THIS is in relation to TAKE-OUT - they need to fix. Last night I ordered take out which I have done a number of times. It gave me a time for pick up. When I got there they told me a few more minutes. I waited, and then went back in and they told me it would be another 45 minutes!! No real reason, so I canceled the order. My only suggestion is shut down take out if you cannot handle the business. I understand many restaurants are short staffed, you just need to understand your limits as to not disappoint previous happy customers. Guess, if I want to enjoy your delicious food I will need to eat-in and not-take out. read more

Atmosphere/service: slightly hot in the restaurant, also was a little awkward with no music playing but there were speakers visible on the walls, host and waitress were extremely friendly but we were also never asked if we wanted desert at the end Food: the food was FANTASTIC and you CANNOT beat the prices!! Update on my review from last week; since then, I've been back for dinner on a Saturday with my brother-in-law and again for lunch on Sunday with my wife. Even though we loved our dishes from last week (2 different bibimbaps), we tried completely different appetizers and entrees this time: sizzling kitchen rolls (w/ teriyaki beef), coconut spring rolls w/ chicken, honey sriracha chicken tenders, bibimbap w/ tofu, pad thai w/ chicken, teriyaki beef w/ brown rice, shaken chicken w/ brown rice. Again, each and every dish was outstanding - but my personal favorite was the teriyaki beef - which was crunchy with sesame seeds & a light crust on the outside, on a bed of thinly sliced white onions and green onions & cilantro on top. Very large serving size, as well. My wife wants to come back and try some of the Italian dishes, and wants to bring some of her friends as well. The chef/owner was as friendly and engaging as before - he even remembered that my brother-in-law wanted gluten-free options from the previous week! We'll definitely be back! read more

Sizzling Kitchen is probably our favorite restaurant in Lowell, and for a while we were getting takeout from here almost on a weekly basis. With its humble beginnings in a small space next to a row of abandoned store fronts, it's an example of how a restaurant can succeed and thrive when it focuses on freshness and consistency. This is what every Lowell restaurant should aspire to. Now it's in a bigger spot further down Merrimack Street with a dedicated parking lot, and has the possibility of opening a small lounge. A true hidden-gem located towards the outskirts of downtown Lowell! The star dish of this place is definitely their special short-rib pho. It falls right off the bone and just melts in your mouth while the broth is so flavorful. It's a great combination but a reasonable price of $13 for an XL (it's the only size). Definitely one of the best bowls of pho I've had in Lowell. Their sizzling dry chicken is also very delicious with a good mix of flavors without it being too much or overwhelming. It literally comes served to you sizzling on a hot plate! Hopefully they keep the short rib pho as a permanent item on the menu because it's definitely a hit for me! read more

So from the getgo you can tell this place is not your average Asian kitchen. They've got Muscles and Cannolis. Anyways, I've been craving Bibimbap for DAYS man. To clarify, I've never actually had Bibimbap. I found this place on Yelp and the food porn was just overwhelming so I knew I had to try it. The experience was AMAZING. I can't even explain what it's like to consume something with such passion. All I can say is you MUST try it. Pro tip, they have teriyaki if you don't like the spicy sauce (which is to die for if you can tolerate it) or they have brown sauce in an unlabeled bottle on the tables. Definitely a hidden gem. A small restaurant but the food was fantastic. Every dishes we ordered had an interesting take on it. The chef was communicating his visions through food. It was very interesting. Traditional Vietnamese spring roll is not crispy, the chef put a crispy shrimp inside a spring roll, the rice paper was still soft, the play with softness and crunchiness of a spring roll was interesting and playful. I loved it. For shrimp scampi, the chef put basil, green scallion and a lot of garlic in it. The herbs gave complexity and subtle aroma to the dish which brought a traditional Italian dish to a different level. The shrimp scampi was better than many Italian restaurants. Sizzling shaken beef-korean with a lot of onions and sizzling teriyaki beef with a lot of green scallions, both were vey delicious. Lastly, we ordered cannoli as dessert. It was good but I had better. So I would skip it next time. When we were about to leave, the chef came out. I thanked him for the delicious meal and he recommended spicy shrimp scampi to me. Found this place and was very skeptical about it. Ordered Bibimpab which was great and flat noodles. Flat noodles were ok, not Asian though and not spicy at all but ok for non-Asians. Bibimpab was delicious but they charge extra for kimchi. Guys, add kimchi in bibimpab, it should be there it is a Korean meal (!!!). Suggestion: consider to add garlic, cilantro and cilantro sauce. It will give your bibimpab more character. Overall, I like this place. Delicious comparing to other Asian restaurants around. Will definitely come back to try new meals in their menu. read more

Outstanding Bibimbap! The raw egg cooks itself in the hot stone creating the perfect texture, the gochujang sauce is wonderful, the bowl includes a lovely assortment of veggies, mushrooms, and nori, and all the staff are cordial. I challenge you to find a better hot stone bowl in New England. read more

If you haven't been here yet, you're missing out. Take a date to this sweet little gem of an Asian/Italian double duty restaurant and bakery. One of the owners and chefs was trained in Italian cuisine so the Italian fare is surprisingly tasty for a place that also makes the most amazing Asian-style dry-fried fish and chicken you will ever have in your life. My husband and I joke that we're sad we found this place because now we won't waste another kid-free date night on any other restaurant. We usually get the dry-friend fish or chicken, which comes out sizzling (for real) on a little cast iron skillet with perfect, fragrant rice and is such a huge portion that we always take some home for lunch the next day. You are going to want to order a shake to go with your meal if you order one of their "sizzling" items, because they are dangerously spicy in the best way and the fruit shakes are the perfect thing to go with the food. My favorite thing about this place is that it's super unpretentious. The owners and the staff are so wonderful; every time we're in they take the time to chat, catch up, and ask us how the food was. Atmosphere: Very lit and modern looking, with displays of art donated by the local artists of the community. Great music that I can vibe to, like going down memory lane haha! Service: Great service. The owner himself took our order. He was very pleasant to deal with throughout and would check up on us to see if we liked what we all ordered, and that was nice. Food: I ordered an extra large special pho noodle soup-awesome with homemade beef balls, flank steak, and tripe! My friends ordered a bibimbap and the sizzling dry chicken and they both enjoyed it! Had the green tea; chocolate; and red velvet macarons and they were delicious-not too sweet and crunchy enough-all homemade. Price: I don't remember the prices but it certainly wasn't expensive. You're going to have to check this restaurant for yourself to know the prices :) Conclusion: I'm a big advocate for supporting local small businesses and this restaurant has my approval. I have been here twice with my boyfriend. We came in in search of a good BibimBap that's less expensive than our usual Korean spot. The first time, we really enjoyed it. Our rice got nice and crispy and we left satisfied. The second time wasnt as good. Rice was too wet and didnt crisp. We also realized we don't like the special sauce that come with the dish as much as other restaurants. The flavor is off. However, the service is great! Everyone is kind and helpful. Food preparation is quick and you can't beat the price. Note that they have recently moved locations, so they do not have a liquor license yet. AMAZING!!! This is my new favorite restaurant. The food was amazing. Everything we ordered was perfect. The presentation was beautiful and the flavors were perfectly paired. We started with the honey sriracha wings, sweet cilantro wings which were crisp and loaded with flavor. However, i really think the appearance of all these new restaurants around the area can truly look up to a place like this. For starters, this place has a decent sized menu that will fondle with your sweet tooth. They have a great selection of macaroons and other several goodies. But the menu is very unique in its own right. Sure you get your average noodle dishes but the dish that i wanted to try was the sizzling spicy sweet chicken dish. With a small bowl of rice, the presentation and portioning is great. However, although the chicken had a very great taste to it, i feel like most of my chicken bites barely had any meat in them. It really felt like I was biting into just crispy chicken skin which kind of went weird with the rice combo. Nevertheless, the reason why this dish seems to be so popular is the way of how it sizzles from across the room and onto your table. Its a decent dish but the hype really puts it on an imaginary pedestal. I really want to come back to this spot though. Haven't tried everything on the menu yet, but so far I love: Appetizers: the honey siracha wings (sweet, tangy, spicy), sizzling kitchen rolls (yum dipping sauce) Entrees: wonton noodle soup (love the light, sweet broth!), chicken pad thai, pho noodle soup special (perfect broth), and beef bibimbab. Delicious food! The cilantro wings are inspiringly amazing. It's an appetizer on special menu, and it's a must have! Other than that, we ordered a lemon chicken pasta and a pho. The beef in the pho is a little bit over cooked, still, filling portion and decent taste overall. The food was excellent! They list a telephone number yet no one answers! The call goes voice mail which states, " the mail box is full." The ordering of food online is cumbersome. When I went to pick up my food order I asked about the phone experience. I was told they don't listen to voice messages at all.
