Friendly staff and good conversations. But, I came for a pedicure and the woman who did my service didn't clip my nails straight. She gave me rounded toe nails. I'm going to have to wait a long time for my nails to grow out so I can keep them straight and nice again. I have no idea why she cut the sides so low. She also didn't clean up my cuticles or even clean up the nails. I had to ask another woman to come and clip my nails and help with an ingrown. The nail wasn't fixed and it still hurts. My nails are not cute and I'm not happy. I'm going to have to go to another salon to get them done right. I pad a lot for the pedicure too so I'm really upset about this poor quality. read more

This place is very cute inside. There's about 4 pedicure chairs and 4 nail chairs. This is a plain pedicure review only. All the ladies were very nice and personable. California Pedicure prices here and although I really appreciated how nice everyone is, I spent $50 for a Pedicure with 15 minutes of massage and I can't give more than 3 Stars. I like that she asked me if I liked the color after she painted a couple nails. She didn't pay attention to detail making sure there was no dings in the polish getting it looking perfect, and my massage wasn't worth extra money :( I also feel like it's pretty gross when they don't put the disposable bags in the foot tub for each client to keep things very hygienic. I rated this place 5 originally but after a week of wanting to cry every time I looked at my HORRIBLE nails I finally decided to update my review. I got a pedi originally and it was decent. Not really five star work but I'm nice. When I first walked in a lady demanded I wash my hands, and when I said I was just getting a pedicure she said she makes everyone do that but then I didn't see anyone else have to. Felt weird. But really Yuki was the biggest problem. She called me to come in an hour before my appointment which is fine but then she was rude right away. She handed me a stack of baskets with nails colors then refused to let me look through them. She cut myself fingers so the bled then blamed the dry air. I told her I wanted short stiletto nails, as short as she could while still being pointed. After hacking my nails extremely short then not even confirming length with me I was worried but thought I'd trust the profess. After she filed two nails down I told her I didn't like the shape and she said I should order better next time. Next time?!? I pulled my hands back and said no, I want them correct THIS time. She snapped "well what do you want me to do?!" So I told her I'd just go somewhere else. She snatched my hand and told me I was "over thinking." She then kept gobbing on more acrylic instead of taking off the mess she already made and still refusing to file them to a point as I wanted. Telling me the entire time how IM The problem and *I* didn't ask for what I wanted properly. I actually DID explain to her in great detail what I wanted but she was too busy yanking and pushing me around to listen I guess. Literally the WORST experience I've ever had getting my nails done. Towards the end she told me what I wanted wasn't "cute." And refused to let me change the polish color even though I had just rushed to pick something and said I didn't want it at the end. Mind you the length in this photo is AFTER she "added length" so imagine how horribly short they were before this. And still in no way pointed. The most rude person ive ever experienced I can't believe she even works with the public. read more

I started coming here for my nails when it first opened and had such a lovely experience, the owner, Mimi, was so kind and did a great job. As they expanded, I would say I'm not so happy with it anymore, mostly with the customer service. The employee I started with was rushed and unfriendly. They have some techniques for pedicures that aren't traditional which felt a bit aggressive for my feet. I actually had to ask for a new employee due to how uncomfortable I was feeling. Thankfully, Hannah, who took over was wonderful. It is quite odd that they don't put liners in the foot spa. They used a towel from the floor on my brothers feet and both. Y mom and brother left with poor pedicures, so much that they will be getting others. I am so bummed out about this. We will not be coming back. read more

Yuki is a gem, and everyone who works here is so nice! I started coming here since February of this year after trying other nail salons in the area and I've been extremely impressed ever since. Yuki is speedy, but efficient. She has an eye for perfection, and I've never gotten a bad set from her. I do acrylic so I'm not familiar with her application of like gel X or anything, but I personally prefer acrylic and she does great with it. I think their prices are on par with every other nail place in the country for a quality nail salon and I've been to nail salons in quite a few states. The cost is worth a good nail tech! read more

I've been going to Sun Nail Spa for almost two years. The salon is meticulously clean, friendly and has reasonable prices. At first I had Lisa, the owner, do my nails but she was busy for my next appt so Yuki did them. They are acrylic nails which are very short. She did an awesome job trimming my cuticles and making my nails just the way I like them. She's fast, but thorough and I'm very pleased with her work. I've been coming to this salon for several months, but I've had repeated issues with infections after getting my nails done. The second time I came in, I developed an infection on one finger. After another fill, I had another infection. Most recently, several of my fingers are now infected, red, swollen, and painful. This has never happened to me at other salons, and I've had my nails done for years. Unfortunately, I believe the recurring infections are due to poor sanitation here, and it has been very difficult and painful to deal with. read more

I gave this place 3 tries. The first time I agreed to try gel x as she said it would be cheaper than dip since I could refill them. They don't post prices of anything! $80 for gel x plus $20 tip. The nail tech at the end placed one of the nail tips on completely crooked and it looked ridiculous. I mentioned this to her and she tried to tell me my nail bed was crooked. It was very unprofessional and I should have taken a picture and posted it. She did not fix it. Funny that for the 40 years I've had nails they have never been crooked nor has any nail tech told me my nail-bed was crooked. The gel x nails are supposed to stay on 3-4 weeks. Within days they were popping off which I called and they agreed to fix. I felt bad so I tipped another $10. So overall $110 for the set. Moving on my nails at two weeks weren't looking great so decided to go back and get the fill that was supposed to make financial sense as you can't fill dip power. Rushed job, she noticed that one of the nails the gel was uneven and said something under breath about it and just sent me away. The fill was $60 plus another $15 tip. $75 fill! Which I was blown away by. I would like to note at this appointment apparently my anatomy changed and my nail-bed is no longer crooked. I came in a third time and decided not to fill the gel x again and just go with hard gel. I'm one week out and my nails are chipping. Each time I went in both techs told me they missed their lunch which made me feel bad and like I was an inconvenience. So I'm not sure if whoever is running the place is giving anyone breaks or not? Third times a charm and unfortunately I will not be returning. I agree with the person who posted before and believe this place is all about numbers and not quality. They also request you pay in cash if you want to use their punch cards otherwise you can't use the punch card. My advice to this business is to open honest and clear about your prices and give your employees breaks. read more

I would not recommend this place. My wife and I made an appointment for last Friday morning. We were able to get in which was great. However, the service I received was sub par. The young lady who was doing my pedicure was in a huge rush. She spent the majority of the time on the phone, walking to the appointment book and then talking to other people in the salon. My wife had the same pedicure and the guy never left. He was there the entire time. He actually did a great job for my wife. When I got home my pinky toe nail was still digging into the toe next to it. Complete waste of money and time. Bummer read more

One of the worst nail salons I've ever been to. They care more about quantities than quality. I just moved here and am looking for a a new place to get pedicures regularly and this is not it. I went in for a pedicure and was highly disappointed. I had an appointment at 2:15 for a DELUXE pedicure (so it wasn't cheap). After waiting a bit they moved me to a chair to enjoy a massage and soak my feet, first thing I noticed is the lack of sanitariness. No lining on the pedicure bowels, when I watched them "clean a bowl" they didn't spray it to clean it in between use or anything. They just remove the dirty towels. While I wait for someone who can do my pedicure. A little girl came in shortly after for a manicure for her birthday. She was just getting regular polish so she asked if she can quickly do her then come and tend to me. I was totally okay with that and understood completely. I am not in a rush so it wasn't an issue. I just put in my headphones and scrolled on my phone. After sometime has went by she then come back and started my toes, cutting them way too short and rushing through the nail prep work. Then after about 10 minutes another person came in for a full set removal and full set replacement. She then got up and sat her down and started prepping her nails leaving me again. She came back to me and painted my nails and then continued to go back and forth between me and the manicure she was doing. All she did was rub lotion on me and put my foot in wax with a "warm" towel and went right back to the manicure she was doing. Then came back rubbed my leg with the cold towel and asked for the payment. THAT FOR A DELUXE PEDICURE. THATS RIDICULOUS. I was there over an hour and I didn't even get a half an hour of service. I don't care what my toes look like in the end, that's just a plus! I care about the service I received, the massage, the opportunity to relax. I didn't get to relax and enjoy the massage I was paying for. Highly disappointed and wouldn't go back. Not worth the price at all! A total waste of not only money but time! read more

What an amazing nail salon!!!!!! It was my first time and I was blown away by the attention to detail I received for my pedicure. I believe it was Anna (sorry if I got that wrong) who did my pedicure and she is amazing. She is so detailed and soft and used an electric callus remover which I had never experienced before and my feet are the softest they have ever been. She polished with such precision it looks so good. The salon itself is so clean and new and I love all of the plants and spa music playing. The chairs were perfect and I beleive I fell asleep at one point. What a treat to finally find the perfect nail salon. After trying three different nail salons, I finally came across the Sun Nail Spa, which I like. It's a small place with a comfy atmosphere and professional services. I really appreciate Yuki and how she does my refills! Not only do my acrylic nails look good, but they also stay longer than usual. High price is the only reason why I am giving them 4 stars. The first time I visited them, I was charged $65. Together with a $10 tip, I paid $75, which is a lot for any refill! My second visit cost me $47 + $10 tip. Anyway, I am pretty happy with my nails, so I am planning to stay with them. read more
