I live in Oxnard, and have several choices for recycling there... but I choose Camarillo Recycling! The facility is clean and well ran. There is plenty of parking. The staff is top notch. They are efficient and friendly. I think the amount they pay for aluminum, plastic and glass here are the best in the area. I'm not sure if the do other recycling materials (i.e. copper, scrap metal) because I don't need those services. But if they do, I'm sure you'd get the best prices on those too. They also have a bathroom available to customers for hand washing after you drop your recycling. read more

Went on a Friday around 10am. - Apple/Google maps directions were correct. - Found the parking lot easily. - 1 person in front me and couple inside the warehouse. - The guy bringing the bins was nice, straightforward. - I put my recycling in the bins and the guy took them in to weigh, someone was taking notes of the weight. - Got in line, someone added everything up, then I was done. RASIST CUSTOMER SERVICE. BEWARE!!!!! First time here today to recycle pulled up to ask how it worked. Parked here at the cones where another had been parked. See photo. The man in the yellow vest photo said to me you need to park in a stale this isn't Mexico. I said excuse me. He said this is America not Mexico go park. I said your comment was very rude. I later let the management know what he said. The man laughed didn't seem to care. But said he would talk to him as I left other cars we're pulling up and parking in that same are. I am noticing that others (Keyon A. for example) have also come to the point of exhaustion dealing with grocery store parking lot rePlanet recycling centers. The location near me consistently cannot accommodate either plastic or aluminum deposits due to their utter inability to monitor the capacity of the deposits and prepare to assure levels are near full. Customers are completely at the mercy of the single individual that runs each micro location and most of these team members don't seem to understand customer service at all. At Camarillo Recycling this has never been a concern for me! The customer bins are very large so you dump recyclables in, they weigh them, hand you a ticket with weight totals and the desk provides you cash on the spot. Their process is as streamlined as it can get, therefore I recommend this location to those in the area. read more

By my calculations, they pay about 40% of the CRV. That's based on 5 trash cans full of glass and 3 black garbage bags full of plastic. I'll save myself all that storage space and put this stuff in my recycling bin. Hopefully, the city gets a better deal. read more

I am upset that they told me my "steel" tracks were not aluminum when in fact they were aluminum. I had a bunch of steel and two pieces that were aluminum. The guys working there took advantage of the fact that I didn't know which was which. But my husband did in fact tell me which of the pieces were aluminum after I had already left. So I got taken for a ride. So they took the all the pieces and I got nothing. I understand you don't take steel but the aluminum was totally worth money! read more

This place has the best customer service and convenience. Employees are willing to help you with your recycle items and they really hustle to get you out quickly. If you go on a Saturday it can get a bit busy. If you are on a tight schedule and are uncomfortable waiting a few minutes, you might consider picking a different day. I've been many times on a Saturday and it is no problem for me. I've recycled plastic and glass bottles and aluminum cans all at a fair price. This is the best place in the county to recycle. I love this recycling center! It is fast, and the employees are very friendly. Last month I went to the recycling center with quite a few bags to recycle. Mostly because I just have not had a chance to go. When I pulled up, an employee by the name of Chris came straight to my truck as I parked. As soon as I stepped out of my truck, he was there helping to take my bags. Before I knew it, came two other employees by the name of Alex and Angel to help. I thought this is customer service! This was the BEST experience I have had recycling. I usually go to the one off Rose for convenience sake, but I chose to drive a little bit out of the way after the other reviews and they were soooooo right. I followed the tip and pre-sorted everything. A guy came to my car to help me take the bags out of my trunk and then helped me put them into the bins. The bins are by far heavy duty and industrial (not like the rickety, DIY baskets). They put everything on a scale and another person marks the items, gives the receipt to the office man, he tallies it up and I was in and out with my money in 5 minutes. I drive the extra 15 minutes from Newbury Park to come here when I live right across the street from Ralph's with one of those rePlanet DIY recycling centers and the lazy employee on duty who would rather watch you deposit one agonizing bottle/can after another instead of just doing their job and weighing it in the containers. That run-on sentence being said, I am in and out of Camarillo Recycling within 20 minutes on a Saturday, probably their busiest day--and in even less time during the week.
