I do not like that they contract out their work. They just advertise and then do nothing but take a cut of the profit of the poor contracted company that actually shows up to do the work. Sir Carpet is a middle man. The price you are given from them will pretty much be doubled because if there is a spot it has to be "pretreated" so of course they suggest a per square foot charge on top of the amount already agreed upon. read more

I called to try and schedule a service for this Saturday, realizing it was short notice. There was availability Sunday so I took the appointment tentatively. I found someone who could come at the time I wanted and ended up calling to cancel, so no one actually me to clean my carpets. This review is of the woman who answered the phone. Based on what people are saying about their service, she is doing the company a great disservice. She was extremely rude and seems to have no customer service skills whatsoever. Something was clearly bothering her and if she cannot put aside whatever that may be, she is only hurting the company by answering the phones. If she is just inherently rude, I would suggest they find someone else to help potential customers. What a shame! read more

We scheduled an appointment for Sir Carpet to clean our carpet as the last thing to be done after we sold our home and before we moved out of state. Everything was packed and ready to go; we had a six hour drive to reach our destination, and we were only waiting around for the carpet to be cleaned. Two hours before the appointment time, I spoke with someone in their office and let them know that if their crew was available early, we could be ready for them. She said she would let them know. The appointment time came and went, and no one showed. Two hours later, I finally received a call back only to be told that we were not on their schedule for that day! I am not able to recommend them based on the fact that they failed to show for the appointment. I've no idea how well they clean carpets, but I couldn't recommend taking a chance that they would perform well. read more

I needed my carpet cleaned; saw a group-on for $73 for 5 rooms. I bought it thinking that it was a great deal. It ended up costing me $160. To this very day I am still waiting for a receipt. A receipt that should have been left for me after the service was complete which was on 11/30/2012. I have called them numerous times and left numerous messages trying to get a receipt. Spoke with Ashley on 12/17/2012 who stated that she was going to send me a receipt via email. Still nothing, I have yet to receive a call back. I do not know what to do at this point. My daughter purchased a groupon for Sir Carpet and our service was completed this weekend. The groupon was for a basic carpet cleaning service and I chose to upgrade to a full carpet restore service. There was no hard sell, just an explanation of the different options available. Our carpet needed more than the basic service. Our tech was Dave and he was great. He helped with moving furniture, repaired a loose carpet on a stair tread and was very friendly and professional. They arrived on time and called to let me know when he was on his way. Dave helped with moving some of the heavier pieces of furniture back and putting them on hard foam blocks so the metal of the furniture lets would not touch the damp carpet. I highly recommend this company and will happily use them again. read more

I purchased a groupon for 3 rooms at 200 sq ft, and when they arrived I was told they aren't able to put all the details on the groupon and that I purchased a basic cleaning only and I needed a deep cleaning which was $45 more. So I went for the "deep" clean, but wish I would've known that prior to purchasing. It was misleading. The owner (or manager not sure which) had his son do most of the work and he never came back to ask if the job was done to my satisfaction or even to thank us for our business. They gave no information on drying times for the carpet either. I purchased an online deal only to pay more when they came so the deal was hardly a deal at all! I would not recommend. read more

I found Sir Carpet through a Groupon they were offering at the time. I had a roommate moving out and wanted just the spare room's carpet cleaned, and they offered a single room service which was great! The first company I called needed at least $150 minimum service, which was not at all what I was looking for, so I was happy when I first found Sir Carpet. I emailed them about the groupon and they responded within the hour and answered all the questions I needed. I booked their earliest appointment which was about a week later. They sent me a confirmation email which had instructions of how to prepare the room and what to expect on cleaning day. They gave me a two hour time window when they were going to show up, called 15 min before they came, and actually arrived before the start of the window they gave me. I wasn't at home when they came, but my boyfriend was and he said the guy was very professional and was super quick, finished in like 20 minutes. I came home from work to check the carpet and it looks great. It wasn't too dirty to begin with, but had a couple areas you could tell were high traffic and had a couple spot stains, and it looks brand new now. I am very pleased with my experience with Sir Carpet and would definitely recommend them! read more

Bottom line: I did not hire them. Keep reading for entertainment value. I requested quotes from several businesses to clean a large sofa and 2 carpets. Spoke to Cheryl at Sir Carpet, who told me the starting prices and said a tech would come the next day to give me the exact price and then do the job. "Damon" (I doubt that's his real name), came in all friendly and began explaining the job. Then he got to the money. He went into infomercial mode, talking a mile a minute and telling me the base prices Cheryl gave me were wrong. A $240 job was suddenly $350. My husband told him we're not hiring him and he left. Bonus #1: He said he's the owner and boss and Cheryl is his wife. Then he told me he has a girlfriend, who is in a coma in Australia but he's texting her every day. Bonus #2: He threw trash on my driveway. Bonus #3: Cheryl called to apologize and offered to send a different tech. I asked if Damon was the owner and she said no! I said I'm not doing business with her company and hung up. I hope he's not really her husband either. read more

Nearly one month after having my carpets cleaned I received a call from this company that my payment did not go through and my account would be sent to collections. My credit card was stolen and therefore cancelled two weeks after my services with this company, due to them not processing my payment until weeks after I used their services their charge was rejected. Then they call and threaten to send me to collections! There are plenty of carpet cleaning companies out there, I would suggest taking your business elsewhere. Update: Ashley from Sir Carpet has the nerve to ask for payment via yelp AFTER the payment has already been made(for the second time). I have a receipt showing that I paid THE DAY OF service and another receipt showing that I paid prior to this review being written. This company did a very poor job on my carpets. The tech was about an hour late and did not call and notify me until 20 minutes after the "2 hour window". I discussed certain spots with the CSR on the phone and asked that I be called if the tech felt the spots needed to be treated. No one did. Not only do the spots still look terrible, the entire carpet NOW looks DINGY AND GRAY. It all looks dirty. Furthermore, they left my area rug sitting in my garage blocking my parking area. I am 125 lbs. up against a 5 x7, 50 lb. rug. I was told that the charge to clean the rug was 17. I didn't have change and left a $20. They took it and did not leave change or notify me to explain why the $20 was taken. I am out $60 for the carpet and rug "cleaning". I will now have to pay Sears $100 to get the grunge and soap out of my carpet, if possible. What's more, I submitted a low rating on the Groupon site and no one at Sir Carpet bothered to call me and inquire why. I can only assume, they do not care. Needed to have the carpet cleaned for a rental property. Bought a groupon and called for an appointment. I was scheduled for the next day and given a two hour range. George called to let me know when he would be arriving. He was very professional and quoted a reasonable price for the heavily traffic areas, as the Groupon only covered a basic cleaning service. It was also explained on the Groupon fine print and reiterated on the phone. George worked very hard to get the carpet cleaned and for the most part the it looked great! Due to the fact that the carpet had never been cleaned in 5 years, low quality carpet and heavily traffic area, the carpet came out better than expected.
