Your Texas Patio - Beatiful project in memorial!

From top to bottom, these guys are amazing…read more I'd received a pretty obnoxious quote for a covered patio and kitchen so did a little bit of price shopping. Of the 6 quotes I got, Jacob at Your Texas Patio blew them all away (he beat the obnoxious one by nearly $50,000 for basically the exact same project). I generally don't go for the cheapest option, but after the initial conversations he had me convinced that he knew what he was doing. So, I dove right in. As soon as they had the go ahead, work was underway. Angel led the way on the construction end and was out there every day (often including the weekends) doing everything from tearing out the side of the house to connect the structure, putting down posts, framing the roof, painting, etc. A real construction stud. In no time the project was complete and I'm extremely happy with the finished project (which beat our target date by about 2 weeks). Sure, there were some snags along the way. I had some plumbing issues that needed to be addressed (1960s house with original sewage lines), a sprinkler than was inadvertently damaged and the need to run a gas line from the other side of the house. Jacob fixed anything that needed to be fixed immediately, and if there was something outside the scope of the project he had someone out there for me to consult with on the same day (I couldn't even get my longtime plumber or audio guys out within two weeks). If I had a tweak to design or a minor addition, it was done. If I had questions on the project at 11pm after a few whiskeys or on a weekend at 7am on my way to a soccer game, it was answered. Sure, he looks like a kid, but he knows what he's doing. I'll be using them on my next projects and you probably should, too.

The meeting went well and the person that showed up at my house was nice and polite. The problem was that I felt as if I had to chase the person in order to get my bid. They stated that they had to go out of town and I would get the bid when they returned. So I received the bid 7 days after my appointment and 5 days after all the other bids. The price of the concrete was a fair price but I decided to go with another company because of the time frame I needed. Perhaps next project I can use this company.

I've called them numerous times along the way checking to make sure the on track finally today. They told me that they hadn't even started making the cabinets that they were the specific part and they just got the part in and now the cabinets won't be produced for another month. No apology no should've told were nothing I would never use these people again.

Prosource is great until something goes wrong. I ordered a 9' x 12' rug that was to be made from a…read morecarpet by serging the perimeter so that the edges are finished. Well, the salesperson forgot to add the serging part so when it was delivered to my house, it was just a raw piece of carpet. The salesperson admitted it was her mistake and apologized but that was it. I had to find a company to do the serg, arrange to have the carpet shipped to the serging company, then pay to have it re-delivered to my house. So, the carpet manufacturer made money, Prosource made money, the salesperson probably got a little commission but I had to pay an additional $321 in delivery charges and it took another 3 weeks to get it done. All I asked for was 10% off the order amount (about $125) to cover some of the delivery charges. The salesperson stopped responding. That's less than excellent customer service.
