They had a good variety of styles and several great brands. Expensive, but worth it to have comfortable shoes. I didn't feel pressured or rushed to buy because it was close to closing. The Sock Annex carries all the big brands (at least in my limited knowledge of socks!)... They've got plenty from Stance, a hugely popular brand boasting musicians, athletes, designers, artists, stylists, writers and photographers amongst their "brand ambassadors." I'm a fan of Darn Tough ... Vermont's famed brand that dances between the need for quality fabric (a lot of wool) without losing the color and fun many want in a pair of socks. Then there's K. Bell, one of my personal faves if you want funny foot-coverers. I also love Odd Sox, who I think may have the most movie-themed socks on planet Earth. I've never heard of Living Royal before, but I'm impressed with their selection here at the Sock Annex. A lot are politically-based, including Kennedy, Bernie Sanders, Bill Clinton, George Washington, and the comb-overed red-hair baboon who will not be named. And of course, pop culture abounds: Plenty of Avengers, plenty of Star Wars, plenty of everything. And be sure to go in the back ... clearance! (50% pairs when I visited last). I was also surprised to find a lot footwear, including an excellent selection on Birkenstocks and OluKai flip-flops. I really liked the staff here, and the prices weren't outrageous. I have the most unpleasant in-store experience at DSW today…read more This morning i received an email from DSW and asked my annual DSW perk, and i had to log in to my account and made the selection ($10 dollar reward). I then went to the store in the afternoon and my wife selected a pair of ASICS shoes, which is 5 dollar more than Kohl's, Asics official site. But i think with the annual 10 dollar off, it is still a good deal. I then proceed to check out and i provided my number to the store employee Heather. She told us the final amount is xxx and we told her that we have this annual perk $10. She replied this coupon can only be used on the web or on the app. It doesn't sound like we could use that "perk" in store. So we decided not to buy the shoe. But then i double checked my email, it says i could use the "perk" in store. So i went back to that Heather and asked her if i can apply that perk to the purchase. She said "Yes" and then added "if you guys didn't walk away". WTF. We would not walk away if you asked about " do you have the email with you?". It is you, Heather, that keeps us from making that purchase. DSW should seriously think about customer service training. And with that attitude, even i could use that perk from the email, i have decided not to make the purchase this time and ever again. I will not buy anything from DSW again. Guys, one quick tip, just google the shoe you want to buy while you shoeshop at DSW, and you will find the price is usually not very competitive at DSW. Good luck!

Have a new pair of Sperry top siders with a cracked sole. Michael looked at the shoe and said sit tight for a moment. Less than 5 minutes later he came back with the shoe fixed and said no charge! What?! Who provides this type of service today. I did not know what to say other than thanks and felt wrong that he did not take some money for his work. If you ever go to this store and something doesn't fit you will get no help as it's a dealer discount store meaning they do what they want. We left and called this store to order some boots that liked online that ended up being the wrong size. We were offered the opportunity to return them initially or go to another red wing store. No red wing store had them in stock so we called Orem to ask if we could order the right pair. We were told we would get a call back from Aimee in 30 minutes when she got to work but it ended being 4 days later. To our surprise it was the manager of whom we had never spoken to outside of just seeing him at Orem who called and refused to help. He stated that we knew it was a discount store and that all sales are final. We told him that although they are a discount store, we called in to give Aimee the commission on creating an order for us on a style we viewed online and that they were the wrong size. We told him that we needed to hurry and get a solution to this situation but he refused and started to give us a number for customers care then hung up. We called back and got no answer.Now we are stuck with a pair of boots that don't fit. If you go here and see a guy with a long beard with an attitude. Walk out. This Red Wing franchise doesn't deserve to be associated with such a good boot maker. Update: no thanks to Orem customer care helped and sent the right boots and a return label for the ones that don't fit. To my surprise, the conversation was less than 5 minutes. Orem definitely could've done better, they just chose not to.

Then you have people like me that are in that perennial gray area between a 40R and a 40S, where the short is too short, but the regular is just a tad too long. Where the waist on the pants fits, but the pant legs are too tight or the pockets flare out massively because there is no adjustment made for wider hips. Enter Beckett & Robb. Made to measure from head to toe. I came to know of this place because my classmate's brother is the head guy in the downtown SLC location. Let me tell you this, Tanner knows his stuff. I know my way around a suit fairly well, but what Tanner knows if far and beyond my knowledge. I was a little hesitant at first because I didn't think they'd be able to cut my suit just right, but thankfully I was wrong. I ordered a black suit for a wedding. The price beat what Nordstrom and other retailers were offering for similar suits, but the biggest selling point is that it was designed specifically for me. Once the suit was ready (5-6 weeks later, don't expect a quick turn around time), I went in for a trial fitting where any final adjustments could be made. I sort of freaked out when the pants didn't fit because I thought it couldn't be fixed. I go back a week after alterations and they fit amazing. The suit looks great. The price, in my opinion was very reasonable, and the style of suit I got was something I wasn't able to find anywhere else. Best thing yet, when you're ready for a new suit, they have all your measurements so all you have to do is pick out your fabric and style and you're all set, unless you either gained or lost a lot of weight.
