book. You can sIgn up for emails and classes which we were soooo excited to do. Definitely enriched our couple experience--in fact great for a date with an intimate partner. Went home and watched "The Secretary." read more

This place was fantastic! It's non descript from the outside and you need to know what you're looking for but inside is very much a sex positive boutique experience. The selection was unique and exciting. Totally different from anything you find anywhere else. And the staff was friendly and knowledgeable and helpful! It was so much fun! Will definitely be returning! read more

Awesome little store. The staff seems knowledgeable about EVERY product on the shelf. They are always helpful and attentive but leave you to browse if you prefer. We visit every time we are in town. read more

I am so happy I found this inclusive adult boutique. They have a wide array of inclusive sized pieces. They also have very kind staff who can help guide you with any questions you might have. They take safety seriously and still require masks, spray your hands, and offer shipping. read more

Made some purchases and the associates are so friendly and helpful! I won't go anywhere else. I love their selection and they have local small business kinky merch. It's a clean shop and very tasteful. read more

Great shop for all kinds of adult needs. This is an inclusive and woman positive shop. You will feel like a real human person here. Nothing in this shop is objectifying (unless that's what you are into). Lots of toy selections and fun thinks to try on and lots of books and they will guide you but only if you ask for help. So no awkward moments where you just want to browse in peace but the person is kind of following you. I've also taken a super fun and very informative class here before COVID. I'm sure they are being careful. read more

This is a friendly shop with great customer service and a large selection of all sizes. Found a beautiful outfit and can't wait to wear it!

Amazing service. Knowledgeable and they make you feel so comfortable. This is a fabulous group of humans.

I'd give this 10 stars if I could. This place is so welcoming and the staff is so lovely. This was the best experience I've ever had trying on lingerie. They helped me pick out lingerie for my wedding. Alyssa made so many suggestions. I love that they're size inclusive. I'm a 38 G and find it hard to find lingerie that fits. I live in Florida and plan on coming every time I'm in town. Me and my two other friends came in and we all have three very different body types and all of us found something. read more

What an amazing shop!!! Gone are the shady feelings going into a nasty, dirty sex shop. The staff is high-class, well-educated, and remove any embarressment about buying a product. They remove any stigma associated with going into a seedy store. The decor is tasteful, the merchandise is top quality and there is no intimidation. I will visit again when in the D.C. area. read more

The young woman working there this afternoon was absolutely MARVELOUS! She helped a friend and I find an extra attachment for our Kinklab Neon Wand. She helped us to find that as well as fit me for a corset and a waist cincher. She was the perfect amount of helpful without having been overbearing. The selection of higher end toys in the store was excellent as well. Everything from Tantus to Hitachi to Violet Wand to We Vibe. The variety of corsets was also top notch! Lots of colors, fabrics, and styles (over bust, under bust, and waspie varieties). I cannot recommend this store enough to people as it is welcoming, quaint, and clean! read more

Lotus Blooms - Adult Shops Near Me - Alexandria, Virginia

First sex store I've ever been in, and it did not disappoint. All the other sex stores I've looked into going to have just looked so seedy and gross; I'm a shy person and the thought of going into some cold dingy porn superstore grossed me out and embarrassed me. My boyfriend had been to this store once, and when he told me it was on King Street in Old Town Alexandria, I knew it must be decent at least and when I yelped it/looked at the website, it looked very classy and nice inside so we stopped by for a visit recently. The girl working at the front was ridiculously friendly, approachable and made it almost impossible for my awkward shy self to feel awkward and shy in there. She was very attentive and noticed when we seemed to be wondering or needing more information about something and was there right away to help, but gave us space to browse on our own too and wasn't super pushy which I greatly appreciated. The store itself was very nice, beautiful wood floors and decorated tastefully. It's pretty small, but it's packed full of stuff so the size is nice since it doesn't overwhelm you. SO many corsets and various kinds of lingerie, books, a whole wall of more dildos/vibrators/other types of toys than I even knew existed, floggers, crops, canes, paddles, you name it--if you're into kink or BDSM, you should definitely stop by this place! They even have a decent selection of collars. On our way out we noticed a whiteboard with all of their events/classes listed--awesome! Some of the classes look super fun and helpful. I also really loved the emphasis on body positivity/embracing all sexiness regardless of size (lots of books about curvy/big girls and lingerie came in all sizes)--the first title I read when I walked in the door was a book right up front that said something about "Curvy Girl Love" and it made me instantly feel comfortable and not judged, which was my biggest anxiety about coming to a store like this. All in all a lovely little store that we will definitely be coming back to...can't wait til it's time for Christmas shopping :D. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is, the prices are pretty steep...I think they're probably worth it, still the priceyness is definitely noteworthy. read more

I feel bamboozled!! When I went I had such a wonderful experience. I spent $600. Although at the end of my visit I started to get the feeling that one of the head women in charge didn't believe I was going to get anything. Her attitude sort of shifted to treating me like I was going to steal. It didn't feel too good. But that's not my point. I went on fashion nova and shopped their new lingerie collection. Found the exact same 3 piece (bra, panty, garter set) and ordered it out of curiosity. It is the exact same quality and the exact same material. I paid $79 for the panties and bra, and an extra $29 for the garter belt. That's over $100 for the same set that fashion nova sold for $44. I feel extremely bamboozled. I will never patron this establishment again. read more

Fantastic shop! Fantastic staff! I've been to several shops in this area and Lotus Blooms is HANDS DOWN the best. Great products of high quality (I own several). Excellent educational classes. But the best part of all is the staff. They will all make you feel SO COMFORTABLE. They talk about the products in an easy way and will help you find just want you need. They are knowledgeable about bodies and will make you feel great about your own. Clean, educational, fun - and just a wonderful experience. GO TO LOTUS BLOOMS! Suzette Alexandria, VA read more

Everyone from curious singles to adventurous couples are welcome at Lotus Blooms! This shop is *constantly* upping its service game! I recently purchased a holiday gift basket (there were multiple baskets each designed around a theme) that Lotus Bloom's amazing staff put together based on their knowledge in depth knowledge. Since the basket was a gift the LB team walked me through each option helping me make a good choice based on my knowledge of my friend and their interests! This is the only store I've ever shopped in where people have such a passion for health, safety, and education in what they do. It ensures the environment is welcoming and that the products are high quality, safe, and well researched. I cannot recommend it highly enough. read more

I've been to Lotus Blooms a few times over the years but lucky for me my latest temp job had me working just a few streets down. What better way to truly treat yourself then with something from this store! The selection (lingerie, corsets, toys, accessories!) is really great and the store is bright and clean. The employees are always friendly, knowledgeable, and never pushy or judgemental. On my latest visit Aly was extremely helpful with explaining all of the ins and outs (heh heh...) of different products. She explained how they worked, what the products were made of, and different ways to use them on differents parts of the anatomy. The store was a bit busy since it was before a holiday weekend, but both employees in the store seemed to seamlessly flow from one customer to the next, and back if they had any questions. Knowing when to jump in to answer questions and when to step back so the customer can explore or make a purchase decision is a fine art that I think they've perfected at Lotus Blooms! I did end up getting something new to bring home and Aly explained my product had a warranty and if there were any issues I could bring it back to the store and they would take care of the issue directly. This is customer service that goes above and beyond, and why I like shopping in person instead of online. I definitely recommend Lotus Blooms. And if you are not already on their email newsletter I highly recommend that as well so you can be in the know about their classes and sales. read more
