The WORST customer service I have ever experienced!! Purchased a fridge over the summer, since the…read morebeginning the fridge kept freezing up. I have had them out several times to fix it. Last fix lasted 4 months and it froze up again. At this point I called an independent appliance repair to come look at it and I was told this fridge has a sealed system and this model is known for leaking gas. I was told there is no fix and it will keep needing service calls every 3-6 months as it leaks out. I have been dealing with them since 12/16/24 I left 16 voicemails and 7 text messages. I spoke a few times to a nice young lady who told me the manager would call me back, the manager has yet to speak with me. I got a text on 1/3/25 telling me I could swap the fridge out and I would pay only the difference as long as the fridge at my unit was still in good shape, no dents, broken shelves or scratches which it has none. I took the time to go back to the store on 1/4/25 and picked out another fridge. I was told a tech would go through it and then it would be cleaned and sanitized before delivery. So at this point I think we are good.....wrong!! I spent every day last week calling to see when the fridge would be delivered to then be told I would need to pay $350 for the new fridge, to which I replied, I paid $300.00 for the original fridge so I will come to the store and pay the additional $50. Nope, now they are telling me they won't honor what was previously said in his text thread. I would now have to pay the $350 because the fridge was out of warranty. I then reminded them again that this issue was from day one and they were unable to fix the issue while it was still under warranty.........why would I pay another $350 and trust that this fridge will work? I was told I would get a call back from the manager last Friday to discuss......again, no call. Customer service matters which Nice Choice has not figured that out yet. I am a landlord that deals with 12 units so I'm often in need of some type of appliance. I will never spend another dime at this store!!!! The worst experience I have ever had with a purchase! DO NOT BUY FROM THEM!!! I have also added the text thread where they stated they would swap it out. DO not trust them......if I could have given less than one star I would have!!

Our repair person (not affiliated with A&M) called A&M to find out if they had the brand/size refrigerators available for us to purchase and they did so we went straight there. A&M had refrigerator models ready for us to look at and within minutes, we had our questions answered, we paid for the refrigerator and delivery was scheduled for the SAME DAY at NO ADDITIONAL CHARGE!!!! AND THEY ALSO TOOK AWAY THE OLD REFRIGERATOR AT NO CHARGE TO US!!!! I've never had a better, less stressful purchase of an appliance! Thank you Wayne and Jean!! In case you are wondering, A&M is not like some of the other stores, they do not have a fancy showroom, but they have great products, competitively priced and FREE delivery and FREE removal of your old appliance. You can't beat this! And best part is they don't try to sell you things you don't want. And about the delivery. The two gentlemen came within hours of our purchase to first remove our old refrigerator and then deliver and completely set up our new refrigerator. When they left, all I had to do was put our food back in. They were careful and respectful of our home, making sure they didn't scratch the walls, cabinets or floors. And when the new refrigerator was in, they made sure it was balanced and level and the protective film inside and out was completely removed. I have purchased appliances from others and that is not the case! I've had to do that myself! And before they left, they showed us how everything works. I can't recommend them enough!

    El Patron Appliance

We don't buy our appliances often if we can help it so when i went to look for a new fridge it was…read morea once in teh next ten years type of thing (or at least I hope) however despite that I had a tight budget. I recently had to replace our water heater which flooded the house during vacation, the over oven microwave which kept spinning but didnt heat, and then when we removed it we found the kitchen would need some work too so IKEA cabinets here I come. The fridge was having minor issues with water pressure and filtering it at a normal rate into cups or in the ice maker. SO we had to shut it off and really what good is a fridge when you have 4 kids if it wont provide water? It's really not ideal. They just refuse to fill up the filter jug after they use it and then put it empty back in the fridge leaving the fridge half open as they scan for a rogue bottled water left from someones takeout. SO I went in search of a new fridge. They can be $300 or $10,000. I wanted a $10k fridge for $300 if possible. That is how I found Patron. They sell gently used and recently repaired or brand new fridges from store closing sales. They have a small storefront on a main street in Lawrence which is worth going to since Tripoli Bakery is nearby and they have vegan italian pastry. SO I took teh drive up there to investigate. Originally I was looking for another appliance store nearby but they did not have what I needed and I did a yelp search when I got back into the parking lot. Patron was a few blocks away, Ill try it before the day is a loss (minus pastry). I walked in and the person who worked there was a younger woman, very tall, very nice. She was inundated with phone calls as they also do repairs. She showed me around and helped me measure but a 33in fridge with a separate kid drawer or snack door is like looking for a purple unicorn. They supposedly exist but they aren't anywhere when you go to find them. So she directed me to the warehouse which was a few minutes down the road on Union street by the COVID testing site. If you are not adventurous this probably isn't for you. I was so excited. A HUGE warehouse full of appliances and I could pick whatever I wanted and the owner Diego would discuss it with me. I started snaking through and I came upon so many that I liked but alas they were all 36in. I called my husband and said we are going to need to redo the whole kitchen this time. I am getting a bigger fridge. He was cool with it. I found a 5 door/drawer fridge by Frigidaire that I had seen before and dreamed about. It was a scratch and dent with a fan that needed repair. They could have it ready for me in a few days. They could deliver for a small fee because I was pretty far away (usually its free nearby) and I was sold. $900 for a $4000 fridge. That is right.... 78% off. BTW they have subzeros and basic fridges as well. So many options (say this in the voice of step brothers "so many activities")!!! So I left a deposit the rest would be Cash on Delivery (COD... like 80s commercials that said no CODs for all those toys you had to be 18 to buy). It also came with a warranty 3-6 months depending on the one you buy. Domingo will come out and fix it if there are any problems. Delivery was $50 and included setup/install. I was so excited. Domingo said it'd be Thursday or Friday. I thought that was too good to be true so I explained I was flexible and he could take his time (i shouldn't have said this) but he insisted Thursday or Friday. I called on Thursday to see if they were coming. No dice they would come tomorrow the phone voice informed me. Okay great. Friday came and went and I panicked. I drove there they said they would come Saturday that the fridge deliveries were immense and they couldn't fit it on the truck. OK Saturday 12noon. No worries. Noon comes and goes. I drive back to the warehouse. Domingo is there and explains he just reprioritized because i was so flexible. This is where my attempt at flexibility became miscommunication. SO then they loaded it up in his personal pickup and they drove it to my house and carried it inside, set it up, took their cash and headed home. The experience was overall a good one. The store staff I dealt with was always top notch and amazingly kind. The warehouse crew also was wonderful. The delivery could've gone better but it was an issue I feel like I started so I give them some slack on that. Would I go back in the future YES would I request delivery when I live this far away probably not, local delivery only is probably a better choice. So far the fridge is great and I am really happy with it. We have a 3 month warranty and hopefully I don't ever need it. Tip: always go in person always handle everything in person it will make you feel more confident with an otherwise untraditional appliance purchase. Value is threw the roof! It's worth it.
