My schedule time was 9 o'clock with a window of two hours for them to show up. At 10 o'clock I called to see if there was an ETA and the woman who answered the phone told me she would call me back. She didn't call me back until 1140 which was 40 minutes after the window time. I never heard from the cleaner either. It would have been nice to know he wasn't going to show or that he was going. I really wanted to like this carpet cleaning service. My conversation on the phone with Cheryl was very positive, and the Yelp reviews looked pretty good. The problem was the actual service! I have a carpet made up of FLOR tiles. These are separate tiles that attach to each other by adhesive dots. FLOR recommends professional cleaning with a wet extraction process. I mentioned the type of tiles and the recommended process on the phone and I was assured that Sir Carpet had dealt with this type of rug and knew how to clean it. They did say that the technician who came would asses the rug and know if he could clean it properly. I thought that I was in good hands. When the Dave, the technician did come, I mentioned all these issues to him, and he also assured me that he knew what he was doing. I did get a bit nervous when he asked me if I had a tarp that we could put around the edges of the carpet to protect my bamboo floors. (Hmmm...shouldn't the professional think to bring a tarp with him on jobs??? ) So I did not have a tarp, but did give him several large trash bags that I thought might help. The bags didn't really function well around the edges of the carpet, but he was able to use them underneath the hose that he pulled in the front door, across my bamboo floors to keep the water from his hose off of the floors!!!! But he assured me that he would dry everything off when he was done. All in all a pretty poor experience, because when he left , the carpet did look clean, but when I checked the carpet, there was water under the whole carpet, the adhesive dots that hold the tiles together all were coming off, and I had to pull all the tiles out of the room, and put them on the patio to dry. It is obvious that the water they used went between the carpet tiles and onto the floor. What a mess. The tiles were heavy and time consuming to move. My biggest complaint is that if they did not know how to deal with this type of carpet, why take the job and lie to me that they knew how to do it properly. When I called Sir Carpet to complain, Cheryl was quite nice and accommodating. She was the only good part of this experience. Maybe they should have Cheryl out in the field? She is the reason that I have given Sir Carpet two stars instead of one. read more

In my most recent experience I was upsold for a more deeper clean for which I was happy to pay given the job was done right.. Well..
