I live right down the road and have had a pedicure there before that I enjoyed. I went yesterday for my birthday and decided to ask if they could do a gel manicure while I was about to check out. The owner Kim said yes 55 for everything. I had thought she meant with my basic pedicure and was thrilled. So I sat down and she started on my nails and that's where my entire experience went down hill. I didn't have time to look at colors since it was last minute and when we couldn't find the color for the look I wanted, I started searching for other ideas. She seemed irritated that I couldn't choose in 1 minute. Anyway I said I'll just do brown. At that point she immediately says I don't know which brown, I don't have the brown you want you need to go look. I was appalled and the people around us were looking at us. In a hurry I just picked a color. She rushed my entire manicure and a gel manicure with one nail repair and French tip cost me $58!!!! ON MY NATURAL NAILS! Not to mention as I sat there I was looking at the pricing sign and it said a gel manicure was $35. read more

Great place. Best nails I've ever had. They are friendly and fun. We talked and laughed and the time flew by. My nails are beautiful. All of the customers that were regulars were so happy to be there. What a great business to have so close to my home. Highly recommend! read more

Pretty bummed. I received a gift certificate from my mom for my birthday that she paid $100 cash for, as her and her friend are/were reoccurring customers. Because it supposedly was expired by the time I was able to use it as this isn't a convenient place for me (I went with my mom and l was going to treat her to a pedicure), they only gave 50% of the face value. That's not legal to have expirations on gift certificates and they basically pocketed $50 of my moms gift. Sadly I enjoyed this place but that is just bad business. So beware if you have a gift certificate. read more

This is to Kim. Unprofessional and will make you feel uncomfortable. She disrespectfuly discusses her clients right in front of them. Not everything is about $$$. When in business your poor choices will cost more. Her salon can definitely use deep cleaning. Unsanitary and dirty. Your desire for 5 stars is long way to recovery. Best of luck. read more

I love this place! I've never been disappointe. I started going here over 2 years ago. I have since moved to Nampa and am happy to take the commute to get my nails done! Always a fun experience. read more

I was so impressed! Very happy to have SK Nails closer to home. We went in for 2 pedicures just before they were closing. They were very kind and gracious and got us right in! They treated us great! I would recommend SK Nails and I'll definitely be back!!!! read more

I actually wanted to respond to Angie S. earlier review. It's completely one sided and contains false information. I was in Sk Nails today and had my nails done by Kim. I've been coming to this salon since they've opened and have never ever been treated with anything but complete respect and professionalism. Kim is the best I've been too and I've been to many nails salons in Boise. I've also purchased a gift certificate from the salon as a gift for my daughter. It clearly states on the gift card that it expires after six months. If someone tries to use a gift card after a year and half and is allowed to personally belittle theses small business owners on a public forum that is very upsetting. I'm afraid Angie S. Had a Kardashian sized temper tantrum because the business owner couldn't honor an expired gift certificate and decided to publicly humiliate Kim who happens to have an extreme work ethic, simply because she didn't get her way. This place just opened up and it's wonderful! It's a cozy nail salon with lots of different colors and the employees are really nice and friendly. My nails look fantastic. Definitely will be coming back again! read more

If you enjoy your hands being pulled and pushed in a rough manner, and then thrown at you, by all means go. If you enjoy the staff talking about you, mocking you and laughing at you in a language "they think you don't understand", by all means go. If you enjoy listening to an employee being mocked, laughed at and mistreated in a language " they think you don't understand", by all means go. I will not be returning to spend my hard earned money at this "so called" place of business. read more

This place was within walking distance of my house so I decided to walk in one day for a simple manicure. They were fairly busy so I said I could come back later. I arrived back at the set appointment time, but was left to wait for 25 minutes. I haven't had a manicure in a couple of years so I was a little shocked at the price of $25 ($30 with tip). I paid in advance of the service. The manicure itself was just okay, but the girl doing it stopped constantly to get things from the back, or answer the phone, or address a walk in, or ring someone out. Never did she wash her hands after any of these other tasks and that is just a basic hygiene practice IMO. She later began doing three different people at once. A set of acrylics on one person, a removal of acrylics on another, and then my basic manicure that she never completed. She placed me under the nail dryer and said she'd be back in a couple of minutes to apply the top coat. I waited for 10 minutes, and then just got up and walked out the door. The place was visibly not clean and sanitary practices were not followed. Super disappointing experience. I'll be looking for another nail place, or just do it myself as I had previously been doing. read more

Disappointed. I had a pedicure and he cut my skin very badly. I'm in infection-fearful person so that is not acceptable.

Great place! Always get my acrylics done there. Everyone is friendly and nice. They always make time to fit me in for an appt! They've always have done a great job! read more

I believe in second and even third chances with a new business, but three strikes and you're out. The owners are loud and pushy and could learn a more gentle technique. Gel manicure and their pedi's are just "okay". Why start a pedi and then have the tech walk away and wonder if you've been forgotten? Also, drop the chit chat gossip amongst yourselves, it's so unprofessional. Last straw....do NOT charge your customers an extra .60 to use their debit card/credit card to cover your banking fee(s). "Cash Only" gets rewarded with a punch on your punch cards?! It's tacky. Is that extra ridiculous gouging fee worth losing a potential long term customer? And charging a customer for a face mask if they forgot theirs? That's greedy and petty; a sure sign that it's unlikely a business will survive. read more

I was a walk-in and was helped right away. I got a gel polish change and was in and out in about 30 minutes. The quality of my manicure is good, prices are super reasonable, and staff/owners are very friendly. Thanks!! read more

This company will never receive my business or any of my friends and family. They were very rude and unfriendly.

This salon is wonderful. Very welcoming, clean and helpful. It was so relaxing to finally get my nails done. I would definitely recommend. No wait on Monday. read more

Was really hoping to like this place due to location and positive review. Employees were welcoming, appeared to be clean and smelled good. I went in for a pedicure and manicure left with one of the worst pedicures I've ever had. There were three employees working and one other person there. I waited 25 minutes until someone came and started my pedicure. When she did start we was literally throwing my legs in the water, did not remove all my polish and appeared to be in a hurry. She was frequently taking breaks and had someone else finish my pedicure. The second person was nice but didn't do much better. They use dish soap to scrub your feet and barely did that. I left with callus feet that had half of my old nail polish on them for $32 for a basic pedicure that was terrible . Needless to say I decided to not get the same service for a manicure. read more

They are quick and fast will full sets. They last for what feels like forever (4 weeks) and are still looking amazing. They are welcoming and very friendly. Would highly recommend to anyone in the area to check them out! Guys are awesome! read more
