Calzone pepperoni and Sausage and Pepperoni Calzone

BLUF--it is a small, family owned business and they are there working. I'm sure that I never saw Sami take a break from making pizza and calzones the entire time. It is all on him. It does feel rather warm during summer because of the oven but they have fans to try to circulate the air which was on 61 degrees. Nothing fancy about the interior or exterior. The buffet had 3-4 pizzas at a time but when it's is busy I think it is hard forSami to keep up for the buffet and individual orders. I waited quite a while for my calzone and it was very busy Saturday early evening. It wasn't bad but it wasn't a favorite for me or my kids. They had the buffet along with my husband. I didn't like the idea of having to touch the trash can (street type) to throw away plates for my kid. Calzone wasn't bad but I would prefer to not have the seasoning on top and a tad softer crust. They certainly have a fairly good customer base though because it was continuous traffic in and out.

Family friendly , great food, comfortable

The best brick oven pizza in town! We're from New Jersey and we always look for a pizza that reminds us of home. I'd say this is 100% self serving. Be prepared to pick a seat, grab a plate , serve yourself and help clean up. It's part of the reason I really enjoy the place. It's okay to pitch in and be considerate of others. The pizza was delicious and always fresh and replaced with a bubly, steaming fresh pie. The meatballs and spaghetti were just like home cooked. The place is warm , family friendly and plays jazz music.

They've been open 7 years and I've always wanted to, (but sorry to myself i found out)I have never been until tonight. My husband and I went tonight and let me tell you, we did not leave hungry at all! Everything up there was absolutely delicious, from the pizza to the salad bar to the meatballs!!! The crust was a delicious thin, crusty piece of just yumminess. The young lady was super sweet and the owner was nice as can be. Everything was fresh, from dough to cucumbers. It was a small, quiet atmosphere so you could enjoy it. It was clean, and the price was most definitely worth every penny! If you haven't been, I recommend trying it at least once, but I know you will be back just like we will be!

My husband and I tried Sami's brick oven pizzeria for the first time today. So happy we did.! From the moment we entered the restaurant we were made to feel very welcome. We both had the buffet and the food was amazing all the quality ingredients, especially in the pizza fresh basil, amazing cheeses, and sauces to tantalize your taste buds. Will definitely be back. Thank you for the hospitality.

Ok. Not cooked thoroughly. Soft crust. Still doughy. Good ingredients, but definitely more of a buffet style than a high quality pizza.

Dined in and waited over an hour for a pizza. The restaurant wasn't even busy. Ended up leaving due to the wait.

I'm never expecting a five-star meal from a buffet, but for the price, I thought it was a good value. I went on a Friday for steak and seafood night, then came back the following Sunday morning for breakfast. Dinner was under $25 and breakfast was under $20, including a drink both times. It's a Southern comfort food buffet with plenty of room and seating, though there aren't any booths. Service was very good on both visits! The good: Plenty of dinner options! As you can see, I grabbed several plates with different proteins: baked chicken, fried chicken, fried fish, meatloaf, ribs, frog legs, shrimp, and more. Plenty of sides, too--turnip greens, collard greens, mac and cheese, mashed potatoes and gravy, green beans, etc. There's also a salad bar and soup selection. Most of what I tried was good when fresh. The waitresses on both visits were amazing! Friendly, attentive, and always keeping our drinks topped off. The bad: Some food had been sitting long enough to get cold or dry, including some hard cornbread. I waited for fresh trays on a few items, and from what I saw, they replaced the food pretty often. Some batches of fried shrimp and gator bites were very salty, while others weren't. Consistency could definitely be better. Honestly, if I'm hungry and don't know exactly what I want, I'd stop by again for an affordable buffet. Worth it, imo, even if I have to wait for a few fresh items!

Two things highlight this review. First, this is the restaurant on Memorial Blvd, and it has been…read morecompletely revamped. There is another Clay pit on NW Broad, by the same family, but completely different. This restaurant on Memorial specializes in Street Food! Street Food? Yes, Indian Street Food. Not only has the menu and dining concept changed, they remodeled the inside. Since Street Food in an Indian restaurant was new to me, I am going to focus my review on the food. Go there. We went for my wife's birthday and our entire party was happy. She ordered the Poutine. Wait, what?! Isn't poutine a CANADIAN traditional dish. Yes, but this was a great fusion food. She considers herself a poutine fancier. And, she loved it. Traditional poutine is an order of French Fries, with cheese curds and brown gravy. This was like it, but different. The first thing she noticed was that the fries themselves were seasoned with Tika seasoning, and so was the entire dish. There was enough to feed two, and she totally enjoyed it. They used paneer instead of cheese and she lauded it as wonderful. My youngest adult son got the Clay Pit Special Bhaji Pav. Don't worry neither he or I ever heard of it, but based on the server's recommendation and his gastronomic curiosity, he went for it. It is traditional in Mumbai (I just researched it to figure out what it is) Quoting a website, "The recipe is an amalgamation of vegetables spiced with a unique blend of spices known as pav bhaji masala and served with a soft bread roll aka pav." It was served with chopped red onion. He hates red onion and just left it out. Peas, potato and wonderful unique spices make up this stew like dish, served with traditional bread. I also took the server's recommendation in blind trust for my selection, Samosa Chaat. Just looking at the portion size that was presented, I proclaimed that this was a dish for a family of four. I was not far off as we took more than half of it home. Again, I have to turn to the internet to find out exactly what was in this wonderful dish. Again, the internet comes to my rescue. "Chaat is a broad term used for all Indian street food. It's mostly spicy, tangy and topped with yogurt and chutneys. ..has layers of chickpea curry and crunchy samosa". Sure. What is Samosa? "Samosas are savory pastries served as a snack or as appetizers. They are stuffed with lightly spiced potato and deep-fried until crispy and golden." Oh. This dish had them under the stew, not separate and I loved it. Our other two diners were not as adventurous. The both ordered wraps, one was Schezwan Paneer and Chicken creation. Yes, Schezwan, the food from China is incorporated here. Evidently, there is a lot of cross over between Chinese and Indian food. Second of the wraps ordered was the Chicken Egg. So if you are adventurous, go there. If you are not, go there anyway. You can enjoy "safer" wraps, rice or noodle dishes, wings, and one I've not heard of yet - Chinese Curry. I'll be back. It is walking distance. You get in a car and drive here.

Delicious delicious delicious! Everything by here is so tasty. The service is good and it's a cute…read moreplace for a casual date.

A Cut Above the Monday Blues…read more The Chop House has quickly become a go-to family favorite since my folks moved to Murfreesboro, whether I'm in town visiting or they're dining on their own. The food and service consistently hit the mark, and our latest visit was no exception. I was surprised by how bustling it was for a Monday night--the place was absolutely packed! There was a party of 30 near us, plus a group of 12 right next to our table celebrating a 2-year-old's birthday. It was great seeing everyone having such a special celebration, and despite how busy the team was, we were seated and served in a very reasonable timeframe. My mother made a reservation in advance, and the team graciously accommodated her request for a booth to help with her back issues. They are always wonderfully welcoming to her 5-pound service dog, who sits quietly right beside her. Everyone--from the staff to the fellow diners--was warm and friendly, which makes the whole atmosphere even better. I usually go for the prime rib sandwich, but this time I opted for the full prime rib dinner with soup and a baked potato. It certainly did not disappoint, though it was so generous I couldn't even finish it all. As one of the nicer spots in Murfreesboro, it's a wonderful choice if you're looking to celebrate a special occasion--or just enjoy a top-tier meal.

The food was perfect and really not even that expensive compared to my home town. I started with a nice Cabernet. I had two in fact. I did not know that Tennessee has an extra tax (LBD - 15%) on alcohol sold by the glass! I thought Republicans were all about low taxes. I also enjoyed an absolutely delicious shrimp bisque. It was really good (and only $6 for a bowl). It was smooth and flavorful. In my neighborhood that would cost $15. My entree was a daily special, yellowfin tuna. It was nicely seared on the outside and sushi grade on the inside. I could really taste the healthy Omega 3's. The fish was served on a nicely flavored bed of long grain rice. A wonderful mango salsa topped the fish. The accompanying broccoli was perfectly steamed. This was only $26. I shall return again to this great place.
