I've been to multiple places all over the valley over the years. I've never been impressed enough to become a regular at any specific location. Until now. I was a walk-in for a pedi. The gal (older) was gentle but efficient. My heels (cracked skin) are always a mess and typically they are left raw during pedis. Not so during this visit! Lengthy calve and foot rub from the lady, while I also was appreciating sciatic massage from the massage chair. The price was a pleasant surprise! I am now a regular. read more

This place was recommended by my wife's boss. She went and got a pedicure and full set. She was happy with her services. The two star comes in for appointments. She called back after two weeks and tried to make an appointment for the following week. She was told they only have three people who do fills and they were booked all the days she suggested (6 days out) not even trying to keep her business by suggesting days they had open. DO NOT RECOMMEND and would not refer a friend. Booked a GEL manicure which was smooth over the phone. We showed up on time and were immediately approached when we walked in. Sat down with colors in hand to choose from. My technician yanked my arm to get my hand closer, twice (sorry I'm short). I was shocked as I would expect her to ask me to scoot up instead of aggressively yanking on my arm? My daughter's nail table had the previous customer's nail files and nail dust still on the table and the tech brushed it off but didn't use anything to clean the area. My daughter's technician also immediately asked for her color but since they were so quick to seat us we hadn't picked one out yet, which unfortunately seemed to annoy her. Still picking colors and my technician files my nail bed and pushes my DRY cuticles back with her fingernail instead of a sanitized metal tool that I'm used to. I'm also used to soaking my cuticles first as part of the process but this was a new place so I went along. I was told to go wash my hands. The sink and soap bottle were dirty. There was also an option to use a bar of soap...but I think you can imagine the filth of that. My technician then starts applying clear paint and I asked if she would be willing to cut the cuticle since I'm used to that in any other manicure that I've ever had. She told me she did cut my cuticle, that I talk too much and implied I wasn't paying attention. This is false. You can see in the picture my cuticle is still there. When I asked for a natural GEL color that was transparent, my technician said no but my daughter's technician was very helpful in finding 4 colors I could choose from so I picked from those choices. My daughter and I were talking about the cuticle issue and her technician interrupted me to tell me they were saving us $5 by not soaking and doing a full manicure and that if we wanted to pay the full $28 we should have spoken up. This was confusing from a customer standpoint since we requested a GEL manicure on the phone, they quoted $28, they confirmed GEL manicure when they sat us, I asked for her to cut my cuticles, and then didn't do a manicure? At that point, I wanted to be done and out of there because of course they are talking in their language to each other and it really became kind of a hostile situation and very uncomfortable. Within 2 min of finishing my nails, my technician greeted a recurring customer so welcomely and started working on her nails. I think the good reviews are for recurring customers that got past the initial visit? I'm not really sure. After my daughter's nails were done, my daughter's technician took our payment, printed a receipt and instead of waiting until we were done signing, she just walked away leaving us at the front to sign and then....I guess leave the signed receipt on the counter? I totally regret leaving any sort of tip. We are both in the service industry and we were very generous to them! Overall, the technicians were rude, argumentative, not apologetic, and lacked any sort of customer service skills. While they were cheaper than other options, it's not worth it to me for the unprofessionalism, not using sanitized tools, and the dirty conditions. There are many other options to choose from...definitely try H.O.C. Nail Bar and Spa. I love them! read more

I have been here before when it was under different management and it was good. I stopped in today as a walk-in, which is clearly posted that they take and was given ice, rolling and heavy size. When asked if I could get a pedicure they said they could do it now but in the future I need to make an appointment. I volunteered to make an appointment in the future, but they said no they could take me now I then asked if there was time to switch to a full set instead of a pedicure and she said no absolutely not when I asked if I could make an appointment, they said their next available time was in 10 days I didn't give them any specific hour just an opening for an appointment. How do you take walk-ins but don't have an appointment for 10 days? How do you take walk-ins and then treat people like they were doing you a disservice? Will not ever be coming back here and will be sure to let people know not to go to this salon. read more

I just moved to Boise and have visited a few nail places not finding one I really liked. I came here because a friend went and they did such a great job with some amazing nail art. I walked in, they were very busy. They didn't have anything right away but said they would in 45 min. I had the afternoon to myself so I went to get a snack and went back. I realized soon that it's a small staff of 4, at least was that day. They quickly got me to a chair to soak my feet for my pedi. It was a little longer to soak than I usual because they were still pretty busy but it was nice to relax. I feel bad now that I don't know their names. But one of the daughters came over and started my pedicure. She was so sweet. She made great conversation and took special time on my feet, massaging and pampering. I asked for a flower on my big toes and she did such a pretty job! Her sister came and started my shellac manicure while my pedi was finishing. She did a great job evening my nails. I went over to the desk for her to paint them. She did a great job and I asked for a flower design on my thumb and ring finger. She did something I had never seen. It was so cool! She had some flower stencils that she out nail polish on and transferred the design to my fingers. Then filled them in with color. The sisters together finished up my nail art and did such an epic job! I'll definitely be back! I love that it's a family that does nails. Even the regulars that go there are super friendly and sweet. If you want unique and fun nails with a friendly experience, go there!! read more

Pretty good nail salon. Nothing too big to complain about but I don't think their A/C was on so it got a little toasty and there weren't a ton of options for regular polish. I loved their hot towels for my pedicure and they were able to get 3 people in on short notice. Long time customer, however I changed salons due too over charging. I waited longer to have my nails filled then they preferred, so overcharged me for service.
