Bottom line. If you're going to Sizzler for a gourmet meal you're delusional. I read a bunch of the reviews before going, but the amount of whiney ass people out there made my decision to go. I'm 49 and in my poor youth Sizzler wasnt fancy but it wasn't fast food either so we appreciated anytime we went. By the time I was 20 it had just universally gone downhill. I hadn't been in probably 2 decades but as a nostalgic joke and there's 1 2 blocks from us my wife and I went. Inside is still a Sizzler. Few updates here and there but the same. Walked over to the salad/kids station bar. Same ol crap buffet style food. Our food wasn't worth ever going back but laughing and enjoying our memories of yesteryear both with our families thinking how awesome Sizzler was made our date nite. If you're old school then you know the cheese bread. Its still awesome! Ice cream machine made soft serve so how can life be bad. Sorry to anyone who got wait staff other then who we had because everyone from the register to our busboy and server was hustling and polite. If you wanna whine about tipping like 1 of the comments did DON'T at the register. I gave cash at the end. Overall nostalgic but it'll probably be another decade if ever going back. Not good! They just reopened back up and I was not impressed at all! The servers to the cooks are very friendly, the problem is the food let me explain. 1. I had the salad bar, the chicken wings are not chicken wings as pictured online site and they were cold and the chili was also, the warmer was not working I guess. 2. Not a lot of choice at the bar, the salad dressings were limited to 2 choices. My table top was sticky so that my napkin actually stuck to the table. Just a cheaper version of the menu that was offered before Covid-19 Many years ago, I remember Sizzler, it "Rocked" with great appeal and the salad bar, chicken wings were really good! The deserts then were to die for, carrot cake an a variety of puddings and they kept up a really clean appearance, then it was really good and it was worth every penny. Over the yrs Sizzler just got cheaper, cheaper everything. I do apologize for being so rude and give such a low rating to my own local town Sizzler. I hope the future Sizzler will take note on their ratings and read them. Since they reopened some of my favorites are no longer available. The chicken wings, spaghetti, and taco bar are no longer there. The spaghetti bar is completely gone, the chicken wings have been replaced with chicken nuggets, and no more taco shells, only nacho chips. I was extremely disappointed, those items have been a staple of this sizzlers since I've been coming here. Unfortunately , once corporate took over they change the items. Everything else is the same, good service, steaks are decent, and cheese toast was excellent as always. read more

I just got the worst food from the Sizzler - it was like the Malibu chicken, which has always been my fav was sitting in a container for an hour - very tough - the baked potato wasn't cut but still not warm & the bread that they don't charge you for in the restaurant was $1.69 & was soggy & not warm - they really need to do a better job with takeout - I'm going to have to throw $28 worth of food away read more

Always had a good meal there. Love their salads, spaghetti, their soup or chicken wings. Their steaks a very tasty but on the tuff side. If you want it rare you have to order it extra rare otherwise it comes more medium rare. I do recommend going here. You can't go wrong eating here. read more

We hadn't eaten here for awhile since last few times steak was tough and jumbo shrimp were over done. We thought we'd order today for take out. Well, we most likely won't do that again. We love the Jumbo Shrimp but was so over cooked no shrimp was left in the extra cooking. To hard/crunchy to even eat. We were told toast came with meal but didn't get any. Hmmm Sad but as they say...Good help is hard to find. What ever happened to all the good food we used to get there. :-( Used to go there once a week and was so good. The salad bar was fresh and well maintained. However there were no signs saying what items were. I know some is self explanatory, some things are not. We thought we were getting a corn fritter and it ended up being a mini hotdog! The floors were very sticky. At the counter, by salad bar and in the bathrooms. The bathroom had a sign to be careful, wet floors. Not wet just Very Sticky. Upon ordering we mentioned the sticky floor to the manager, she said, "We will look into that" Nothing was done to correct the problem while we were there. (2 hours) Upon sitting at the table it looked clean. Once we sat down we discovered a lot of crumbs on the table. I unwrapped my silverware to use the napkin to wipe it down. I learned then both my forks were dirty! The waitress quickly replaced with a new set. Something caught my eye when I looked up. Looks like someone had a food fight on the ceiling! OMG - What next we thought! Upon leaving we noticed several smudges and finger prints on both sets of doors. It would also be nice to have some type of shade on the windows. Got very warm sitting next to the window with the sun shining through it. This was my second time dining since they opened due to covid. The first time it was not as dirty, but the food (malibu chicken) was Not Good. I'm willing to give it one more try - I am hoping it is not for a strike 3! read more

What can I say. I should've known when I walked into the bathroom and encountered a male staff giving me a blank look and I realized the floor was wet, that it was all downhill from there. Salad tasted old. Not sure if it was the dressing or toppings. Every bite was just off and I couldnt pretend to even like it. The fried chicken wings were old. The tortilla chips were stale. Last night was my first time at Sizzler. I had heard a lot about it from friends but never tried it myself we entered into a large dining area with a very friendly hostess who asked us to give our order. I ordered the New York Steak wWhich game with an all you can eat salad bar. Their salad bar was fresh and had lots of different items to choose from The steak arrived within 10 to 15 minutes max It was fantastic Our waitress was very attentive checked on as many times and made sure that we had refills of our drinks and other items that we needed Overall a very positive experience I'm glad I finally came to sizzler and will be returning read more

my friend and i came here for dinner, the salad bar did not have fresh items, and our waitress was rude, and kept ignoring our table and asked everyone else to check to see how they are doing. she kept making eye contact with us, and kept passing by our table but did not bother once to ask how we are doing or bother to see if we needed refills. we had to ask another server to refill our drinks. Hats off to a historic and decent salad bar. They have been in and out of favor since 1958, and somehow managed to survive our most recent economic woes, revived by yet another takeover in 2011. But with so many intriguing choices these days, they could be easily overlooked by folks like me. It took me years to muster up the courage to ask Mr. B to return for lunch here, but I finally did it. It was not just because large salad bars are hard to find, which they actually are in my area, but because there are two things that I cannot find on any other salad bar in this area....carnitas and fried chicken wings. They still served them here, glory be! I am not losing my mind, it is just that those two items made a good impression on me a long time ago, and I still crave them. The carnitas I remembered was slow cooked to a tender state, still in its own rich juices, and seasoned to make any Abuelita happy. I could fill up just on that. The fried chicken wings were meaty, lightly seasoned and battered to a Southern goodness, and are just as good as the wingy thingy fast food places that charge an arm and a leg. (An arm and a leg in exchange for a wing? That's funny.) They were just like I remembered them. To balance my cravings, a well built salad, refilled as many times as you wish, made this a decent meal. There are fresh greens, large selection of veggie, meat, and cheese toppings, fresh and canned fruits, and chilled selections of familiar pre-made salads. There are a multitude of dressings and they are good. This is a respectable salad bar that I have a hard time finding a reason to complain about. They also have about 4 choices of soup that appear to be made on site, and also hot pasta and taco makings. I wouldn't know of their goodness, I was too busy chowing down on my carnitas and wings. And the cheese bread....bad for you, yet still good. While they offer some desserts on the salad bar, they are not worth bragging about. For the ice cream enthusiasts, there is a soft serve machine (vanilla and/or chocolate) with a small selection of uninspired sweet toppings that will enable you to experience the scraping of your kid off the ceiling. I created my own little monstrosity by starting with vanilla soft serve, adding fresh pineapple, some chocolate pudding, and what they called a strawberry shortcake in a shot glass. Damn, forgot the Oreo cookie crumbles. Ah well. Not bad. Not ground shaking. Fed that sweet tooth adequately. Our server took great care of us, refilling our water glasses, picking up our used plates and replacing them with clean ones. He was just as attentive as he needed to be for a self serve meal. And for my final observation, at 2:00 in the afternoon, the kitchen was doing a great job of restocking even though it was after the traditional lunch hour. The 2 stars are for the salad and Fruit only. If you only have 1 or 2 people(like we were)you must keep getting attention of the server for ice tea, garlic toasts and plates. The chicken wings(if you can call them that)were 1 reason for having the salad bar and now those wings taste terrible!(dry and barely any meat!) now the Clam chowder was another reason for the salad bar and that soup had barely any clams in it??? Although we've eaten at this restaurant in the past, this was the seventh time my wife and I had Angelica. Her professional, friendly and courteous service was, "excellent". As it has been in the last "6" times we have come here and have her as our server. She is always, upbeat, friendly, smiling consistently. That's very hard to do working in the food service business. Angelica needs to be recognized for her outstanding professional attitude, mixed with courteous and a friendly attitude. Her friendly and hospitable demeanor continues to be a pleasure. That consistently makes our dining experience truly "fantastic" for the seventh time this year. I wish the rating system had 10 stars instead of 5. Angelica is and deserves a 10! She deserves it and she certainly earned it. Thanks, Angelica for the truly wonderful dining experience. We look forward to having you as our server on our next visit in a few weeks. I came in for a quick dinner tonight. I ordered the 6 oz tri tip sirloin with baked potato and salad bar. I was given my plate but no utensils to eat with. The " craft" salad bar has some new items worth trying which I did, including the kale salad and sweet potato spinach salad. The spinach was a little soggy, but good. I loaded up on salad, garbanzo beans and green peas with pickled beets. As I went to eat I noticed I didn't have utensils! I asked for them and the manager joked with his staff that I should of gotten my utensils as how else could I eat? It was pretty funny and I did get a chuckle out of it. I sat back down and ate my salad. It was good and I enjoyed it. My steak came and I was surprised at how small it was, but it was seasoned and cooked just as I had asked for. My baked potato was good too. The manager Ron, stopped by asked if I'd like cheese bread, which I did accept. It arrived hot and was good also. My only suggestion would be the hot food bar didn't look too good. The nacho cheese had a crust on top, the spaghetti looked slimy and the red sauce soupy. So I stayed away. The chicken noodle soup however was delicious. The desert bar doesn't have anything but ice cream, so that's it. Overall the salads and vegetables were worth it. I usually order a steak or occasionally a burger, and I've come to learn that the chefs at Sizzler have no idea how to properly cook meat. I always order my beef medium, and it is never, ever, ever, properly cooked. Most of the time it's overcooked, almost well-done even. One time, the center of my steak was damn near purple. I do enjoy the salad bar, though. I will often order a steak and pack that up for lunch at work the next day, and just have whatever's in the salad bar for dinner. The cheese toast is pretty awesome too. I've been going to Sizzler since I was a kid; perhaps, I still go for nostalgia's sake because generally, the food is mediocre. read more

The ladies at the front were rude and discriminated against a lady who was not wearing a mask who had a medical exception. They refused to serve her. Stopped by the new Sizzlers in Chino, what a beautiful and inviting place it turned out to be, and I love that they are keeping it super clean very important thing for me. I had the salad bar and I was so happy they mix all your salad ingredients for you, so every vegetable has dressing, I had the cream of broccoli soup it was delicious, and I'm so glad I had room for dessert, I love bread putting, and they had just brought out a freshly made one, it was so so good with my cup of coffee, as I'm writting this review, I know where I'm going for dinner tonight. Excellence!! I walked in to make an order to go. The gentleman at the register was very polite. We chatted a bit while the order was being prepared. He offered me something to drink while I waited! When I arrived home, we had so much food!! This was a true act of kindness from the restaurant. What a load of crap!!! Ordered the Malibu chicken and steak with a salad bar I wanted to give the steak to my Girlfriend and I eat the chicken and salad. The person upfront said that sharing is not aloud. We said we were not sharing the salad bar but then they said we cannot share the entree and had to order something else! Then the manager said I'll let it happen this time! I paid $30 and I can't share my steak? Then upon being seated we met our waitress and she is treating us like criminals being rude and just walks off on us. We came in on a Saturday. There were 4 staff members that I could see: 2 behind the cash register (including the manager) & two waitresses in the dining floor. The salad bar looked DISGUSTING! It was messy as heck, & they were not even that busy for the dining area to look like that! Either they were understaffed, didn't care, or this is the standard. Gross! I have never been disappointed with this Sizzler. I use to not come to Sizzler due to bad experiences in the past, but I am now a frequent customer at this location. The food is always good, salad bar is amazing with a lot of selection, plus you get, Tacos, Chicken, Soup etc.all for one price! A lot more then other salad bars at local restaurants. We had our group Holiday Party here and the manager was amazing. He allowed us to come in and completely decorate our tables. He even let us use other tables for gifts and a dessert table. I asked if it was okay to bring in our own Cake and Desserts even though they had their desserts and he told me it was no problem at all and even offered their refrigerator if we needed to place any in there before serving. What restaurant does that???? He was very accommodating and helped make our Holiday get together so amazing. Everyone was very pleased with the food, service and fun. We are now planning a lot more of our gatherings here in the future. read more
