We've never been able to eat as much as we thought we could but it's a delicious goal to have! There are hot items at the Taco Bar, Fried Chicken Wings, Pasta & Meatball's & tasty Soups. The cold items feature an impressive variety of Lettuce Greens, vegetables & fruit. There are picnic style potato & seafood salads & just about everything to make a great fresh plate. A dessert bar offers brownies & soft serve. You can eat as healthy as you like or Go Nuts! If you still miss Souplantation this may be the fix you need. We order their small plates featuring Malibu Chicken & upgrade to include the Salad Bar. The menu board is a bit hard to navigate & prices aren't exactly low but customers must feel there's value since the place is very popular. You'll see posters featuring Steaks, Lobster & Shrimp as you enter so that's a big draw. Customer service is excellent. The manager's have come by the tables & the wait staff are very attentive. The appreciation seems quite genuine. The Los Alamitos location is closer to us but we're now partial to this Bellflower Sizzler. Among other things we like the warmer decor & layout while Los Al remodeled & seems less inviting. The outside signage now says Sizzler Family Steakhouse (playing down the Sizzler part). While we were in line at the counter, a woman said it was no longer a Sizzler but a restaurant called Family Steakhouse. I showed her the word "Sizzler" on the menu board but she just didn't get it. Sizzler has nostalgic appeal to me as it was where I would eat with my family as a kid. The Sizzler that I used to go to no longer exists; however, there are several locations that continue to service the LB area. Sizzler is not a steakhouse that features dry aged meats and prime cuts. They provide steak, chicken, and shrimp at an affordable price point and I'm here for it! I was able to get a 6oz sirloin steak with 6 jumbo fried shrimp, a baked potato, and their signature cheese toast for $25. The server was great. When she delivered my meal, she proactively offered me to check the doneness of my steak and she was pleased when I gave my approval. I really didn't have any expectations for my steak today; however, they gave pretty outstanding service. My go-to order is the Steak combo: Steak (6 oz tri-tip sirloin) & Jumbo Crispy Shrimp, which comes with 6 crispy shrimp and a choice of side. I always get the baked potato with everything (sour cream, butter, and chives), and add the unlimited salad bar. Sizzler's complimentary cheese toast and unlimited salad bar always hit the spot and is prepared fresh daily. Staff is very attentive to ensure that the stations are clean. I love their tuna salad, crab salad, broccoli & cranberry salad, macaroni salad, and potato salad. They also have a hot bar station, where they serve thick potato wedges, chicken wings, meatball & marinara spaghetti, create-your-own hard shell tacos, broccoli cheddar soup, and clam chowder soup. We love trying different Sizzler locations as the menus are pretty much the same but offers some different hot food items at the hot bar. This location is attentive, service is AMAZING and the restaurant is bright, inviting, and clean. The employees are constantly up on their feet making sure the salad bar is presentable, ingredients are refilled, & the bar is wiped down from spills. The plates are not stacked up near the salad bar area to serve yourself. Instead, it's done like the 90s. The server brings you clean plates and bowls. When you need more, your server will give you more plates or bowls. This location has a little bit more space, the dessert bar offered the usual softserve & topping, jello, pudding but the bonus? There were fresh strawberries, sliced watermelon, build your own shortcake with fruit topping and whipped cream. The soup bar had 4 types of soup (chicken noodle, clam chowder, Menudo & beef vegetables) Most Sizzler offer 3. The hot bar offered the usual wings, a sweet glazed bourbon chicken, potato wedges, spaghetti & meatballs in marinara sauce. We will be back again soon! read more
