As someone who is both casually food conscious yet intentional about health due to physical illness, the staff works to accommodate specific dietary needs, questions, and concerns. A customer's first thoughts about the establishment might be overshadowed by the steeper prices; however, Plant Wasted does not skimp on either quantity or quality. And--the food is incredible! Plant Wasted is purposeful with their ingredients and supports local vendors which I love! Everything is so fresh, and menu items like wellness bowls and sandwiches/toast are made to order (which can entail longer wait times but is well worth it!) Despite not being marketed as a cafe, I believe Plant Wasted might just have the best coffee in the area. Juices are fresh pressed and packed with flavor, nutrition, and whole foods. Some of my personal favorites include the Born for Leavin' Sandwich, which is spread with a decadent, garlicy hummus, the scrapyard spring rolls, and the Vibin' w/ Michelle smoothie bowl topped with their rich hazelnut spread! The dining area inside is on the smaller scale fashioned with two high tops and bar seating facing a window. The atmopshere is casual and relaxed which suits Plant Wasted's tropical getaway theme. They have an uncovered outdoor patio with chairs and tables to enjoy when weather permits. Love this place!

The customer service was also lacking. The staff didn't greet me when I walked in or ask if I needed help. They seemed rushed from the start and didn't make me feel welcome. While making my smoothie, the employee worked so quickly it felt like she was trying to shoo me out the door. For the price, I expected much better quality and a friendlier atmosphere. Unfortunately, both the drink and the service missed the mark. I won't be coming back and can't recommend it unless things improve.

Love the concept…read more Frankly, I think it's kind of the best time to be open now as the only other reliable coffee chain that serves decaf, aka Starbucks is somehow only open til 6pm these days (what!?). Plus, I was already a fan of the Bremen branch, now we don't need to cross i-20 for decent coffee after 6. Love the signature classic latte flavors, iced Milan mint mocha is subtly minty and awesomely chocolately! Other signature flavors are tad bit sweeter for the sweet tooths out there. Oh if it wasn't apparently already earlier - for my fellow decaf drinkers, they do decaf espresso drinks! Woo! P.S. bring spare dollars & change to tip the baristas!

The key difference I see between the competitors only a minute or two apart is the ingredient list in each drink. If you're like me and like simple 4 ingredient smoothies without the extra "immune/ muscle boost," tropical smoothie cafe is for you. Plus, you won't get charged the premium fee that come with these boosters included in the basic price, like at Smoothie King. Their rewards app is easy to use and I quickly ordered a Guava Margarita and a BBQ Pork Quesadilla (both summer offerings). I don't see many places offer fresh guava so its a plus! Pleasantly surprised by the quality of food at a smoothie chain. I'd order again - and definitely be back to try other blends!
