Unfortunately, this company has really gone down hill. I was a frequent customer until recently. - employees handling food have long hair, that is not secured back. Has great potential to fall into food. - they use their gloves to touch commonly used areas then make your food (E.G door handles). - they wiped their knives on old dirty towels that they use to clean the counters too. - continously get my order wrong, just waited 15mins then got home and its not even my order - has a dusty dirty fan blowing all over food on the counter being prepared. We've been here three times. The first two were within a month of opening and they were great. Now we came and got egg and cheese bagels. $8.50 each and the bagels are half the size that they originally were, they're tough and the counter people simply weren't very friendly. Sadly I can get better bagel sandwiches at Panera for $3 less and with friendlier service. read more

loved that you can actually see them cooking it up in the kitchen instead of just microwaving what is on display, but a bit overpriced for the meals. Sixth Borough Bagels is an awesome place to just pick up some bagels or to have a hearty breakfast. They've got tons of bagel options, including (at least for now as a special) a pumpernickel everything bagel! Their morning sandwich is awesome, as is their whitefish salad, which is served open faced and topped with ungodly (in a good way) amounts of whitefish. Finally got a chance to stop in and try Sixth Borough Bagels! The staff were super friendly and helpful. Small spot with some counter space for enjoying my bagels there but I did take mine home. Very clean and quaint. Everything was delicious, my only comment on the bagels is a bit tough on the outside that gives a chewier texture than I'm used to but all the same deliciousness I crave. Location is in the middle of town so I got to discover an area that I have only driven through and not explored. We will definitely be back to this little gem! read more

This tiny shop in Olympia is one of the top ten bagel shops in the state. Bagels are well made, have good texture, and have good flavor. And they sell out. I was happy we phoned ahead for a dozen because they were telling people they were out of everything bagels by the time we got there. Would I drive to Olympia just for these? No (we were there for an event) because we have some great places around Seattle, too. But this shop is right there in the top ten mix. Olympia is luck to have this great place. read more

Not good. And I definitely would not consider it an extension of the 5 boroughs. I got there right when it opened and ordered an everything bagel with veggie cream cheese. VERY reasonable prices. Friendly staff. But, the bagel was SO tough, like chewing on shoe leather, and they barely spread the cream cheese on the bagel. If you're gonna call it a SCHMEAR, then you have to do more than smear a coating of cream cheese on the bagel. One thing that makes NY bagels iconic is the bagel:cream cheese ratio. The ratio is off here, big time. Also it doesn't taste like a NY bagel where they boil their bagels... the texture is more like a Canadian bagel, just baked straight from dough. I will say the flavors were great, the everything bagel was loaded with seasoning, and the veggie cream cheese was packed with veggies and flavor. But, the bagel itself was SUPER tough. Which is strange since I was their first customer, and I NEVER toast a good bagel. I don't understand how you get a fresh bagel that you can barely bite into. Mixed feelings. I lived in NYC for 7 years. The hype on this bagel shop is these are prepared like NY bagels and should taste like them. They are much better than bagels I've had elsewhere in the west (dinner rolls with holes in them). But still aren't up to NY standards. The rubbery dough (high gluten development) was missing and the exterior was more like a baguette - way too crispy. Last is price. $2 per bagel? I got the good morning on an everything bagel add American cheese with half sausage half bacon I'm from Jersey and being on the west coast it's hard to find anything similar to home like the Jewish delis or a good bagel spot with breakfast sandwiches this store takes me back to New Jersey with every bite the bagels taste like a New York bagel soft with the right amount of chew the egg was seasoned by the gods and added that perfect accent to the bacon and sausage that tucked in between the everything bagel made it a Disney symphony of flavors that combined perfectly together the staff is amazing it's a small bagel spot so not much ambiance just a perfect grab and go spot but if you do want to sit and eat they having seating the best bagel spot in Washington and I stand on that read more

This place has a good vibe in the morning with people lining up and all abuzz. I stuck around to eat though, and I was the only one. They have six stools facing the window which was nice. But food wise the bagels were disappointing. They're a little small and they don't toast the bagels, so that your bagel is cold when it's served to you. I ordered the Euro (bagel with Kerrygold butter smeared on top) and it looked and tasted sad. So I saved that and put it in the air fryer at home and it was still just okay, although better than the bite I took in store since I added more butter and salt flakes. I also ordered the Everything bagel with a plain shmear and again, just okay. I don't mind if they use a generic cream cheese since I use that at home, but putting it on a cold bagel just made it feel funny in my mouth. I am really bummed to update this review and I hesitated to do so because this is a new business, but with that being said, I do believe in honest reviews. So here goes....the bagels are delicious. The customer services needs some work. 1.) I have gone in numerous times over the 4 months to find they are consistently sold out of most of their bagels within hours of opening. I know they are popular and that is awesome but what kind of business model is it when you have to be there immediately after opening to guarantee their product. 2. They do not have a menu on their website. This is nuts in the year 2024. My coworkers and I have wanted to order bagel sandwiches from them more than once but we can't find a menu on their website. I called and asked them where I could find one and they told me to try Instagram. I searched and searched and finally found a photo of their menu but it was hard to read. When I called to order one of the sandwiches on said menu, I was told it was a seasonal special that they no longer had. It isn't that hard to put the info on your business website and update accordingly. 3.) Another day, I called to place a lunch order at 10:30 a.m. to find they only had 2 flavors of bagels left (both sweet). I don't know many people who want a turkey bagel sandwich on a cinnamon raisin bagel. Why even offer lunch on your menu if you aren't going to have the components to make the lunch sandwiches? 4.) I came in on Christmas Eve day 6 minutes after they opened to pick up a couple of bagels for breakfast. I was told that unless you pre-ordered bagels they didn't have any for sale. WHY? Why wouldn't you make some bagels for individual sales and customers? This info was not posted anywhere except on their door so I drove all the way in to learn this, wasting 30 minutes and gas. If I had my eyes closed and bit into a bagel here, at least the ones we had, I would think that I was on the bench outside of Russ and Daughters on Houston in NYC. Proper texture and chewiness. OMG!! These are REAL BAGELS!! Real east coast bagels like I haven't had in years. I ordered just a sesame and cream cheese and asked for toasted. They don't toast, he said. They're made THIS MORNING! Ok I said, baffled. Then I bit into it, and OHO!! So that's why!. Beautiful crunchy outside already, just dense enough, good structure without being leaden, just...perfect. The bagels are cold when you get them which makes them harder to eat, especially if you get one of the bagel sandwiches. If they toasted the bagels my rating would go up 1.5 stars. This place had so much hype but it was a little bit of a let down. The bagel flavor was amazing! The cream cheese smear was also amazing! What I didn't expect was for the bagel to come to me cold and tough. There wasn't any option to get it toasted or I would have done that if I had known it would come out cold, day old tasting, and hard to bite. They are newer so still working out the kinks! I know they post on social media about making the bagels the day before but I thought maybe there would be a warmer of some sort to make sure that the bagels still tasted fresh the next day. The service was incredible! Everyone was super friendly and very polite. We didn't have to wait very long (only one person in front of us) which was great for a weekend. Good place to go for a quick breakfast. Inside is small, some space to sit but not quite roomy enough to stay while eating. You will have to wait outside if there are more than 3 people in line. Service was good, the people working were friendly and welcoming. We got the Westside (turkey, bacon, tomato, scallion cream cheese) on a salt bagel. The inside was good, the scallion cream cheese was really yum. Similar to a previous review, the bagel itself is quite hard. The texture felt like it was toasted, but the consistency was giving that it was toasted a day ago. Not what I would expect from a bagel spot. Lots of places purport "East Coast" style bagels - this place actually delivers! Perfect amount of crunch on the outside and chewiness on the inside. They do standalone bagels and schmears, as well as, a variety of bagel sandwiches too. Family tried the Lox and the Morning. Both were amazing.
