I got a living social deal for carpet cleaning good for three rooms. They were very good about returning my call to schedule an appointment, and the guy showed up early. But it all went down hill after he arrived. He told me my living room really counted as two rooms (he didn't measure and I live in a small condo with very little carpet). He then said that because we walk on our carpet without shoes, he would need to use a special solution to pull up oil, which would cost more. When he left, my carpets were soaking wet. He told me it was because he had to soak the carpets extra deep. The carpets didn't dry for 3 days, leaving my house smelling like mildew and my carpets looking no better than before he showed up. I called and they were very quick to fix the problem, they told me they would send him back out to fix it. He came back and used an enzymatic odor neutralizer and Said that should fix it. In the end my carpets had streaks of lighter areas, but mostly looked worse and my house had a slight mildew smell. I then hired Zerorez to come out and clean my carpets, they had a three room special and did all three rooms for less than the regular price of Sir Carpet's three room special and my carpets look better than when I moved in. On top of it, the guy mopped the floor where he got shoe prints and my carpets were completely dry within about 4 hours. Whether it's because I had a living social deal or not, I didn't get what I paid for, even after paying basically full price. I would not recommend or use this company again. read more

I purchased a Groupon to see whether they would meet my consumer expectations. I scheduled the appointment but somehow it got written down wrong and they thought they were supposed to be here a week earlier. Fortunately, we got that taken care of and the correct day was updated on their schedule. I asked for a 1 - 3pm window and they granted that but unfortunately, the team arrived about 20 minutes after 3pm. The good news is once they arrived, they killed it. Andrew was the young man that led the team, he communicated very well with me, he protected the walls from the cords and hoses and he cleaned up the area right after. He had a co-worker with him who was just as nice, it was a pleasure to have them in our home. They did a phenomenal job, my family came home and were all so happy with the cleanliness of the carpet. I would highly recommend Sir Carpet for your cleaning needs. In fact, I'm probably going to call them back to clean and seal our tile grout. Great job guys! read more

Tech did not protect my walls at all from the cords of the machine....I have never seen anyone in my life not protect the walls with padding. He scuffed them all up with black marks and dents and chipped paint and just said he wipes them down when he is done. When I pointed out the damage he was doing to the walls, he was cold towards me the remainder of the job. I ALWAYS get the basic service when I get my carpet cleaned from all other companies and it does the job just fine. My carpet looks like it was cleaned with plain dirty water and no cleanser at all because I declined upgrades. It doesn't look clean at all...now just wet and dirty. Annnnnd the technician broke my door blinds valance apparently when he opened up the balcony doors and left them open and never said a word to me that there was damage. Annnnnd I just noticed that the technician has that I paid $49 for the services I received on the invoice when I paid much more than that. I will NEVER use this company again. read more

I purchased a Groupon to get my carpets cleaned .... 3 rooms for $59. I was a little concerned after seeing the reviews on here but am always game for a little adventure. My carpets are a light oatmeal color which I would never get again. After 9 years, they were looking a little dingy and smushed. There were obvious traffic patterns since I'm usually too spacey to remember to take off my shoes before walking on them. I convinced myself Sir Carpet could probably do just as good a job as I could if I rented my own machine for about the same price. When I called, first available appointment was a month out ..... a little disappointing. Athan, the service tech, called the scheduled day and asked if he could come 30 minutes early. He was very professional, friendly, informative and helpful. He did two bedrooms and one large area rug in my media room. After he was finished, the carpets looked 100% better than they did before. I was completley satisfied with the job he did and found it to be a good Groupon experience as well as a good deal! read more

Sir Carpet is a scam!!! Do not fall for the false advertisement. They sold their service thru Groupon for 5 bedrooms at $75 Great so I bought it. Well..... until the guy (Patrick) showed up. The Groupon deal didn't mentioned about extra charges for closets and "strong" chemicals to loosen up the stained areas. I ended up paying more than the average carpet cleaning companies. Not to mention the service was crappy. The guy was in and out of the house in less than one hour. I never saw the guy sprayed anything on the floor nor used a "strong" chemicals. My carpet was cleaned, but not very clean. I could've done a better job had I rented a steam cleaner. read more

But the technician was very up front about what to expect and offered me a service that I felt good about. This unsolicited testimonial is to let readers know that the service rendered was above what I actually expected to receive and I felt the carpet cleaning came out superior to what I have been experiencing in the past. My only issue was that the technician Dave was late, BUT I realize that happened because he works hard to satisfy each customer's expectation before leaving a job. You cannot tell how long a good carpet cleaning job took, but you can ALWAYS tell a poor job. Everything about this company was amazing. I found it on Groupon and called prior to purchasing, just as I do every time I need carpet cleaning. Cheryl gave me a better price than what was offered because I needed more than 4 rooms but less and 1400 sqft. There was a scheduling conflict but since my house was closing the next day, I was going to be forced to find a different company. Cheryl was able to work some magic and get me on the books for my desired day. Yesterday was my appointment and the tech, Cameron was amazing! He was professional, punctual, incredibly efficient and knowledgeable. He did the restoration service for free since the pump was malfunctioning on the other equipment. I purchased a carpet cleaning from Groupon as a gift for my mother from Sir Carpet. My mother scheduled the appointment, moved all of her furniture and was ready for clean carpets. I received a call from my mom and she said that the job couldn't be done. She explained that the two techs from Sir Carpet called her and asked if they could come out early for the appointment, which was totally fine. When they arrived at her apartment complex, one of the techs came to the door and asked my mom if she had a hose. Of course, my mother replied no. The tech then asked if she knew if the apartment complex had any hoses. Puzzled, my mom said she had no idea. The tech said ok, he would be back and went to his truck. About 5 minutes later, my mom received a call from the techs. They had left and couldn't do the job. Just like that. Wow... How unprofessional! Neither of us received a call from their management explaining why the job couldn't be done. Luckily, Groupon stepped up and refunded the cost. I will NEVER use this company. read more

The technician parked in the street and ran his hoses across our lawn. Two days later our grass was dead from where the hoses had been. One can clearly see the path of the hoses across our lawn into our house. Parking in the driveway and laying the hoses on the sidewalk would have prevented damage to our lawn. read more

I used this company for the first time because they had a good deal on a groupon. I don't care how good of a deal they will give me I would never use them again. I needed a full house carpet clean due to I was moving out of my rental house. They first tell me they are going to be there between 1-4. The guy calls me at 2 telling me he is on his way. At 4:30 he calls me again to say he is on his way and that he was 30 minutes away. 6:30 rolls by and he text me this time to tell me he ran out of gas and to text him back if he wants me to still come to clean the carpet as it would be another hour and a half before he gets there. I reschedule for the following day and because I was so upset they send a different technician. He shows up right on time but then cleans my 1400 square foot house in a total of 45 minutes when they quoted me 2 and a half hours. The carpet looked like SHIT. No stains came up at all and that was due to he zipped over it and didn't clean it properly. Nothing was offered to me for my inconvenience. Such a joke company with no customer service or care for the customer. If you are looking for a good carpet clean and good customer service use Zerorez. read more

We've used Sir Carpet twice in our move from one house to another and would use them again. We couldn't believe that the carpet in the first house went from looking like it needed to be replaced to looking almost new. The scheduler worked with us to make the appointment as convenient as possible. The technicians were friendly and efficient. We really like that they actually use steam to clean the carpets. Besides the wall-to-wall carpets, they did a great job on our area rugs, too. They went over stains several times and were able to remove all but one that was there since the previous owners and their dog lived there. I know they tried their best to remove it. They also gave us helpful information about caring for the carpets. read more

They have explained that the basic cleaning is just a shampoo wash on the carpet surface. After they cleaned my carpet, the owner of the company showed up on my doorstep four days later and threatened to call the cops on me for a declined payment. Turns out, they had the incorrect card number. He then decided to step in my house, call me a liar and say "I will get my money one way or another". He wouldn't leave my driveway for over 40 minutes. I went for whole house cleaning with them by Groupon Voucher. I paid 110$ for entire house where 55$ for three rooms. Anyway, I am cleaning, so I want to do for my whole house and bought. The technician came and told that 110$ whole house coupon can only be used for 2000 square feet and it needs someone to measure my house. Holy crap. Ridiculous. Someone will come measure how long 2000 sq ft carpet area and work accordingly. Since we blocked other appointments because of this cleaning schedule we don't want to cancel and go for another day or any other company. So, we finally agreed to do 4 rooms. I was thinking why would I buy whole house voucher for 110$ where I am using only for 4 rooms instead I would have gone for three rooms voucher for 55$. Now, coming to the cleaning service. Only one person came with just sponge and cleaning liquid for carpet cleaning. Are you laughing? Yes, I laughed. Without any equipment he just came. Cleaned 4 rooms by hand with sponge and washing liquid. Not drying process at all. Finally, it got dry after one day. I would have call the company and yell at them. But, my husband don't want since the person who came is old guy and he might lose his job. Don't ever buy any service from them. read more

Sorry to say I can't leave a positive review. I just didn't feel like my carpets were clean afterward. It looked like the tech was just using water in his machine and then with a spray bottle in the other hand sprayed the carpet with something (maybe fragrance?). The stairs seemed to be a challenge since they looked like they were merely sprayed with water mist in one tiny spot each which then formed stains on each stair. Bought a groupon deal and felt like I got the the groupon deal. We ended up buying a Bissel carpet cleaner at Costco on sale for $159 and though we have to do it ourselves, that little machine has more than paid for itself and does an awesome job. Revised review- I would still recommend not wasting money on the groupon basic cleaning (as it is just wetting the carpet down) but Sir Carpet did make it right by having the technician do the deep cleaning at no extra charge.
