~ THE FRIENDLIEST SUPPLY YARD EVER ~ As a lady who's 5 feet tall and knows absolutely nothing about construction or landscaping materials, walking into a building supply yard alone was way outside my comfort zone, but the team at Peach Hill Soils made the experience not just easy, but actually enjoyable! I called in advance looking for a specific rock material for a landscaping project. I had no idea what it was called, but after describing it the best I could, Marcus was so kind and patient, he helped me figure out exactly what I was talking about, gave me a rough estimate on how much I'd need, and even priced it out for me over the phone. Super helpful. When I showed up in person, I was greeted with nothing but friendly smiles. Andy helped me right away and walked me over to see the material in person. Not only did he explain the differences between the options, but he even put together a small sample for me to take home. That extra step meant a lot! Placing the order later was just as easy. I called in, gave them my card info, and let them know my landscaper would be picking it up at will call - done and done. No hassle, no confusion. Whether you're a contractor or just a homeowner trying to figure things out like me, this team is awesome. They're knowledgeable, kind, and truly make you feel welcome. I'll absolutely be coming back! *TIP: If it's your first time at the location, drive all the way in past the piles of material, you'll find a small office on the right. That's where you find the staff! read more

After Home Depot's freight carrier cancelled my order for rocks due to vehicle restrictions on Spring Rd in Moorpark, my gardener recommended this local landscaping supply yard as an alternative. It was a great suggestion. Now I realize that Peach Hills Soils was the way to go from the beginning. What a nice place for quality soil, mulch, landscaping rocks and more. The sign is easy to see from Los Angeles Ave and their lot is all the way down past the nurseries, you'll spot the barn and their office. My rock orders were below their delivery minimums but I was able to arrange pickup. This place is noobie friendly and pro friendly. There are multiple varities of mulch that you can bag yourself. They have a nice selection of river pebbles and huge boulders. Walkable lot, well worth a visit. read more

So I had no idea how difficult it was to shop for rocks appropriate for a landscaping project. I found everything I needed at peach Hill soils. The guys who work there are fantastic. They even had a trailer I could rent which they loaded up. This place is truly great! read more

Awesome staff very helpful very knowledgeable nice quality of soil and rock wood chips

Wow! We went to every soil purveyor in Ventura County and Santa Barbara. This company has the best quality soils available. They run a very clean and professional business. They staff is exceptionally knowledgeable, helpful, professional, and friendly. We were so impressed after searching everywhere for what we needed to complete our project. We had our soil and bark delivered. The truck was very modern and clean. The crew were extremely professional, courteous, and helpful during the delivery process. They dumped the load exactly where we wanted it with no overspill. It was amazing. We use this company exclusively now. You just can't beat the quality that they offer. They should receive 1000 star; they are just that good! read more

Recently prepared our beds and trees for the new winter season and purchased Forest Mulch from Peach Hill. Did the work myself and took my truck there several times for a load and did at my leisure. Each time was such a pleasurable experience, I went online and checked out their website before deciding on which Mulch to go with and the website was just as helpful and informative as Robert and his staff. I am telling you these are good people ready to help you no matter how big or small your project is, smiling courteous local folks. Their products are many, their services are not only helping the community but helping the environment. Taking in green waste and making environmentally friendly landscape products. I also purchased firewood this season from them and the wood was perfectly seasoned and sized, reasonably priced and delivered on time with a smile. I am all for supporting local businesses operated by local people and Peach Hill wins in both departments. Check their website out and learn more about them, their products are wonderful and you will not be disappointed in their services. Bravo Peach Hill, well done. Ciao read more

Great soil for personal garden and the price is decent as well. I prefer their soil over store bought brand. This place can get a little confusing for residential customer because there are so many trucks for commercial customer. Here is a short instruction: 1. Remember to bring your own buckets(or bags?) to fill up soils. 2. The entrance only allow right turn. If you drive from the other direction, go past the entrance a little and U-turn on the next left. 3. Drive past the train tracks, watch out for big truck(only width enough for truck) 4. This is the confusing part. Stop at the first wood shed on the right. (Not the shed with Peach Hill sign on it) 5. Go inside and there should be friendly staffs to help you out. 6. Dig your own soil and pay the staff read more

Peach Hill Soils - Panda Mix Soil - Building Supplies Near Me - Moorpark, California

Service was great as they were able to deliver the day I ordered. The driver was professional and very cautious dumping the garden soil to make sure to place it where I wanted. He was also observant that the raising of the bed didn't harm anything which made for a pleasant experience. Soil looks rich and healthy, will have to wait for the spring planting to judge. Come on rain!! read more

Returning customer here. I've ordered bulk delivery a number of times. Many, many, many yards of mulch (I prefer the fine variety), panda mix (their fruit tree mix) and their cactus mix. I've even requested some custom mixes which they put together for me effectively. My satisfaction has wained quite a bit over the last year. Customer service hasn't been great. Pricing has gone up. The deals they offered me in the beginning are no longer available. And I haven't loved the soil, especially the cactus mix, which they seem to "cheap out" on certain (likely more expensive) ingredients. It has poor draining and is too fine in my opinion, more reminiscent of clay when wet. I've tried to voice my concerns to sales reps at Peach Hill, but they didn't express any empathy or seem very concerned about my satisfaction. Overall, I may use them again, at least in the short term when I'm looking for other options. But I'd jump ship gladly if given another option at this point. read more

I have bought garden soil from Peach Hill numerous times for my backyard garden. Bruno went out of his way to get me a quick delivery, his communication was excellent, and the quality of the soil is amazing. Panda Garden Mix is expensive, but worth the money. I needed approximately 5 yards of black lava rock delivered to my home in Thousand Oaks. I sent my wife over to have her check it out and two hours later everything was delivered on my driveway. I ended up needing about a half yard more and came back today to buy some more. The lady working in the office did not charge me and said it sometimes happens with delivery plus or -1/2 yard or so. No charge. Nothing but good things to say about this place! read more

Robert, Alex and rest of team is awesome. This place is the greatest find for landscaping soils, mulches, etc. We purchased Panda mix and some coco coir for our garden and our neighbors always ask where we got our forest mulch for general landscaping. We also get our worm castings here & you can also get some very healthy red wiggler worms. Crushed granite, a variety of stones, firewood, etc. are also available. We just line truck with tarp & get loaded up, but this place also delivers. Another poster here put some great tips to enhance your experience, so check those out before going! read more

Good prices, helpful on site, no one answers the phone though when you need to communicate.

After a brief discussion with Robert by phone about our aquarium rock needs, he took the time to explain available material, pricing, and even pre-alerted staff of our arrival. Upon arrival, we were warmly greeted by Carlos who immediately toured the rock yard and let us loose to explore and make key selections. Kudos to Robert, Carlos and staff. Honest business, straight-forward pricing and high integrity. Thank you for an enjoyable rock hunting experience on Sat Jan 25, 2020 !!! read more

I ordered and received the panda's mix today for my raised garden beds. I needed 10 cubic yards, so I was really hopeful about the quality. It did not disappoint! This is absolutely amazing soil that I never thought I could have delivered in bulk in LA. For awhile, all I could find were soil delivery places that said 80% compost, but (1) couldn't specify what type/where they got it/how it was made and (2) it always had so much top soil that I needed to heavily amend it. When redoing my beds, I was on the hunt for something much better. This panda's mix has worm castings, compost, perlite, etc. Can't wait to start planting! read more

Very helpful folks, and not just soil The rocks selection is excellent. The pricing certainly better than "in town." Selecting a few prime candidates for the front yard as we snuff out grass and grow natives is made easy by some of the spectacular colors provided by boulders they stock. Going back for more !! Says it all right there !! read more

Great service, good price. Easy to navigate the property and workers are very helpful.

We ordered mulch online to be delivered by Peach Hill Soils - I thought I was ordering what we needed, but they called us before delivery to make sure I would be happy with what I selected & explained some details that I hadn't thought of, resulting in a change in mulch selection & I'm MUCH happier with the end result than I would've been with what I originally selected. They're super honest, very knowledgeable about the materials & the terrain/weather of the area so that they know what works best here. The quality of the mulch delivered was better than what we previously got at Home Depot for use in a different area, the HD mulch ended up being contaminated with mushroom spores that we haven't been able to get rid of - but the Peach Hill mulch was clean, smelled fresh & we haven't seen a single mushroom, absolutely 5 stars! read more

This review is regarding their green waste disposal only. First time going to peach hill soils to dump some green waste. Decided since it's down the street I would go and dump the rest of a load I had instead of driving to the dump. They charge $43.50 for a 1ton load and around $25 for 1/2 ton load. My load was weighed and it came out to .14 tons. When I got the bill it was for a full ton price at $43.50. I asked the gentlemen working there why I got charged full price and he stated that per management if the load isn't close to a 1/2 ton load then they have to charge me the full ton rate! Makes absolutely no sense. Even if they would have just charged me for a 1/2ton rate (around $25) I would of been ok with that, but paying full rate for .14 ton is ridiculous. First and last time I will ever use this place for anything. read more
