    Gluten free bezerker

Amazing people, pizza, pool table and now Pinball! Love the gluten free bezerker. It's a full size pizza and they use quality goat cheese and outstanding meats. Take the kids or go on a date night... Excellent beer selection and the staff and service are the best!

Some of my favorite pizza and so happy they are in chapel hill now as well as Spring Hill! The pizza is a little on the pricier side but you get what you pay for and I've never been disappointed. Just wish they had longer hours! Also, absolutely love the vegetarian options!!

First time here and pizza was burnt and hard and chewy. I doubt I will be back. Plus $30 for a pizza is crazy. And yes I boxed it up to give to my daughter in law. She likes thin crust on the burnt side.

Staff in action. Everyone seemed to enjoy their job

The jalapeño calzone is off the charts good. The people are wonderful and the beers on tap are solid.

Best pizza around by far- flokies fowl is incredible! White sauce so tasty. The Berserker is great too for the meat lovers.

The Restaurant at Henry Horton - Duck River Dumpling appetizer

It had been years since my last visit, so when I heard there were some changes, I decided to stop…read moreby--and changes there were, all for the better! They're remodeling everything, including the restaurant, which now looks beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean. Every item on the menu was appealing, and what we ordered was absolutely delicious. I love trying dishes you don't usually find elsewhere, so my daughter and I took a chance--and we're so glad we did. We started with the Duck River Dumpling (you can see the full description in the menu photos I took from their website). I highly recommend them--they're truly scrumptious! The house-made strawberry pepper jelly was so good, I actually asked if I could buy some to take home. I was co-hosting a baby shower for my daughter in a few days, and I thought it would be perfect served over cream cheese. It ended up being a huge hit--I made sure to give all the credit to the chef and encouraged our guests to visit the restaurant themselves. I even heard other customers loved it so much that the chef might start making extra to sell on-site. We also ordered the Pepper Jelly Crunch hamburger, which was just as tasty. Despite sharing both the appetizer and entrée, we left more than satisfied--definitely not hungry! We can't wait to go back. We live about 30 miles away, but we'll make a point to stop in whenever we're in the area. I should also mention they're building a five-star hotel, and there's a fantastic exhibition space showcasing the local Duck River area. Once everything's complete, I can see people traveling from all over to visit the state park. In the meantime, locals and nearby visitors should absolutely make time to dine here whenever possible. If I lived closer, this would definitely be my go-to spot for meeting friends--the bar area is really nice, too. Oh, and one more thing: my daughter loves flavored teas but didn't see any on the menu. She asked our waitress if she could possibly get one, and she kindly offered to whip one up herself. It was Peach flavored, and it was so good that my daughter asked for a refill! One more thing. We asked if the fries were made in-house. They were not, but they were different and some of the best we've ever eaten.

The park is being renovated at the entrance area but get past that and stop in for a GREAT burger…read moreand fries. The up charge to substitute sweet potato fries from regular seemed a little high but the reg fries were hot and fresh. The beer selection was pretty big and cold. We will definitely return to try other items on the menu.

I got a breakfast burrito, it's delicious and big enough to share. My kids got the biscuits and gravy- a delicious choice as well. The cinnamon rolls are some of the best! I highly recommend. After my experience, I think the statements are a bit exaggerated, although I do give it high marks. The name Grindstone cowboy is a nice play on words. First, they are a coffeeshop with a bar and deli type items, so grindstone fits well with the title. Grindstone Cowboy is a nice play on Rhinestone Cowboy, the song by Glen Campbell in the 1970s. The western feel of the restaurant complements the name. There is also a vintage store attached to the restaurant/bar for those who happen to like a little shopping with their meal. I had the BLT and she had the chicken salad sandwich. I will say I am not a huge fan of chicken salad, but I could eat this one (would not be tops on my list, but I could do it). The BLT was very nice. I added avocado and don't regret that decision. I thought the bread and bacon choice was on point. A heirloom tomato would have popped this up another notch. Overall, enjoyed it. I do feel the pricing is a bit high for a small town diner. Perhaps it is as popular as the social media post suggested? I did pay in cash to avoid the 4% credit card fee. Would I return? I would not go out of my way to get back here, but if I was passing through, I would certainly consider another go if I was in the mood for a sandwich.
