Pretty bummed. I received a gift certificate from my mom for my birthday that she paid $100 cash for, as her and her friend are/were reoccurring customers. Because it supposedly was expired by the time I was able to use it as this isn't a convenient place for me (I went with my mom and l was going to treat her to a pedicure), they only gave 50% of the face value. That's not legal to have expirations on gift certificates and they basically pocketed $50 of my moms gift. Sadly I enjoyed this place but that is just bad business. So beware if you have a gift certificate. read more

I actually wanted to respond to Angie S. earlier review. It's completely one sided and contains false information. I was in Sk Nails today and had my nails done by Kim. I've been coming to this salon since they've opened and have never ever been treated with anything but complete respect and professionalism. Kim is the best I've been too and I've been to many nails salons in Boise. I've also purchased a gift certificate from the salon as a gift for my daughter. It clearly states on the gift card that it expires after six months. If someone tries to use a gift card after a year and half and is allowed to personally belittle theses small business owners on a public forum that is very upsetting. I'm afraid Angie S. Had a Kardashian sized temper tantrum because the business owner couldn't honor an expired gift certificate and decided to publicly humiliate Kim who happens to have an extreme work ethic, simply because she didn't get her way. If you enjoy your hands being pulled and pushed in a rough manner, and then thrown at you, by all means go. If you enjoy the staff talking about you, mocking you and laughing at you in a language "they think you don't understand", by all means go. If you enjoy listening to an employee being mocked, laughed at and mistreated in a language " they think you don't understand", by all means go. This place was within walking distance of my house so I decided to walk in one day for a simple manicure. They were fairly busy so I said I could come back later. I arrived back at the set appointment time, but was left to wait for 25 minutes. I haven't had a manicure in a couple of years so I was a little shocked at the price of $25 ($30 with tip). I paid in advance of the service. The manicure itself was just okay, but the girl doing it stopped constantly to get things from the back, or answer the phone, or address a walk in, or ring someone out. Never did she wash her hands after any of these other tasks and that is just a basic hygiene practice IMO. She later began doing three different people at once. A set of acrylics on one person, a removal of acrylics on another, and then my basic manicure that she never completed. She placed me under the nail dryer and said she'd be back in a couple of minutes to apply the top coat. I waited for 10 minutes, and then just got up and walked out the door. The place was visibly not clean and sanitary practices were not followed. Super disappointing experience. I'll be looking for another nail place, or just do it myself as I had previously been doing. read more

I believe in second and even third chances with a new business, but three strikes and you're out. The owners are loud and pushy and could learn a more gentle technique. Gel manicure and their pedi's are just "okay". Why start a pedi and then have the tech walk away and wonder if you've been forgotten? Also, drop the chit chat gossip amongst yourselves, it's so unprofessional. Last straw....do NOT charge your customers an extra .60 to use their debit card/credit card to cover your banking fee(s). "Cash Only" gets rewarded with a punch on your punch cards?! It's tacky. Is that extra ridiculous gouging fee worth losing a potential long term customer? And charging a customer for a face mask if they forgot theirs? That's greedy and petty; a sure sign that it's unlikely a business will survive. read more

Was really hoping to like this place due to location and positive review. Employees were welcoming, appeared to be clean and smelled good. I went in for a pedicure and manicure left with one of the worst pedicures I've ever had. There were three employees working and one other person there. I waited 25 minutes until someone came and started my pedicure. When she did start we was literally throwing my legs in the water, did not remove all my polish and appeared to be in a hurry. She was frequently taking breaks and had someone else finish my pedicure. The second person was nice but didn't do much better. They use dish soap to scrub your feet and barely did that. I left with callus feet that had half of my old nail polish on them for $32 for a basic pedicure that was terrible . Needless to say I decided to not get the same service for a manicure. read more

They are quick and fast will full sets. They last for what feels like forever (4 weeks) and are still looking amazing. They are welcoming and very friendly. Would highly recommend to anyone in the area to check them out! Guys are awesome! read more
