The sign is easy to see from Los Angeles Ave and their lot is all the way down past the nurseries, you'll spot the barn and their office. My rock orders were below their delivery minimums but I was able to arrange pickup. This place is noobie friendly and pro friendly. There are multiple varities of mulch that you can bag yourself. Great soil for personal garden and the price is decent as well. I prefer their soil over store bought brand. This place can get a little confusing for residential customer because there are so many trucks for commercial customer. Here is a short instruction: 1. Remember to bring your own buckets(or bags?) to fill up soils. 2. The entrance only allow right turn. If you drive from the other direction, go past the entrance a little and U-turn on the next left. 3. Drive past the train tracks, watch out for big truck(only width enough for truck) 4. This is the confusing part. Stop at the first wood shed on the right. (Not the shed with Peach Hill sign on it) 5. Go inside and there should be friendly staffs to help you out. 6. Returning customer here. I've ordered bulk delivery a number of times. Many, many, many yards of mulch (I prefer the fine variety), panda mix (their fruit tree mix) and their cactus mix. I've even requested some custom mixes which they put together for me effectively. My satisfaction has wained quite a bit over the last year. Customer service hasn't been great. Pricing has gone up. The deals they offered me in the beginning are no longer available. And I haven't loved the soil, especially the cactus mix, which they seem to "cheap out" on certain (likely more expensive) ingredients. It has poor draining and is too fine in my opinion, more reminiscent of clay when wet. I've tried to voice my concerns to sales reps at Peach Hill, but they didn't express any empathy or seem very concerned about my satisfaction. Overall, I may use them again, at least in the short term when I'm looking for other options. But I'd jump ship gladly if given another option at this point. read more

I needed approximately 5 yards of black lava rock delivered to my home in Thousand Oaks. I sent my wife over to have her check it out and two hours later everything was delivered on my driveway. I ended up needing about a half yard more and came back today to buy some more. The lady working in the office did not charge me and said it sometimes happens with delivery plus or -1/2 yard or so. I ordered and received the panda's mix today for my raised garden beds. I needed 10 cubic yards, so I was really hopeful about the quality. It did not disappoint! This is absolutely amazing soil that I never thought I could have delivered in bulk in LA. For awhile, all I could find were soil delivery places that said 80% compost, but (1) couldn't specify what type/where they got it/how it was made and (2) it always had so much top soil that I needed to heavily amend it. When redoing my beds, I was on the hunt for something much better. This panda's mix has worm castings, compost, perlite, etc. Can't wait to start planting! read more

We ordered mulch online to be delivered by Peach Hill Soils - I thought I was ordering what we needed, but they called us before delivery to make sure I would be happy with what I selected & explained some details that I hadn't thought of, resulting in a change in mulch selection & I'm MUCH happier with the end result than I would've been with what I originally selected. They're super honest, very knowledgeable about the materials & the terrain/weather of the area so that they know what works best here. This review is regarding their green waste disposal only. First time going to peach hill soils to dump some green waste. Decided since it's down the street I would go and dump the rest of a load I had instead of driving to the dump. They charge $43.50 for a 1ton load and around $25 for 1/2 ton load. My load was weighed and it came out to .14 tons. When I got the bill it was for a full ton price at $43.50. I asked the gentlemen working there why I got charged full price and he stated that per management if the load isn't close to a 1/2 ton load then they have to charge me the full ton rate! Makes absolutely no sense. Even if they would have just charged me for a 1/2ton rate (around $25) I would of been ok with that, but paying full rate for .14 ton is ridiculous. First and last time I will ever use this place for anything. read more

Robert has always been great to deal with. He recently took care of us on getting some boulders for a new pool that we built for a customer. He went out of his way to get them delivered next day. Not only were the boulders were a great value, but he delivered them in a box, which gave us time to place them. This was great because we didn't have to worry about scuffing up our customers driveway, or leaving them out in the street. He also followed up on the delivery with a call offering us his oversized tree dolly to help us move them.
