loved that you can actually see them cooking it up in the kitchen instead of just microwaving what is on display, but a bit overpriced for the meals. Paid $30 for both of these orders, but it is okay because it was the first time that I saw my friend in a long time, hehe ... as for the staff, they were very joyful and u can tell that they all have good chemistry when working with one another. place was pretty cute with the allusions to nyc with their wall posters, but it was so tight at the front cashier spot. had to even wait in line outside in the cold, but I guess that goes to show u how well-liked this brunch place seems to be by others.

Finally got a chance to stop in and try Sixth Borough Bagels! The staff were super friendly and helpful. Small spot with some counter space for enjoying my bagels there but I did take mine home. Very clean and quaint. Everything was delicious, my only comment on the bagels is a bit tough on the outside that gives a chewier texture than I'm used to but all the same deliciousness I crave. Location is in the middle of town so I got to discover an area that I have only driven through and not explored. We will definitely be back to this little gem!

This tiny shop in Olympia is one of the top ten bagel shops in the state. Bagels are well made, have good texture, and have good flavor. And they sell out. I was happy we phoned ahead for a dozen because they were telling people they were out of everything bagels by the time we got there. Would I drive to Olympia just for these? No (we were there for an event) because we have some great places around Seattle, too. But this shop is right there in the top ten mix. Olympia is luck to have this great place.

Not good. And I definitely would not consider it an extension of the 5 boroughs. I got there right when it opened and ordered an everything bagel with veggie cream cheese. VERY reasonable prices. Friendly staff. But, the bagel was SO tough, like chewing on shoe leather, and they barely spread the cream cheese on the bagel. If you're gonna call it a SCHMEAR, then you have to do more than smear a coating of cream cheese on the bagel. One thing that makes NY bagels iconic is the bagel:cream cheese ratio. The ratio is off here, big time. Also it doesn't taste like a NY bagel where they boil their bagels... the texture is more like a Canadian bagel, just baked straight from dough. I will say the flavors were great, the everything bagel was loaded with seasoning, and the veggie cream cheese was packed with veggies and flavor. But, the bagel itself was SUPER tough. Which is strange since I was their first customer, and I NEVER toast a good bagel. I don't understand how you get a fresh bagel that you can barely bite into. Disappointing, being a New Yorker... it's more of a Canadian style bagel.

    Decent wrap

Big name to live up to. The bagels aren't risen enough and over cooked and small making an extremely hard bite. The texture is way off like I want a side of SOFT bagel with my cream cheese, not hard shards of bagel cutting my throat. No egg bagels which is disappointing. The bagels are okay for the west coast, but they do not deserve this name and you need a strong jaw. Don't come here expecting a great bagel like I did. - A sad New Yorker

Delicious bagels with dairy free options too! Cozy and clean atmosphere. They never skimp on the schmear!

This place has a good vibe in the morning with people lining up and all abuzz. I stuck around to eat though, and I was the only one. They have six stools facing the window which was nice. But food wise the bagels were disappointing. They're a little small and they don't toast the bagels, so that your bagel is cold when it's served to you. I ordered the Euro (bagel with Kerrygold butter smeared on top) and it looked and tasted sad. So I saved that and put it in the air fryer at home and it was still just okay, although better than the bite I took in store since I added more butter and salt flakes. I also ordered the Everything bagel with a plain shmear and again, just okay. I don't mind if they use a generic cream cheese since I use that at home, but putting it on a cold bagel just made it feel funny in my mouth. Too bad because really wanted to like this place.

Sidewalk's BEC/EC bagel sandwiches are like back home!! The best I've had in the PNW. We've been coming for years and plan to continue - when we have visitors from out of town we bring them here. Not just for the breakfast sandwiches but the rest of the menu is outstanding. I don't want to leave a bad review because this place is great and I'm hoping it can be fixed but I can't find contact info other than a phone # (I called and conveyed this too) and did want to reach out and let the owners know: over the past few weeks we've ordered BEC/EC bagels on two separate occasions and there has been a noticeable decrease in the bagel quality. Idk if there is a change in recipe or supplier or process, but the whole family agrees there is something off. The bagels are too soft and fall apart and the flavor is weird - almost like a weird bun instead of a bagel... we hope that can get fixed!! I'm happy to delete this once the owners see it! We really love coming here and want Sidewalk to do well!

The pork wasn't grilled, it tasted like it was microwaved, there was no flavor at all, the veggies were limp, there was no jalapeño or anything and no Vietnamese mayo, the only good part was the bread. We ordered three sandwiches, one for each of us and one for our son. We just shared the 1, and gave most of that to our dog. We brought the other 2 home. My son took a bite and couldn't eat any more of it. And he eats everything lol I absolutely hate wasting food and money like this. I was really, really looking forward to a bahn mi sandwich. I'm having oral surgery in a week and won't be able to eat them for a very, very long time, maybe never again. We live in Aberdeen and were in town for a doctor's appointment, and our usual spot is closed on Thursdays. So I found this place on yelp. Huge disappointment. And I'm bummed that I have to leave this review because the service was great. The gentleman at the counter, who took our order and cooked our food was super friendly and nice. And maybe the other food there is good, but if you're looking for a bahn mi, go somewhere else. It was literally the worst we've had.

They do it all--hosting, serving, bussing, and even working behind the bar--like a big, wonderful collage of hospitality. They are so warm and friendly. They're making sure everyone is well taken care of! The long benches offer that cozy 'booth feel'. It can be a bit brisk near the mall entrance, so a light sweater is a smart choice. It's already a great spot for families; adding a few crayons for the little ones would make this nearly-perfect gem shine even brighter. First, I ate a Flight of Sliders: * The PB&J Slider: A curious treat! It could have easily been a dessert, like a sweet beef pastry. Perhaps a homemade jelly would help it find that happy, balanced medium between sweet and savory. * The Fatted Sow Slider: The bourbon-bacon slaw, or maybe it was the pickle, or marinated tomato had a bold tang that took center stage. I like pickled things, but I'm always looking for harmony where every flavor gets a chance to sing! * The Poutine Slider: this was my favorite out of the three. The gravy was smooth and the curds were rich. It was the most balanced of all. (It would be a fun spin to see those potatoes as deep-fried rounds or hash browns!) The flight comes with beer or a milk shake, they were out of the blonde options. So, I got a milkshake instead -- more sugary than mellow creamy/tart berries. Then we tried "Gettin Nutty With It" 5.5% ABV, a macadamia nut beer from Olympus Brewing. It was rich and brown, with notes of malt and caramel. My wife had the Three Pepper Bomb Burger, and it was the very best burger of all! Our little ones ate their kids' meals, and then--pop!--out came free sundaes. We have eaten at Stack 571 four times now, and every time the ingredients are high quality and the food is on point. It's always worth it.
