I got chocolate cake with cookies and cream on top and white cake with chocolate fudge on bottom, which was my favorite. I also bought some marble chocolate Bavarian cupcakes, my daughter's friends liked them so much, they asked her in school on Monday if there were any leftover to bring :) The design was AMAZING!! Don't make promises you can not keep. My husband came to Skiffs with a request for 2 edible cake toppers on our wedding cake. He was assured it could be done and was charged $200 extra for said toppers. Our wedding cake was delivered an hour late after having placed 2 phone calls to skiffs! Below are pictures of what Skiffs promised they could create and what we actually received. Make your own judgement. Needless to say, we were very disappointed. That being said, the cake did taste good. If you want an average cake, delivered late, this is your place. I've read good things about this place so I finally gave it a try and got a dozen cupcakes for a friend's birthday. Customer service from beginning to end was beyond my expectations. In fact, after searching and visiting many other cake places, my husband and I were so happily impressed with Steve at Skiffs. We were becoming worried about our wedding cake experience being dull and business like, until we met Steve!! He took such great care of us, and not only made us feel welcome, he made us feel like we were taking him on "our" journey, not ours on "the business", which was really reassuring about the kind of service we'd be getting, and he represents. The cake testing was a good selection of cakes, fillings, and icings that came in a nice to-go box so that we can take it home and taste more. Everything was delicious! I showed Steve a couple pictures of my favorite wedding cakes I had saved to show him the look, feel, and theme I was going for. He totally understood it and showed us a huge selection of pictures of cakes they had done, all beautiful. The thing I really appreciated here too was the customization of the cakes. At first I was unsure about details and asked them to take creative control, but they assured me I'd be happier at least narrowing down fine details, and I'm so glad I did. They really go above and beyond to make sure the cake comes out exactly how you envision it, and make sure that the cake they make is one you'll always smile at when looking back at pictures.
