Went to Sit N Sleep and used their automated bed selector on the advice of our sales person. The data output gave us 4 mattress choices based on our needs and wants. $3000 later we had this new mattress delivered. 4 months later both my husband and I were having BACK ISSUES. We called the store and they sent someone to our house to determine what was going on. The mattress was SAGGING. A letter came in the mail stating this was normal wear and tear. How???? 1 year later I called again. The sagging was visible. Again they came out and I received the same letter. Sit N Sleep HAD NO INTEREST IN MAKING THIS RIGHT. We are now stuck with a $3000 mattress that is horrible. This company has HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. BUYER BEWARE!!!! read more

Had the most disappointing experience with this business at the Brea location. The delivery was a disaster and they were a no show... they called the wrong number (even though they had the right one on file) and I never got their messages .. after waiting from 12-6:15 I gave up .. called the store on 4/6/17 at 5:30 and was transferred 4 times as soon as she hears "delivery" question .. she was so rude and her name was Sayramura ? .. I had to lecture her and told her to stop transferring me without asking me about my issue and that's it's rude... next day, customer service was clueless and making excuses ... I canceled my order .. going to Macy's .. what a lousy establishment they can't even deliver a bed and 2 pillows without messing up. read more

I've always dreaded going to a mattress place because I've been treated like a broke college student many times before (not that I'm not one but at least give me the benefit of the doubt.. lol). But the Sunday morning that I came to this branch with my boyfriend we literally just rolled out of bed and wanted to get some food from the Trader Joes next door. I convinced my boyfriend we should just come in and take a look-see since the store was empty. We've been sleeping on a hand-me-down mattress I got from my mom when I moved out and it's been killing our back and neck. Forward to two hours later - we came out of the store with the best mattress within our price range that I could ever imagined. The original price was $1800 but with a little magic Dave was able to reduce the price down a bit for us. Also, any accessories we wanted to purchase were 10% off. So we got ourselves some nice pillows, a cover for our new bed and a body pillow for myself. All the while Dave was treating with such enthusiasm about everything and anything we wanted to know about mattresses. I decided I needed a new mattress; after all, the one I had was 15 years old!! I'd heard the clever ads on the radio for Sit 'n Sleep for years so I went to the Brea store on the Labor Day weekend. I had already gone online and taken their mattress quiz so I had an idea what I wanted. Aaron greeted me quickly and we found the Giana mattress that was recommended, I laid on it and quickly decided I'd take it. I also needed a headboard so we looked at different types and found the one I wanted. It has storage drawers underneath and that's exactly what I need! It was delivered and assembled last weekend and looks great! It also is comfortable to sleep on! There was a crack in one of the drawers and it was replaced quickly. I didn't purchase a mattress here but my experience dealing with a super knowledgeable employee that really knew her stuff! I'm in the market for a new bed, I haven't had a new bed since I was kid so fast forward 10 years (now I'm 23 and have health issues) so I'm looking for something that can help my spine since I have issues with my spine as well. What I liked about Sit 'n Sleep was the minute my mom and I walked in we were greeted immediately! I forgot the employees name but she really knew her stuff and immediately took me to different mattresses that could help me, everything I laid on felt like HEAVEN!! But then again when you haven't had a new bed in years everything will feel good LOL! I did find a great mattress that was just perfect for me, except the fact that they don't have any stores in Nevada which won't help me :( However, she did write down two stores in Nevada that could help us out! This is my first time shopping for a mattress at Sit N Sleep, and the experience was nothing less than extraordinary. As soon as I walked in I was greeted by a pleasant associate, I told her what I was looking for and then walked me to a Star Trek esque sleeping bed, where a Hal 9000 computer analyzed every inch of me and my pressure points as it felt on the bed, I felt so pseudo violated!!! lol The store Manager Nidal helped me with the rest of the transaction and showed me all the different types of mattresses that pertained to my computer reading which was blue. After carefully testing out different beds I found "The One" a Simmons World Class Beautyrest, once I slept on it....................OMG............I felt like I was being cradled by cherubs on a cloud floating on air. In store: My fiancé and I went into the Brea store excited to find our mattress. Upon arrival, we were greeted and immediately asked what we were in for. The salesman was friendly up until he heard our budget of around $1000. He showed us only 2 options which seemed crazy considering how many mattresses are in there. We twisted his arm into showing us one more mattress. So in total we had 3 options. We went with one and throughout the rest of the process our salesman was very cold with us. Not as warm and friendly as he was up front upon greeting. I get it that our budget does keep us limited but it just seemed weird how his vibe changed once he heard what we wanted. He made us feel like we were wasting his time. Delivery: I received a phone call and email late the night before our delivery date with our 3 hour window which didn't work for us. I immediately called them back and asked if there was any wiggle room to which they replied no. Wish our salesman would have told us there was no adjustment to times of delivery when we purchased rather than us have to scramble and find someone to let the delivery guys in. Overall: I'd recommend to check other places. We settled with sit n sleep and I wish we would have gone somewhere else. read more

First, let me say this is not about being treated rudely or anything like that. These people are very friendly- as they should be. This is about my wife and I going through a huge waste of time with Sit and Sleep to deal with a warranty issue. We spent around $3000 about 21/2 years ago buying beds for a second home and one for our main residence. That one was a pillow top mattress and box springs. The price was ok. However, within a year the mattress became permanently depressed where I sleep, by 11/2- to 2 inches. The sensation is like being rolled off the bed each night. One of the reasons we bought from SS was the warranty. So, SS's independent inspector came out, inspected, authorized it to be returned under warranty. So far so good. We were told that any stains would void the warranty. The inspector saw no stains, and we also again inspect and see no stains (its not like either of us are bed wetters lol). So then we go into SS and order a different mattress and pay the $300 plus difference given the credit we were told we would receive. So today, SS's truck comes by to pick up the mattress. These guys lift the mattress over to the window and begin examining the material inch by inch until they find a minor discoloration that wasnt even visible under normal light. They dramatically announce that they cannot take the mattress as State law precludes them handling a "soiled mattress." That may very well be true. However, there was nothing about this minor mark they worked so hard to find that suggested in any way that the mattress was "soiled." This was the lamest excuse ever for what seemed like them simply not wanting to engage in the hard work of carrying a heavy mattress to their truck, and beyond that, for SS to avoid its warranty promise to good customers. The sad thing is, we figured we just made a bad choice in the type of bed we bought. It wasn't until speaking to the sales people who suggested making a warranty claim that we decided to even bother with it. We probably would have just bought another bed from them. Now we will still buy another bed- only from Costco- just others have suggested. Maybe your experience will be better. Just beware of the warranty. read more

My boyfriend had already went in with wanting to purchase a TempurPedic and one of the floor salesmen (can not remember his name) had started to help us, told us all of our options, and was NEVER pushy. Sit 'n sleep is the place to go for bed replacement or addition. After I did their special sleep test to see which firmness my body required, Michael graciously let me test many beds. He let me rest, going from side to side stomach to back, on several beds to see which one I preferred. I was not even sure which size I wanted to downsize from Eastern king. It was a hard decision as I Was about to take a nap On a Queen size bed but I had to get up to talk business. Store and restrooms are clean and comfortable. Michael explained the pricing, warrantees, delivery dates, pick up dates, the entire package. I walked out of there a happy shopper. The salesman David Mackey was great when we purchased the items and spent over 5,000 but when the delivery showed up, the mattress was not on a box as requested due to moving out of state, the plastic has holes so dirt will get in the mattress on the moving truck and we are missing 3 items. Neither David or Kevin at customer service can help us. So what happened to the missing items? Did the delivery guys sell them or give them to someone else. Why were the items not counted by the delivery guys. Not happy and would not recommend. Our daughter also told us they purchased from sit and Sleep and the mattress was sent to their new house out of state. David told us that couldn't be done. read more

I always had a feeling my body did not like the feel of the bed that we had for quite some time now. However, what felt okay when I was 25, definitely is not okay now at 30. I've felt restless for months and the only time I slept well was when intoxicated, but then sleeping on a park bench would have probably sufficed. My wife and I walked into Sit n Sleep to pass some time while we were in the neighborhood. At first we were the only ones there. I was expecting a sales person to latch onto us at first site, but we were greeted with a cheerly "hello, let me know if we could help you in anyway!" So we walked around, laid on some mattresses, just feeling our way around. 20 minutes later, Dave came by and answered all of our questions we could ever want to know about mattresses. Absolutely no pressure to buy a particular brand or model, just guiding us as we made our own conscious decisions. It was a rare experience, a breath of fresh air. I'd done some research as to prices and what not so I knew where our budget would be for the bed we wanted. Dave got us that price and then some! Talking with him felt like meeting with an old friend over coffee. On a side note, not even nearly worth deducting a star from this review... I feel the delivery guys should have booties, or take off their shoes (or at least offer to) when they are delivering the mattress. Overall, they were very nice, but the created quite a mess tracking in debris from outside.
