Place was very old fashioned like. We ordered the 12" barbecue chicken and the taco pizza. The pizzas were pretty good and different by the cut of the pie and the meats. The packet sour cream was kind of runny but still tasted good on the pizza. read more

I got lunch here today and it was kinda nasty but it was still pizza so I ate like 2 peices. The way they cut the pizza is really weird and I don't like it it's not traditional. Bleck! Wow, really expensive greasy piece of cardboard. That is the only way to describe what I ate. So many locals recommended it, maybe they haven't had frozen because anything would be better than this. The sauce tastes like thick tomato paste and the pizza is so greasy I held my piece over a napkin to drip and ended up having to just blot the grease to soak some of it up. Dreadful. People who give this 4/5 stars must have really low expectations. Like someone mentioned, it's a glorified frozen pizza. Even comes on a slab of cardboard. Awesome pizza and crazy good salad bar!!! We live almost 30 miles from this place but it's well worth the drive to go eat there! I cannot understand the bad reviews I see on here because we have never had a bad experience there with food or service. It's ALWAYS consistently delicious, clean, and salad bar is always full of fresh yummy stuff. We actually fill up on the salad so much before our pizza comes out that we have to box up most of it. We've been eating here for the past 12 years, even though we moved away several years ago, we still have to go get our "Sir Pizza" fix pretty often. There was actually a "Sir Pizza" less than 5 miles from us that has now closed down, but it was nothing like this one, this one is the BEST! Also, the owner is always there running the register and don't know why the person who left a review would refer to her as "grumpy" because she's a very sweet older lady that has never been anything but kind and gracious to us. When we ate here last night, our waitress was very attentive and sweet. She kept our drinks topped off and made sure we had everything we needed and was promptly keeping table clear of plates that were I longer needed and the place was packed! Not sure what her name was but we noticed she stayed busy the whole time we were there, while the other waitress was standing at the table behind ours talking to customers that she knew the whole time. I requested extra sauce in a cup & blended just the toppings with the extra sauce & added some tomato juice to thin it out. It's Still Great!! I've enjoyed Sir Pizza since I was around eight years old. Having lived in High Point all my life, I've heard good and bad about it, and everyone seems to agree: You either love it, or you hate it. The Restaurant: Is old, but clean, a little damp when it rains, but... It is kept at a comfortable temperature, not too bright, yet not drenched in shadow. The Staff: The waitresses are affable, comfortable to talk with, and attentive. The management can sometimes be off-putting. (Mainly at the checkout.) I sometimes have to wait to have my drink refilled, but I'm part camel, so I try not to hold that against a restaurant. The Food: Hormel pepperoni, diced, which is a point of contention amongst most people who eat here, the mentioning of frozen pizza. There isn't a huge selection of toppings, and a few of the pizzas are unable to be changed. That aside, the thin crust, the non-mozzarella cheese, and the sauce combine to offer a great change of pace from other pizzerias. I placed a phone call for delivery exactly twelve minutes ago, and i live 10 minutes away, yet I find myself enjoying some of the most unique and delicious tasting pizza. I would give a big goose egg (0) if I could. I used to REALLY enjoy their pizza, courtesy, and customer service. I loved the fact that this establishment has been in operation for many years and prided itself in loyalty to local patrons and new customers alike. The past few pick-up orders and one dine in experience have been unsatisfactory. I have worked in High Point for 17 years and have eaten MANY Sir Pizzas in that time. We're a family that love the sauce, especially Sir Pizza sauce. I've always been known for ordering "extra extra" sauce. Over the years, that has always been consistent and as it was ordered. Past experiences have been less than acceptable. Our pizzas contained hardly any sauce and were cooked WAY too long. The outer edges had NO sauce and were burnt. My husband commented on the bad burnt taste he had after eating his. I chose not to eat mine. You see, I live 45 minutes away, and it is unfeasible to drive back to have this corrected. Now this is where I become angry and very disappointed. I called right away to have this rectified, whether that be replacing the pizzas the next time I'm in town or refunding the $9.00 I spent on pizza. I would have even settled for $4.50, due to the fact that my husband ate his. This is not the way this correspondence went down. I spoke to three different people, two of which weren't customer friendly and no one offered to rectify the situation, until the next phone call asking for the owners phone number. I believe I spoke to the manager and he went as far as to say, that I was "taking advantage of them". And he may as well have called me a swindler, liar, or con-artist. I'm sorry, but, how is replacing a pizza that the customer wasn't satisfied with taking advantage, or refunded a miniscule amount of money? I only hate that the owner gets punished for sub-par, piss-poor management. I can guarantee that this would have gone completely different had I spoke to the owner in the first place. And I also know that this is not how he would want his loyal customers to be treated. I have always been pleased and have never complained until now. I'd like to give the owner some sound advice. Find management that honor, represent, and mimic your loyalty to customers, even when you aren't present. That manager is a detriment to your business. It's things like this that can slowly deteriorate a company and run it into the ground. He doesn't have the patience or proper etiquette to work in food service and he has NO customer service skills. He also told me that he made the pizzas, so obviously he doesn't believe in "made to order" cooking. I thought this place was fine. The ambiance is questionable at best, but I thought the pizza was good. We had a large veggie pizza for two of us, and it was more food than we could possibly eat. I live in Winston-Salem, and drive to this location about once a month. When I was a kid, I remember a location in Winston on Peter's Creek Parkway that had the best pizza ever. I must say that the new ownership at this location has let the quality slide a bit since taking over. I made the trip tonight and was extremely disappointed when I got home and tried a few pieces. It tasted very bland and somewhat dry with no tomato sauce at all. The taste of the toppings overwhelmed what very little sauce that may have been put on the pizza. The thing some pizza joints don't seen to understand is how important it is to actually have a good quality sauce on their pizza, and enough to be able to taste that it's on there. That's what I've always loved about Papa John's. Maybe instead of paying $27 for another one of these, I'll go to Papa John's and spend $10 and save myself the gas expense as well. read more

Normally we would give them a 5 star, but we ate there on 10/8/16 for supper. There was hardly anybody inside the restaurant so they weren't very busy. For some reason it seemed to be taking longer than normal. When our waitress brought out food for the people behind us that came in way later than we did, I flagged her down to find out where our order was. She said she was dreading coming over to tell us, but the kitchen lost our order. She stated they had just put our pizza in the oven. We finally got our pizza and our bill was totally wrong. The pizza wasn't listed on it. When we finished our food, the waitress brought over another bill and explained to us it was a corrected bill, that she was at fault and did not turn our order in. She didn't take the other bill away, which was about $14 difference. Why she couldn't have been honest the first time is beyond me. When we went to pay the bill, I showed both the bills to the manager and explained that I thought we should only pay the first one since the waitress screwed up and didn't turn our order. He stated he remembered that and apologized, but refused to give us a discount for having to wait so long. Like I said, normally the service and the food is great, but this time there was a list of errors and the manager should have given us some sort of discount or something. Went there tonight for the first time in about a year! Use to be one of my favorite places in High Point. Our pizza was terrible , they've changed the ingredients that they use and it is much cheaper, the cheese wasn't even melted and the sauce had a weird aftertaste. The waitress who was very nice asked us if everything was ok, we let her know that the pizza tasted bad. She stated that it looked wrong . She asked us if we would like to speak to the manager and I told her I would. She came back to the table and said that the manager was busy and wanted me to go up to her! Unacceptable, but I went up to find the manager who was on the phone. I told her about the pizza being bad and she said so you don't like our pizza !
