After we went to the latter with only partial success, DH suggested going to Sterling. He'd been there before, while I had only wanted to visit but had never stopped in. It's beautifully laid out. Though it's a nursery, selling all manner of trees and other plants, it's arranged to feel like you're visiting a designed garden. Once we drove into the heart of the property I was somewhat confused on where to stop and park. DH remarked that they had done some major rearranging since he'd last been there, so he wasn't sure where to direct me to go. We found a spot that wasn't blocking any of their driveways, then got out to take a look around. We weren't seeing any succulents, nor any employees to ask. I was soaking up the beautiful surroundings when one of the staff offered to help. He said that they don't sell smaller succulents, only one and five gallon pots. That's not going to work for us at this stage, so we thanked him and moved on to another stop. I would plan to return when looking for larger landscaping needs.

The woman on the phone was very helpful, so I put them on the list to visit. The other afternoon, Dear Hubby and I stopped by, ready to load up on plants. Unfortunately, their selection was very minimal on that day. They were expecting more in the next day or two, they said. We picked out a few, but it really wasn't what we were hoping for or needed. On the other hand, if we had been in the market for a wide variety of other plants, trees, shrubs, or flowers we would have been in luck. They have a lot of beautiful pansies right now, for example. Noting that if you are coming from west to east, their sign isn't visible, so you might need an assist from GPS. They share a driveway with an equestrian business. The banner sign announcing their nursery faces traffic coming from Simi toward Moorpark.

Our salesman Jay was very easy to deal with, was extremely patient and polite and explained everything in a manner that was easy to understand. Their workers showed up on time, were respectful of our property and our new driveway looks amazing. Joseph, one of the supervisors was terrific and made sure that everything was going as promised and promptly addressed any concerns we had. At the conclusion of work every day they cleaned up and removed all unused materials and trash. I'm already getting a lot of compliments from my neighbors Pictures coming soon.

David Rinker, our design consultant came out within a few days to review some of our ideas and suggested some of his own that we incorporated into our plan. We reviewed materials with him, and he came by a few days later to drop off some samples. Before signing, we had a few modifications to the plan that he was able to quickly modify. Throughout the whole process, he was always very communicative via text/calls even on his days off. Once I was transitioned over to Joe, our project manager, he was super friendly and walked us through the exact process. I told him that I had a birthday coming up on June 5 (this Saturday) and was hoping to have everything completed by then (a month timeline). They said I'd be cutting it close, but they ended up finishing everything a week earlier! I ended up getting a pergola that needed to be anchored to concrete footings, and ended up having System Pavers handle that for me. Joe even came back just to drill the holes for me so I can bolt down the pergola. The white glove treatment I received throughout this entire process was VERY appreciated! Rich, the territory construction manager, also became involved with the project. Given his role, I wouldn't have expected him to be so communicative with me and answer my questions. As a first time home owner, I knew nothing about the process but all three employees were very eager to walk me through every step. Couldn't be happier with System Pavers, and will be recommending them to all my neighbors, friends, and family!
