Dennis and I are having TV problems. This is SERIOUS as Dennis loves his TV. We have a big HEAVY RCA which sometimes would not turn on or take 20 minutes to turn on. Quite a nuisance and unpredictable appliance, indeed. Dennis and his late mother had uses Dick's TV and Appliance. He said it has been there like 30 plus years and had done a good job. So before our trip, Dennis and I killed ourselves and carried the monstrosity down the stairs and shipped it off to Dick's. 2 days later, they call to say it is ready. Come get it. $120 buckaroos. OK UPDATE: 2 days later and 1 day to vacation departure and the f-in TV has the same problem, this time it does not turn on at all. WTF? Last week now that we are back and settled we garner up the energy to lug the monstrosity back to Dick's. They fix it again (loose connection, they say) and it works. No additional charge the 2nd time around. Yay! Dick's does it again! read more

We bought a clothes dryer from Dick's in 1998. Today it stopped going. I called at around 12:30 pm, the repair guy arrived a little after 2 pm. He had the replacement parts he needed with him, made the necessary repair, and was out the door again within about half an hour. I felt totally comfortable with him in the house, and felt that the repair cost was very reasonable. read more

We just moved here and one of our televisions cable output thingys broke off during the move, they fixed it immediately and only charged us for the standard charge and small part, everyone said it is an old t.v why would you fix it and I said why would I pay $300 for a new one when I can pay $50.00 for a perfectly good one that fits the mounting bracket, besides do we really have to throw everything away :( So if you want to save the planet fix your t.v or appliance go to Dick's T.V. they are terrific!!! read more

DickS TV, The best place to have a TV fix they are Fast and Friendly. We hade a 61 inch tv fix by them, they came ordered the part when it came in they pick up the TV brought it in to there shop fix it and brought it back all in the same day and it works just great Now thats what I called service. Service technician was rude. We called and asked if the did repairs on Kenmore washing machines, they stated they did.We scheduled them to come out and look at our washer (Sears has a 2 week waiting list for service). When the technician arrived he said "Where's the washer?" not hello or anything else for that matter. When he saw the washer he said "I can't fix that, it's a front loader." When my wife asked why he said "I don't have the parts, you will have to call Sears.". Don't you think they should have asked this BEFORE we scheduled service? Thanks for wasting 2 days of our time. When we told him we wouldn't be using them again the technician said "That's fine." and left. Poor service and rude. read more

I called Dick's because I had a leaky dishwasher and I wanted someone to come look at it to give an estimate to fix it. When the repair man got here he did absolutely NOTHING, I repeat, NOTHING except tell my husband that we put too much soap in and that we might fill it too much at times. He did get on his back and change out screws because they were "big screws". My husband asked if that had anything to do with the leak and he said "no, i'll just change them out while i'm down here". Then they had the audacity to charge us almost $70 for a "service call". I called around to places like Gosslin Appliance, Wel-Done Appliance, and G & G Appliance and they were all up front and honest about a charge coming to the house (Wel-Done was the least expensive). Not only were they upfront with me, ALL three locations were able to tell me the exact same thing over the phone that Dick Dube charged me $70 for... Too much soap or we loaded it too much. Small businesses wonder why places like Home Depot, Best Buy and Sears are putting them out of business, There is no competition, Im going big business from now on. And on a side note, when I called to ask about the charges, the "gentleman" on the phone was rude, interrupted me, and spoke over me. I will never again buy an appliance from them nor will I ever call for their so called services. read more

I buy all my appliance's and electronics at Dick's, of course I could go to New Hampshire and probably get it cheaper and pay no tax but if you take into account that if you do and you purchase a lemon you are left to haul it back to the store for refund or to purchase another one, not so with Dick's TV. you get excellent service and they stand by the products they sell. I prefer the peace of mind that I feel knowing that if anything goes wrong Dick's will rectify it. Do your self a favor and go check them out they also have a great repair service. read more

Kudos to Dicks tv & appliances. My wife and I needed a washer right away. We went to 3 other locations. When we got to Dicks, he was a tiny bit more, but without the usual fees that others get you on. No delivery fee, and no removal and take-away fee. I have called Dick's TV for service in the past, and never had an issue. I've even recommended them to friends. Recently though, I had a less than satisfactory experience. The service person that came to deal with my refridgerator leak issue, who came twice to my home, totally missed diagnosing what was a simple defrost drain clog problem. He supposedly was going to return to "get to the bottom of it," but never did. After a period, I had another service agency in, and within three minutes, the tech knew what the problem was (he said that it was basic "Refridgeration 101"). I called Dick's, and asked for a refund for the first service ($85). The owner Dick was fairly curt with me, and said he'd look into it, and that he'd call me back. After a week, I called back, and spoke to someone named Rick. He didn't want to have any conversation about my issue, and said that he'd tell Dick that I called. It's really too bad that I had this negative experience. I now have to let my friend's know about this experience, who I had previously recommended to this service provider. read more

our dryer broke, so we went shopping to price some. we went to all the chain stores around and were making a decision when my brother suggested dick's tv. i thought they just did tv,s but they do appliances, too. we went to dicks and were very surprized at the price, including installation was lower than any others, and they were there the next morning, took away the old one, and hooked it up in no time. very proffessional and clean looking staff, i would recommend then to all. read more
