Great little coffee shop, with food folks owning it, good food and a bonus of original art pieces for sale.

More than just coffee! Excellent sandwiches made by K(ellie) herself. And she also makes jewelry on site.

I haven't had a good pumpkin coffee in over 2 years! Their new brown sugar pumpkin iced is amazing! Not too pumpkin, not too much cinnamon/spice, perfectly sweet enough! We are picky! We only like coffee shops that make their own syrups. Hubs tried the Boo-Berry and LOVED it! Tastes like the milk left over after 2 bowls of boo-berry cereal. Memories!!! Yesterday, we both had caramel mocha hot lattes. Delicious! Place is adorable, calm, comfortable. Staff is helpful and friendly. Clearly know how to make good coffee! Just wish I didn't live 2+ hours away. We will be back one day! I wish I had snapped a pic of the boo-berry, but he was too excited to drink it and I forgot. It was pretty!

The drink was layered nicely and tasted good -- the matcha was smooth and the strawberry added a light sweetness. Service was quick and professional. I placed my order, and it was ready shortly after without any issues. The shop itself was quiet while I was there -- most folks seemed to be working or reading, which made it a pretty calm environment. Overall, it was a nice, simple stop. Not much to it, but the drink hit the spot for what I was craving at the moment.

Don't sleep on the prepped fridge, either. They have different ice cream flavors and savory options like shepherd's pie and pizza. I tried the pizza, and it was pretty good, with that local shop quality. I'd give it a 7/10. The pies are really good too. My man loved the peanut butter pie and the cheesecake brownie. I love the ice cream, and as someone who usually doesn't like brownies, I even enjoyed the crunchy, cheesecake-y side of his brownie. That's saying something! You can sit inside I've never done that but it does lok fun for those who do I think they even have games to play but don't quote me

I was looking for a sweet treat for me and the kids, and I'm so glad we came back! The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming. They let us know we could sample as many flavors as we wanted, and were patient and helpful the whole time. The flavor options are fun and creative, and they offer kiddie cups, milkshakes, and more. Last time I was here, I had the Browned Butter Brownie and still remember it as one of the best ice creams I've ever had. This time, I went with the Biscoff Cookie (so good!), and my kids got PB&J and Butter Brickle. We all loved our choices--the ice cream is thick, creamy, and perfectly sweet without being overwhelming. Bonus points for their sustainability efforts: paper cups and lids for most sizes, and compostable spoons! Kiddie size still has a clear plastic lid, but I appreciate the effort overall. Can't wait to come back again next time we're in town.

Plant Wasted is a true dining gem amongst Carrollton's restaurant scene. Employees are super…read morehelpful and knowledgeable about the menu. As someone who is both casually food conscious yet intentional about health due to physical illness, the staff works to accommodate specific dietary needs, questions, and concerns. A customer's first thoughts about the establishment might be overshadowed by the steeper prices; however, Plant Wasted does not skimp on either quantity or quality. And--the food is incredible! Plant Wasted is purposeful with their ingredients and supports local vendors which I love! Everything is so fresh, and menu items like wellness bowls and sandwiches/toast are made to order (which can entail longer wait times but is well worth it!) Despite not being marketed as a cafe, I believe Plant Wasted might just have the best coffee in the area. Juices are fresh pressed and packed with flavor, nutrition, and whole foods. Some of my personal favorites include the Born for Leavin' Sandwich, which is spread with a decadent, garlicy hummus, the scrapyard spring rolls, and the Vibin' w/ Michelle smoothie bowl topped with their rich hazelnut spread! The dining area inside is on the smaller scale fashioned with two high tops and bar seating facing a window. The atmopshere is casual and relaxed which suits Plant Wasted's tropical getaway theme. They have an uncovered outdoor patio with chairs and tables to enjoy when weather permits. Love this place!

I was really excited to try Plant Wasted, but my visit on August 6th was very disappointing…read more The smoothie I ordered had large chunks of frozen food in it, and the texture was extremely watery--nothing like what you'd expect from a "high-end" smoothie shop. The customer service was also lacking. The staff didn't greet me when I walked in or ask if I needed help. They seemed rushed from the start and didn't make me feel welcome. While making my smoothie, the employee worked so quickly it felt like she was trying to shoo me out the door. For the price, I expected much better quality and a friendlier atmosphere. Unfortunately, both the drink and the service missed the mark. I won't be coming back and can't recommend it unless things improve.

The cake was beautiful (clearly Yelp's AI thought so too, and now it's the cover photo). The Kaluha buttercream was absolutely perfect, but I do wish the bread was softer - the vanilla cake was a bit dry even with the layered syrup in between. As for drinks - the thai iced coffee was nice and strong, but for our second drink, they made us a latte, not a mocha as I requested. They did seem a bit busy during this dinner time, but there's quite a difference in flavor between the two when you're craving a sweet drink you know (also a minor price difference)... While we've only been here for lunch otherwise but I must say their pastry case items look so appealing at every visit (oh how we managed to be good). Of course, we will be back to try those other mini pastries!
