Let me be clear: the food was good. I got the triple Dipper and it was bomb the big back in me was thriving. My mom had the full rack of ribs, my dad got fajitas, and everything tasted solid. But the service? Embarrassing. Our server kept raising her eyebrows at me while I was ordering like I was inconveniencing her by... ordering food... at a restaurant. Then she basically disappeared. No check-ins, no "how's everything," nothing. I had to hunt her down for a refill and ask for napkins like that was a special request. It's wild because Chili's is supposed to be easy-mode dining, and this felt like I was bothering the staff by existing. Thank GOD for that little kiosk on the table so we could pay and dip without having to deal with more attitude, because I don't need that energy when I'm just trying to eat. I came here around 7 pm and there was no wait time but a lot of seats were filled. The service was quick and I ordered two three for mes which was so worth it. It comes with a cup of soup, a drink, and entree for only $15! This is affordable for a sit down restaurant and the food portion was huge I took half my burger home. I got a blue lagoon for the drink which is on the secret menu and tastes sweet and carbonated. The pasta and burger was highly filling and tasted so delicious. I'm so sad about the quality of food and service after being a regular here for over 10 years. I always leave excellent review with their surveys but I skipped it today. - the Host sat us at the bar booth area . The bartender/ waitress who I am familiar with was taking care of the bar and all of the tables. It was understaffed. Because of this every time she swiftly asked how things were, I had no time to think- refills of water or beverages or needing condiments, etc. it was not her fault but this is the third visit and received the same rushed, lack of service due to poor staffing. Quality of food has decreased. Ordered additional food to go, smaller portions, greasy and no condiments to go with it. This chilis used to be my favorite place to go. My visit there on Sunday was a total disappointment . First of all I ordered their monthly lemon drop drink it was horrible I should have just ordered a lemonade. The woman that was our waitress was also the bartender I don't know why they do that because she was all over the place. It took us 40 minutes to get our food only because I ask for it to someone else. So the food comes out I ordered ribs 2 sides it came out with only one side and she couldn't remember what the 2nd side was. My niece ordered their magarita chicken the whole meal was cold not cool but cold. I called over the manager he took it probably put it in the microwave and brought it back. I had lunch at this Chili's today. As most of you know, I eat out quite a bit. So, is Chili's fine dining? No, it is not. But I had today, and usually have, an excellent experience here. Let's start with the service.... My server today was Mike. He gave me incredible service! He was attentive without being pushy. My food came out hot and in a timely manner. And most importantly, for me, my drink was never empty! Good job Mike! Now to the food. I had the 3 for me combo. Chips and salsa. Smashburger and fries. And a bottomless ice tea. All for $10.99! . Come on. This is the deal of the century, when a fast food burger can be easily that price and more! The chip were good and a large portion. The burger was very tasty as were the fries. We came on a Friday night for dinner and it was packed. The wait time was 35 minutes so we decided to sit at the bar. Our server Lucas was amazing and so attentive! He kept checking on us and refilling our drinks. The food came out quickly and it tasted fresh. The bar area is pretty loud and always busy since its first come first serve. Their friendly inviting demeanor honestly made up for the kid who came from the kitchen and almost poured my whole drink in my lap in his rush to slap the drinks on the table. If I could give 0 stars I would. Walked in, party of 2, and we were told that they were going to clear a booth by the bar. The booth is cleared and we waited for the host to come back and as the host is walking back, a white couple walked in and told the host they were taking OUR table to which the host didn't even bother saying we were waiting first. Anyway, the host let them take our table came back to us, said "sorry about that" and then tried to see if anyone else was getting ready to leave but by this point I was so upset that the host even let that happen. Me and wifey had a day off together and came to Chilis after going to Sam's Club nearby. I had only been to Chilis once in 1995 on a blind date. We both ordered the triple dipper and a couple of stiff drinks. The bartender was not playing around on this day. The triple dippers were good and family friendly if you have children. The drinks were so strong that I ordered two and only finished one. I was buzzing all the way through watching One of Them Days with Sza and Keke Palmer. I love Issa Rae who directed the movie because she always showcases Los Angeles businesses that are well known and she showed my uncles business (Dawah Book Shop) in their scene at Church's chicken. Decided to take my teen daughter to Chili's since the only time we've been here I told her was when she was a baby. I was beyond pleasantly surprised. Walked in for a later lunch & it was not full. Plenty of seating was available. We were greeted & seated immediately. Our server came & took our drink order immediately. We got the 3fer special where you get a starter, main, & drink for a great price. Our starter was small chicken enchilada soup. It was piping hot, cheesy and delicious. We both said we could have had a large bowl it was that good. Daughter ordered chicken strips & fries. I ordered the smash burger & fries. The burger was so good, pickles, chopped red onion, and fries were nice & hot. Overall, the food was delicious, big portion, price is great too- it's better than going to fast food which is so expensive nowadays. The service was fast and courteous. The server was nice. It was her third day of training and shes doing well. We only ordered appetizer to share between me and my boyfriend but she did not judge and was more than happy to just serve the appetizer. Very polite and happy! Dock off one star: The food is just decent. The nashville tenders were amazing though. Sliders are typical and they have an egg roll thats more mexican style. We were regulars at this restaurant but some of the finest waiters that were our servers no longer work there. The only person that works there, that is awesome with great customer service and friendly is Amy. Ask for her when you go there. The main female that's the general manager, I believe is a snob. She l's been there for years, she should go around to different tables and see how people's food is or their service. Her not having good customer service explains why this place has gone downhill and her employees act the same way as her. You'll be blessed if you get a smile from her. They seem to have a couple of new items on the menu. The place was clean nothing crazy, just really crowded. Service was good. I got the boneless wings, husband got the fajitas. Not bad. I originally was going to come on here and leave a very negative review about my experience with the hostess however my interaction with our waitress completely changed the whole dining experience. Kylie was our server. She was very friendly and attentive. She made sure we had an everything we needed and kept coming around to make sure everything was ok. Her upbeat vibe and energy was infectious and changed the evening for the better. If management reads this I would most definitely have a talk to with your hostess's about how to be professional and not talk about your customers while they are still inside dining.
