She was greeted by the cashier who touched the garment and immediately after used hand sanitizer. I am not sure if she is a germaphobe or just rude. She was told she couldn't return the item and was extremely rude. My daughter was very uncomfortable and not someone to cause trouble so she left. Her sister was in the car and immediately came in to her defense and to try to figure out why she was so rude and why the item couldn't be returned. I have purchased many items from your store and returning items for me weren't ever an issue. My daughter called me very upset stating that the rude employee said the item was worn and it was not. My older daughter was appalled and demanded to speak to a Manager, several young girls claimed they were managers and that the item couldn't be returned. It is my understanding the manager on duty was someone named Alexis. It is ridiculous how my girls were treated. Needless to say the item was left there and we received store credit. NO ONE I mean no one should ever be treated the way my daughter was. She left the store very upset and with just cause, so much so, that other shoppers came to her defense. I am writing to you so that you can train your staff better and your managers should not allow anyone who deals with customers be in the front and center of your store especially if they don't have manners and people skills. There is a way to handle customers. The times I have gone there with my children they are all very rude, young uneducated children who don't care whether you lose a customer or not. I know you do not want to have such immature people running your establishments. If I was there today this wouldn't have happened but that shouldn't be the case. Everyone should be treated fairly and with respect. She clearly doesn't like her job and honestly shouldn't be working there. There are also fewer price check stations, and the mens shoe dept is in desperate need of some TLC because boxes of shoes are mismatched and disorganized. The one saving grace for Macys that keeps me coming back is their Star Rewards program. They do a great job of offering deals at 15%-25% off regular priced and sale merchandise and even sent me an extra 30% off coupon for my birthday, and when I get to redeem my Star Rewards points it's like cashing in on even deeper savings.

This Spirit Halloween opens for the Halloween season where the Sears in Woodbridge Center used to…read morebe, although it occupies less than half of the upper level. The inventory here appears to be larger than that at the East Brunswick or South Plainfield locations. There is a slight department-store feel, since the space is so enormous and is divided into sections for children on the right and adults on the left. The first thing I noticed were kid costumes for Naruto, Bleach, Fortnite, Legend of Zelda, and Avatar Last Airbender--which are all popular albeit noticeably dated franchises. There was a large light-up set display in the back and another one in the front whose purpose I could not ascertain. Selfie stations, maybe? The adult costume selection is far less interesting, but I saw some costume sets for Coraline, Harry Potter, and Hanna-Barbera characters. If this store had newly licensed costumes from 2021 or later, I certainly couldn't find any. There are also about two racks' worth of basic makeup products and accessories by the far side of the store closest to the parking lot. It's nice to see this old, empty, depressing space being used for something festive since Sears closed in spring of 2020. Will plan to be back on November 1st.
