My husband and I decided to go out for pizza this past Sunday, and when we think of pizza, we…read morealways think of Frankie's Pizza & Grill. We have been here several times over the years, and it is great every time. We shared an appetizer of parmesan truffle fries and a 14-inch "Spring Hill Pizza," which had mozzarella, prosciutto, fresh tomato, arugula, olive oil, and parmesan. We were also offered fresh bread and an olive oil and balsamic mixture when we asked for it. The truffle fries were amazing. We ate through them so quickly. The pizza was good as well, but it felt like something was missing to really bring the flavors together. We ended up putting hot honey on the leftovers at home, and it was perfect. I always love how cozy it is dining at this restaurant, especially when it is not too busy. The smaller size can feel a bit overwhelming when it is packed, but we lucked out with the timing of this visit.

Today I tried the Gluten Free (not the cauliflower) pizza and it was pretty good as far as GF goes. Crispy/crunchy bottom and crust and very fresh ingredients. It's a pretty small pizza (10") for the price ~$25 before tax once I added toppings but very delicious!

We were really looking forward to visiting this location, as this used to be one of our favorite…read morerestaurants when we lived in California. We stopped in while traveling through town and were excited to return. After being seated inside, we noticed a small ant on the table. It didn't seem like a big deal at first, so we removed it and continued with our meal. Our server was friendly, and the food itself was good. However, about halfway through, more ants started appearing--eventually over 10--crawling on the table and around our food. We informed our server, who notified management, but in the meantime we were trying to eat while dealing with ants around our plates. This visit was on March 31st around 6 pm. The manager eventually came over and said they were probably coming from the window, then asked if we would like to move and thanked us for being understanding. She also mentioned they wouldn't be seating anyone else at that table for the rest of the evening. At that point, we had nearly finished eating and didn't want to disrupt our three young children by moving. More importantly, the situation could have been handled differently. Rather than asking if we wanted to move, it would have felt more appropriate for her to take the lead and say something like, "Let me move you to another table," instead of putting it on us in a way that felt dismissive. When you're spending around $140 on a meal, you shouldn't have to deal with bugs on your table. A small gesture--like offering a complimentary dessert or otherwise acknowledging the inconvenience--would have gone a long way in making the experience feel handled with care.

We started with the Classico Board, it was the perfect size for the 3 of us! Good variety of meats, cheeses and a little bread to go with! I had the Strozzapreti, which is chicken, spinach, mushrooms, pine nuts and a cream sauce over pasta. Very good and given that I enjoyed that previously mentioned board, I took a box to bring a bunch of it home. Lest you think that means I was full.... I somehow managed to find room to split a dessert. We had the Salted Caramel Budino, which was a lovely presentation but also very good! The espresso fudge hidden in with the banana was so well balanced (ie. not too banana-y!). And the pecan toffee gave the perfect crunch. Good end to a great meal. Server was excellent and attended to us sufficiently to make it feel like a nice special meal!

Lacked taste. Wife had some noodle food which we didn't enjoy. My fried squid wasn't fried very well and didn't have much squid. The bread they gave was tasty though! People we know love the restaurant so perhaps it's just us. Went home that night and made a great noodle meal with De Cecco noodles and sea animals which wife and I ate till stuffed.

This was the email I sent: "Two friends and I had a 7:15 PM reservation at Culaccino on January 10. Our server was Lee. Things started out fine, but we found ourselves quickly being subjected to Lee's somewhat aggressive approach to service. He honestly was the least personable server I've ever experienced, and had a very condescending manner. A misunderstanding occurred on my friend's order. She was brought a dish with pork in it, which was not what she ordered. Mistakes happen, but Lee was not at ALL nice or accommodating about it, laying the blame on her, and bringing it up multiple times during our meal, with a snarky and resentful undertone. After we paid, he walked up, dropped our checks, and walked away without a word. It was the first time in my life I've ever been tempted to leave zero tip. My conscience for some reason would not allow me to follow through on this, but it was as undeserved as any gratuity I've ever left. We wanted dessert, but we ended up going elsewhere due to how we'd been treated. We also had no clue we would be charged $6 a person for water! Perhaps something that could be mentioned during the ordering process. I've honestly never had a more disappointing dining experience. I loved the ambiance of the restaurant and had hoped to come back for a date night, but our experience left such a bad impression, I can't imagine spending additional money here. I'm not sure if other diners have had this experience with Lee, but we certainly did not feel welcome or valued as customers and felt it was important to make you aware." The food was fine, but most dishes needed salt- so basic. The lack of response from management, however, really says everything one needs to know about Culaccino. I'd truly recommend spending your dining dollars elsewhere.

My only complaint is the sausage add was a little sad. The pizza had so much flavor, especially that rich, garlicky taste that tasted real and fresh, not like fake powdered garlic. You can really tell the difference. The sausage was flavorful, the pizza came out hot and fresh, and everything worked together perfectly. Here's a little secret if you didn't already know. The owner is related to Joey, who used to own Joey's House of Pizza in Nashville, which makes a lot of sense because the pizza had that same delicious quality. I love Joey's house pizza and the owner is Joey's daughter! If you are around definitely a spot worth trying if you love a well-made pizza. They have subs, desserts, pasta you name it! The people was fast and super friendly when we picked up our pizza even though it was close to closing time.

The dipping sauce was fine, though nothing particularly memorable. I ordered the Linguine Di Mare, which is usually one of my favorite dishes, but this version didn't quite deliver. The sauce was very thin and watery -- so much so that it felt like the seafood was still swimming in it. It didn't cling to the pasta or seafood well, which made it difficult to get a full flavor in each bite. The seafood itself was also cooked unevenly. The shrimp were overcooked, while some of the clams were underdone and a few hadn't even opened. My companion ordered the Branzino Crab Imperial, which was excellent and perfectly prepared. That dish really stood out compared to the others we tried. The service, however, was fantastic. Our waiter was friendly, attentive, and very accommodating, which made the experience much more enjoyable overall. While the service was excellent and one dish truly impressed, the inconsistency in the rest of the meal made it a more average experience for me overall.
