I can't believe we didn't find this place sooner! Everything was awesome! The atmosphere is just as described...wide open, comfortable seating and nice decor. Service was top notch. Adam was knowledgeable and couldn't be more friendly. Go with his wine recommendations...he knows his stuff. The food was exceptional. I will preface this review with the fact that I have been a customer at sixty vines numerous times and have greatly enjoyed my experience. Last night did not match previous enjoyment of the service and food. Firstly, we had two waitresses, which seemed odd. When we arrived, the restaurant was sparsely occupied, so I found that odd. I asked for wine recommendations and was just asked to order. That is not what I was expecting. It started out on a negative note after that and the experience spiraled from there. We ordered a cheese and meat platter, which was actually tasty. Then we ordered the brussel sprouts, which are normally excellent. This time, they were fully burnt and charred not nicely fried. They were also lacking sauce. We had the waitress take those back and we ordered the buratta small plate and that tasted great. Then without asking if we were done ordering or eating, our check was delivered. We were 100% not done. Then I went to use the bathroom. My friend stayed at the table and then as I was reapproaching the table, she was heading to the bathroom. I returned to the table to find our wine gone, our food gone and mind you we had 50% left. I spoke to our waitress and the manager. They comped us for what they took, but the whole experience left such a bad taste in our mouth, so we paid the check and left. Between not giving requested wine recommendations, burnt food, bringing the check prematurely, taking our food and wine without asking if we were done was entirely inappropriate for a restaurant. We made a reservation for 5 p.m. on a Saturday which turned out to be a good idea as the place seems to fill up quickly as the evening progresses. While waiting to be seated, I looked over the whole set up. There are some 4 top tables on the left as you enter. However, in the center there are 2 long rows of tables. As we heard someone come in after us tell the person at the host stand that he didn't want to sit at the "cafeteria tables". And, yes, that setup did remind us of a cafeteria or a mess hall. My husband said he thought the decor gave the place a cold feel. It's a bit cavernous with industrial type lighting and poor acoustics. Between the background music and lots of people talking, it was noisy. In other words, not a place one would choose if romantic dining is your thing. Fortunately, they gave us a 4 top table. Our server who was prompt, gave us the option of using a QR code on the table to see the menu or we could get a paper one. We chose the latter. To drink, I ordered a mixed drink called "The Carajillo" which consists of: "Licor 43, calusa espresso, chocolate spiced rim". This was an interesting drink as it was at once bitter, sweet, spicy and salty. The salt comes from the rim as does the sweet and spice. My husband got a large bottle of Pellegrino sparkling water. For my main course, I ordered "rainbow trout" which (supposedly) consisted of: "pan seared, snap peas, pickled fennel, lemon-dill aioli, marcona almond gremolata". There were no snap peas (which was disappointing as I like them), no pickled fennel, and no marcona almond gremolata. The lemon-dill aioli was there but barely registered. Plus there was a side that I really couldn't identify. It had nuts that seemed to be peanuts and stems from a green veggie that I didn't recognize. On the plus side, the trout was well prepared---no bones and very flaky. My husband chose to have the "Atlantic Salmon" which consists of: "shaved Brussels sprouts, shallot braised peppers and smoked paprika vinaigrette." It was served with a spicy tomato or pepper-based sauce. His lips were pleasantly numb upon finishing the dish. We had room for dessert and each got a piece of "Basque cheesecake" which consisted of: "carmelized cheesecake, luxardo cherries". This was very creamy and smooth with the cherries adding a nice touch of flavor. Went here for a little wine&dine with a group of friends about an hour before closing on a Monday. We ordered at the bar and sat at their cozy little mock-living room area with a couch and some comfy seats. The vibes are lowkey but lively, and there is plenty of seating. The patio was closed due to the heat warning but walking by outside you can see how beautiful it is. Our bartender/server was amazing. They do FREE WINE SAMPLES and boy did she deliver. Our party was a bit large for the seating at the cozy area so she brought us extra chairs and tables. She even gave us a free frose because she made an extra. You'd think the portions of food wouldn't be that big since it's a wine&dine restaurant, but they were huge!! The shareables are definitely big enough to fill up a party of 4, but still satisfy a party of 8+. I quite enjoyed all of the food. Nothing was a culinary standout but everything was solid, cooked well, and fresh. I've passed by this place plenty of times while in RTC, but now I'm kicking myself for never having gone in til now. I really like sixtyvines! This place is cute, clean, open, and has 60 wines on tap. I had a sweet, bubbly wine (Centorri) and a taste of my partner's froze, and both were really good! As someone who doesn't really drink much, it was still so exciting to browse over the extensive selection. Literally, a wine drinker's paradise. The food was also really good. The house salad was amazing! I didn't really care for the bacon-wrapped dates. Margherita pizza was good, I added a side of honey for a nice contrasting sweetness. Campanelle pasta was insanely good, I've been thinking about it ever since! Portions could be bigger (or maybe serve on smaller plate, because it looked skimp). Service was good. Was able to get a same day reservation on a Friday night and was seating within 10 mins of arrival. Ive been here a few times and still aren't impressed. I was so excited for this spot to open; gave it time to improve, and it's not aging well (wine pun intended). The ambiance is just strange. It's a mix between industrial, rustic French farm house, and modern. It distracts me every time I go inside. It's bright inside and not stuffy or pretentious. This spot is pricey, especially for a place that pours their wine from the wall and not even a bottle. You can pay around $50 or more (depending on your selection) for a flight. The first time I tried the place, the server was only somewhat knowledgeable about the variations in the wine and had the filthiest fingernails I have ever seen. Like pure chunks of dirt/black gunk were sitting on his nails. He continued to point and the dirt was never washed off (he had to have seen it, right?! or at least someone he worked with?!). My first time here and it won't be the last! Came for lunch with friends, only one had dined here before. We had a reservation for 1pm and we were seated immediately. The restaurant wasn't too crowded due to the hour. The aesthetic of the restaurant was clean, bright and fresh. We later learned that they very much believe in sustainability (always a plus) and we saw the details in which they do this. Our server was (I don't know how she spells her name) A-Lee-A (phonetically). She was an absolute joy! Her smile and warm, easy going personality definitely added a positive note to our experience! Since it was lunch, we all just stuck with water. We ordered the crispy zucchini for an appetizer to share. It was so good! Just enough heat without being too. We sat inside the first visit but have consistently sat outdoors in the front couch area of the patio thereafter since we bring our dogs. The food is okay. Not sure I'd go back there just for food - it's food appetizers for sharing to accompany the copious amounts of wine I drink but otherwise, they're all just good brunch items. I always get the Osmosis which is the Sauvignon blanc. Their bar area is honestly off putting - it looks like a bathroom wall with faucets. Something about it is just off. We came in before the holidays and waited about 20+ minutes to be sat even with a reservation. The spot is trendy and open concept- but you get sat at tables with others so can be a bit awkward. The service was really bad the time we came in- took about 20 minutes to see the waiter, another 15 minutes to get water for the table and another 45 to get another water when we ran out of the small bottle. Our shared old fashion came out semi quick but they served our friends drink to another table so she didn't get her drink for 30 minutes until after she ordered. Food came out in waves and all of it was solid- the eggplant dip, the zucchini chips, the burrata were all fresh with great flavor. I came here during a recent trip to Reston with my girlfriend. We arrived pretty much full and wanted to sip wine and watch a festival that was taking place outdoors in the Town Center. Well, they certainly have wine, but it's not cheap. In fact, I noticed that only one-third of the diners were drinking wine. My girlfriend opted for a wine flight and I had a mixed drink. Both were exceptional. We ordered a charcuterie board, that was also good. My experience dipped when I secretly told the waitress that it was my girlfriend's birthday, and asked that she put together a surprise dessert. I told her I'd pay for whatever she arranged and not to worry about cost. My girlfriend and I planned to go out for dinner later in the evening. Well, the waitress forgot about my request, which pretty much killed the reason I came here in the first place. The waitress tried to make up for it by taking $10 of the order, but that did not rectify damaging the moment. This is actually an interesting place. The wine is select and expensive; however, the food is less expensive and quite affordable. Everything I saw on tables looked great. The atmosphere is fantastic and we dined outdoors, where we were able to enjoy the festival taking place that day. Again, not many people were drinking wine. When we were leaving, the indoor dining room was jam packed. Oddly, there was a considerable number of young diners and it appeared they were kids whose parents paid for a safe experience. The kids were all dressed well, with equal manners. This isn't a place that you just fall inside. It takes some planning, and when we left at 5:50PM, the waiting line was quite long. My experience is what it was. Everything served was good and the restaurant is exceptional; the waitress just botched my request. I came here purposely to have a nice afternoon birthday celebration with ambiance. It appears their wine is priced to appeal to high taste, and more importantly, a packed wallet. After multiple times here, last night could've been the last BUT Sixty Vines has certainly earned a customer for many more visits. It was a gorgeous day and we had reservations at 5:15 and the outdoor patio, and the restaurant was getting filled quickly. We were seated in the private dining room which was nice because it was a lot quieter but away from the servers, or so we thought. We were waited on by Kelly and even though it was a busy evening, she did amazing in making sure we were taken care of. Her positive attitude and attentiveness truly made us feel like family, and made us feel well taken care of. Our dishes came out staggered and quite slow; and these were just the appetizers. We understood it was a busy night but our dinner was almost a full three hours because it was taking a while for things to come out. We did have a little hiccup with one of the dishes but they quickly remedied the situation. Mitch, the Manager for the evening, was AMAZING. He came to check on us and could tell that we were waiting on our dishes and paid personal attention to ensure things came out. Mitch and Kelly were so kind and while we didn't complain, they personally added the extra service and attentiveness to let us know that we weren't wrong in wondering why some dishes were taking a bit longer. We had the BEST experience last night thanks to our incredible server, Z. From the moment we sat down, she made us feel welcome, attentive without being overbearing, and genuinely kind. She anticipated our needs before we even asked--our drinks were always full, the food came out perfectly timed, and every recommendation she gave was spot on. We were impressed with the food, service and ambiance! Everything we ordered was delicious - Frog's Leap wine (amazing!!!!), charcuterie board, Truffled Vineyard Fries (amazing!!!), Wood Grilled Shrimp (amazing!!!), Rigatoni, Pan Roasted Chicken, and Basque cheesecake. But again, what really stood out was the way Z treated us. Like friends instead of just customers. She has such great energy and made sure everything was just right which truly elevated the whole evening. From the moment I first arrived the service was abysmal. Line out the door with multiple groups of staff talking amongst themselves and paying no attention to the front. Manager after 10 minute comes up and is acting like we're inconveniencing him for requesting outside on a 85 degree day. Couldn't even muster any time of greating or hello to anyone. This was to the point I heard multiple groups of people talking about his attitude and the wait with people doing nothing, one couple even left and went to North Italia out of annoyance. Drinks took 20 minutes at the table to arrive. When we moved to the bar after 3 drinks and dinner we experience the same staff talking amongst themselves and paying 0 attention to their guests. Was cut off after 3 drinks because I simply asked them to do their jobs after experiencing probably the worst evening out in years. This is basically a copy cat of North Italia although they have better food and better service. I also wanted to add the behavior of the bartenders who refused to give me their names. So incredibly rude, making inappropriate comments as I was leaving and probably the worst attitude I've ever experienced from a restaurant worker. Came here after work for some drinks and dinner, the restaurant was so cozy yet modern. It was a pretty big space, but by the time we left it was fully packed, so would reserve a table in advance. Our waitress was super friendly and kept checking on us, which we really appreciated. This comes with both red beet and edamame hummus, so you are getting different styles from the chickpea norm. Both were very tasty and paired well with the accompanied crisped flatbread. Then we had the Santa Maria trip tip steak starter. It was perfectly med rare with a good wood grilled char on the outside. It came with a tasty chimichurri sauce. I had a reservation for inside at 545p but was hoping for an outdoor seating due to a concert at the Pavilion. So at check in I asked how long was the wait for outdoor, I was told an hour and a-half, which would be 715pm. I asked to be on the list for outside while we could eat dinner inside but was told I would have to give up my table inside for a 715p outdoor seating-and the manager would not budge and so since the concert starts at 730p, I put us on the outdoor list to wait an hour and ahalf. I got an email at 552p that Sixty Vines canceled my reservation. We thought bar crawl-then went to Passion Fish 6p, ate dinner and by 715, head back out to Sixty Vines for the outdoor seating, so we could watch Kevin Bacon's concert. 3 of us shared a bottle, ate light dinner because we were saving room for Sixty Vines for a couple more drinks, snacks & desserts... But to our dismay, we were told we would wait some more because it's a first come first serve and I see no one else was waiting, the reception was pretty empty and I told them there was a table outdoor that was unoccupied or recently vacated- they then give that table up to another group. I also felt Sixty Vines was preselecting folks because the first time we checked in at 545 with a reservation, another party -who walked in after us, was accommodated for outdoor seating-i'd hate to use any racial connotation but there was a hint of it in there--is only reason! I was highly disappointed of this once was Clydes, excited to try them; not only they lost a big dinner paycheck for 4, but that they also lost me as a potential repeat client given the way their inhospitality~simply unprofessional and ran like a zoo of a place! It was one of the worst experience we had checking in-restaurant could have had a better or fair system especially during special events...we were eventually seated outdoor on a community uncleaned table, dirty chairs and worst of all poor service! We waited for our snacks forever that they only brought it at the tail end of our second drinks and only after telling the server to cancel it, but she insisted it was coming and it was already on our check. Concert is only until 830p... We tried to enjoy seeing Kevin and hang on for his Footloose finale song but it was bittersweet! This review was my experience with the restaurant, and to me, Sixty Vines should rethink their hospitality across the board and not preselect people! They were all super duper good! the guy who worked there was super nice and friednly and seemed knowledgable about all the differnet kind of vines! it is a bit overwhelming to choose between 60 vines but he made it seamless!! I would def come back here, i had an absolutely amazing experience and would recommend anyone to come here as alnterative of driivng far out to a winery! read more

Beautiful new place in Reston where Clyde's used to be. It's a bit overpriced to drink as there's so many great happy hours at Reston Town Center. We were interested in the food. Food (4/5): they lost a start for inconsistent pizza. The spicy sausage pizza came really highly recommended so we gave it a try. The first time we had it, it was amazing. The crust was perfect and thin and crispy. The second time the middle was soggy and I was really disappointed. It seems that they forgot our order and it seemed rushed. We tried the crispy zucchini and it was just amazing!! Service (4/5): Mackenzie was awesome and a great server. Elmer was also amazing and was kind and efficient. We were charged for a drink we didn't order and I didn't see it until I returned home. Luckily, I had emailed myself a copy, emailed the restaurant and a few days later received a credit to my card. It was pretty seamless process but I was annoyed that this happened. Make sure you check your bill! Ambience: (5/5) beautiful new location!
