First time ordering from this pizza place as quite a few people from my husband's work said it was good. We were a little surprised by the cut of the pizza into strips and squares but it was a nice surprise as it kind of reminded us of the late 80s early 90s vibe. We got a royal feast pizza and the chicken chef salad for pick up. The pizza was good with alot of toppings, good amount of sauce, good flavor and it holds up well for leftovers the next day. We came in for a bite after driving most of the day . We ate always looking for good pizza just like our former state of NY. We found a pretty good slice, we ordered a pie with garlic powder . Usually it's on the table but they do it for you. Pizza was very good and had a tasty sauce and this crust . Our waitress was great and the ambiance of the restaurant was cozy . A bit dark but cozy. Service is always great but $25 for a pizza is a lot. Plain cheese starts at $22.50 and pizzas are only 14 inches. Also they always overcook it and use a conveyer oven like 'fast food' pizza. Bottom was all crunchy, black, and full of air pockets . Not as good as it used to be. The place is also right out of the 70's. A major dining room overhaul in decor is needed. read more

Excellent calzone! The crust was not overly thick, as most restaurants tend to make them. Seasoned and filled terrifically. Still thinking about the immaculate flavor, even long after the fact. The atmosphere of the interior is something that I won't forget. Built in the 1960's, its vintage style has been maintained beautifully! I've been going to Sir Pizza for over 40 years; met my wonderful husband at the East Main location 44 years ago, so Sir Pizza holds a special place in my heart! However, I'm sad to say that the culinary quality has diminished, while Sir Pizza's prices have soared! At best, if the food was its once-phenomenal self, I'd still only eat here rarely as the prices are so high. Many of the reviews here are about the pizza specifically, and I think many are expecting "traditional" pizza, which is what sets SP apart from the rest. In saying that, the ingredient quality if the pizza isn't the same. We either order Farmers Almanac or Royal Feast. The wings are imho, awful. Greasy, gloppy and inedible. Did I mention the pricing? Fun fact as I depart-the phone number of my in-laws was one digit different that Sir Pizza East Main's number. My father-in-law grew weary of taking the calls and explaining. One thing we miss about living in Indiana, is the pizza. Seriously. Pizza King Pizza is where it's at. Recently, we visited family near Nashville, and were told of this Sir Pizza. Holy crap, it's almost identical to the pizza we've so dearly missed. We ordered take out so I can't say much about dining in. But the fella on the phone was very friendly, our order was ready in about 15 minutes, and the food was amazing! I hear they have a buffet, as well, which sounds intriguing. The pizza is the square cut pieces we love and tasted amazing! We ordered a 14 inch pepperoni and an 8 inch cheese-less pineapple, ham, banana pepper pizza for me. It was perfect!! I do wish they had the breadsticks that are like the ones we've missed from our Indiana days, but I can't fault them for that. Hands down this is the best pizza ever!! I've been eating here for as long as I can remember. My parents brought me here as a very young child. The building is old and parking is limited BUT the pizza is NEVER a disappointment. Tuesday night has the special of but one pizza at regular price get a second for $2; Monday and Wednesday evening has buffet which includes salad and pasta. During the weekdays they have buffet also during lunch. I will have to admit that we only go to this Main St location as the one on Memorial wasn't near as good. Main St. location is the original location in Murfreesboro and still the best one. Cooks and staff have a nostalgic appearance and they are extra friendly. 3/2/2018 visit was amazing as usual. Tried something different this time, Calzone. You get 3 toppings for $9. It was over the top good. I haven't had a calzone that good in probably 25 years. It was my first time trying it there. You can't go wrong with a Kings feast pizza, Royal feast pizza or a Calzone. The salad bar is not much but I don't go to pizza restaurants to eat salad. Anyway, great meal as always!! read more

Wow. Step back into 1976 and enjoy a great pizza. Place is somewhat tired looking mainly the carpet but the ambience is all 1970s with true pizza making expertise. Don't hesitate to stop in. The pizza sauce is special and really helps make it a top 20 pies I've ever had. read more

This place has been here since 1966 so keep that in mind. The fact that it is an older establishment is what makes it so charming and cozy. It's a fun atmosphere with a "stranger things" vibe. The Pizza is amazing! I've lived in Murfreesboro my whole life and tried Sir Pizza for the first time. We went to the location on Main Street in Murfreesboro. It is so cozy and warm inside! You really do feel like you're in an old castle My seven year old really enjoyed it. She ate almost a whole small pizza by herself! Me and my husband have been going to the sir pizza on memorial for 20 years and my ladies always take care of me but these last few months I have been going have been terrible they never have beer that's on the menu there always out of lettuce or something else on the menu the employees stay in the back so you have to say hello just to get some attention there dinning room stays dirty. The lettuce taste like dirt the pizzas have no toppings even though your paying 30 dollars for a pizza. I don't know if this place got new management or new owners but this place is going down hill I don't think I'll ever come back I don't recommend this restaurant to anyone get a manager that cares about the family owned business like your east main location. read more

This review is on the lunch buffet. Was not impressed at all. They advertize soup, pasta and salad bar along with the pizza. Well the pizza choices were slim, just two different types. NO PASTA AND NO SOUP. Salad bar was good though. For the price I should have stayed on campus and gone to one of the cafeterias. I do not reccomend the buffet at all especially when they charge you for soup and pasta and dont deliver. Hopefully there regular pizzas are better. read more

Pretty disappointed. We were looking for some good local pizza delivery other than ordering Papa John's. Unfortunately Sir Pizza isn't it. They are quite expensive, $40 for two pies, delivered, with a $4 tip. The quality didn't even come close to the price. The dough was soft and undercooked and the toppings were subpar. I've lived in Murfreesboro for 12 years, and I've never been impressed with the quality of food. I've eaten at Sir Pizza 2 times and won't again. On top of that, I now live close by to one of the establishments and when I'm near the restaurant I have heard any number of weird things coming from there but today there was screaming from the back, presumably a manager SCREAMING at one of her employees at full blast. I understand being reprimanded, but it left a terrible taste in my mouth. It's disturbing to hear when casually walking by, and concerning for safety. This isn't the first time something like this has been overheard. I will support any other local establishment any day over them, especially after what I heard. Deeply unimpressed. read more

1st visit to any location. I understand this is the original. An Elite gave it 5 stars so, what-the-heck. Since my kid really digs pizza it won't be a total loss. Atmo pretty retro. Limited menu touts claim of serving since '66. Ordered the Queen's Feast medium. Canned mushrooms, canned olives and frozen green pepper pieces. This may pass for quickie pizza or maybe people come here for the buffet (quantity) but overall it's not far removed from frozen food section pizza in the grocery store. Overall a decent pizza place. Theirs is a bit different, the pizza is thin crust, with small topping over the whole pizza to the very edge...which is I guess their trademark. I've been here a couple times and wouldn't mind coming back again, I like the change from the 'big chains'.
