Elena was awesome, and I had such a great time chatting with her- thanks to her, I enjoyed the Brussels Sprout appetizer at the Salt House restaurant. Experience was great all around, and if you love vintage clothing, you must stop in- the store has been there for 30 years! I'm sure you'll find something to fall in love with, like I did.

I love coming across a vintage shop with a variety of pieces from multiple decades. This store…read moredefinitely was one of those. The selection was great, and the store was organized well. Just a few minor things. I personally did not feel like the cashier in the front of store was welcoming. Sure they helped someone who asked about their restroom, but I don't know that they ever greeted anyone who came in. I'm very sensitive to this when I'm shopping, because a warm greeting can mean a lot to unfamiliar tourists. I also felt like the clothes, to me, were on the expensive side. The price of $25 felt right for some shirts/blouses, but not for others, but it was a default price nonetheless. Replica band/concert tees were priced equally high, and some of them were beat up while not being vintage. Other items, I just felt like I could find at the thrift and get a better deal. I thrift a lot from many, many different venues, so I know this for sure. While I understand the beauty of a vintage store is that someone else did the shopping for you, the markup felt like a lot at times. Most of the stores I go to in Philly have a variance of price points. Besides that, it was a cool store. It was like walking into the past, which was fun.

I am a big fan of original luxe and sometimes that comes from shopping in vintage stores. Also,…read moreshopping in a store that recycles and re-purposes clothing means less waste, less shipping, and basically better deals! This store is in a cute little row of shops along the main drag in Frenchtown. Parking is a major pain so be patient and drive around and hopefully you'll find a spot. Once you do it's easy to walk to all the stores and be sure to find Country Chic. Inside it's well organized by type of clothing like skirts in one area, dresses in another, etc. and the racks tend to be organized by size and then color coordinated. Type A after my own heart! What really made me enthused about this tiny store was the excellent customer service. I ended up buying one shirt and there was another one just like it but I wasn't certain if I wanted it. When I phoned them the next day they arranged to mail it to me for a very small fee. That kind of service is not available everywhere nowadays and it was really welcome! By the way the store had not only used items but had some new items that they had bought and close out from other local stores. They also sold some really cute small gifts and things like candles. TL/dr: adorable shop for not-new and new clothing & trinkets

Everything and "MOORE" than the average vintage boutique…read more I had 15 minutes to kill today and apparently I died and went to vintage heaven. This place is literally bursting at the seams with the most beautiful, one of a kind, vintage, pieces. Everything from 20s flapper, 50s housewife, 60s retro, 70s boho chic, everything in between, and maybe even the future! No matter what era of vintage you are into this place has it. They have a small men's selection and some vintage children's clothes as well. Rose is the owner and she is fabulous! She greeted me as soon as I came in the door and asked me if I was looking for anything in particular. I asked her if she had any military coats and she quickly and happily showed me 2 authentic ww era coats that were both exactly what I was looking for. Rose clearly has a killer sense of style and an eye for fashion. A few pieces that really caught my eye were customized pieces she hand painted, beaded, or sewed. As I shopped I noticed every piece of clothing I picked up had a dry cleaner tag attached, which impressed me a lot. I also noticed the store didn't have that vintage musty smell. My 15 minutes in heaven was flying by way too fast and it just continued to get better. As I scurried around the store, Rose helped me maximize my time by showing me the most AMAZING items! I think my heart skipped a beat when Rose unveiled the super rare "Picasso Faces" fur coat Rihanna was seen wearing. The coat selection was amazing. I ended up investing in two coats at great prices but I got "Moore" than just a couple of cute jackets. Rose and I were chatting as I was cashing out,. I was officially running fashionably late at this point but I was having so much fun. As I was leaving, Rose explained to me that she wanted RCmoore unique to be a safe haven for ALL people to, come hang out, relax, feel good, feel confident, and leave feeling empowered! Rose didn't have to explain that to me, and I'm sure the extra spring in my step as I left, made it obvious, I already knew ;-) Thank you! A few other tidbits... Easily accessible parking is off street, directly adjacent to the store. Rc Moore has great hours and they also offer appointments after hours and on Sunday's!
